Chapter 707: World Mission

The space of the Main God.

Inside the world of Vampire Zombies.

Charles wore a black trench coat, looking completely transformed. Having experienced numerous story worlds and strengthened himself with contribution points, he had seized the early opportunities of the Main God Space and had now become one of the strongest among the reincarnators. His telekinetic ability had been enhanced to level A, earning him the title of “Mind King,” with only a few reincarnators able to rival him.

At this moment, after completing several missions, he had finally uncovered the ultimate secret of the Vampire Zombie world.

“Captain, after using several golden-grade items and the contributions of many members, we’ve finally made it here!”

Behind him were several reincarnators with different expressions. Some wore medieval plate armor, resembling a knight without a horse, while others were dressed in futuristic attire, with liquid metal forming armor on their bodies and ion-lit ray guns in their hands.

At that moment, Charles used his telekinesis to crush a golden carnivorous plant monster, nearly two meters tall, into pieces.

Amidst the blood mist, a dark red energy core appeared and was firmly grasped by Charles.

[Ding!]

The mechanical yet mighty voice of the Main God rang out directly: [Obtained the key item—Carnivorous Plant Heart, final step completed! World Task triggered!]

[Final World Task—Investigation!]

[Task Description: After countless explorations, you have finally discovered the source of the Vampire Zombie world’s mutation—the alien and sinister golden carnivorous plant. It was used by Dr. Sachs for cure research, but due to a lab leak, it caused this worldwide disaster. Now, his underground research facility has successfully developed a cure.]

[Task Objective: Raid Dr. Sachs’s underground headquarters, seize the cure, and save the entire world.]

[Task Success: Reward 300,000 contribution points and one S-grade voucher! Task Failure: Deduct 300,000 contribution points; if insufficient, immediate elimination will occur!]

“Indeed, worthy of being the only world task, the rewards and punishments are extremely heavy!”

Charles said, his face showing excitement and eagerness.

“Chief! An S-grade voucher too?!”

One of his subordinates shouted excitedly: “That’s the key for us to further enhance our abilities or exchange for other precious items!”

Charles clearly remembered that on the Main God Space’s exchange list, there was even an item to resurrect the dead, but the required items were extremely rare, with the entry threshold being an S-grade voucher.

“Regarding this task, whether to accept or abandon it, I will hear everyone’s opinion!”

Even at this moment, Charles suppressed his inner impulse and asked solemnly.

After experiencing so many things, he was no longer that ordinary salesman, but a leader of a powerful reincarnation force with both wisdom and means.

“Of course, we accept!”

Among his subordinates, there were both living people and originally undead beings, though they looked almost the same externally. Now they all clamored excitedly: “If not for this final task, why would we spend so much effort entering the Vampire Zombie world as a team?”

“Very well, then let’s move out!”

Charles, full of vigor and determination, took out an armored vehicle, and his team quickly boarded it, rushing toward Dr. Sachs’s research facility.

Across the endless expanse of wasteland, the sci-fi styled armored vehicle sped forward, attracting many vampire zombies. Unfortunately, their claws couldn’t inflict any damage on the armor plates. Instead, the driver unhesitatingly crushed right over them, leaving a trail of blood and flesh fragments.

“The entrance to Dr. Sachs’s research facility is in the most dangerous urban area, where the probability of various mutant monsters appearing is very high. Everyone, rest well; once we arrive, we must immediately be on high alert!”

Charles touched his slightly bald head and earnestly reminded them.

After so many explorations, he had become extremely familiar with the entire Vampire Zombie world.

Such wastelands, where only a few vampire zombies numbering in the tens could be found, could be considered the safest areas in this world. Even ordinary people, as long as they could wield weapons and have the resolve to kill mercilessly, had a chance to survive.

However, if one ventured deeper into populated towns or animal-rich forests, the danger would suddenly increase.

The most dangerous places were the original big cities, because the large population base caused many vampire zombies to mutate, even producing monsters of the same level as the previous golden carnivorous plants. Their abilities were bizarre and unpredictable, making them hard to guard against. Even high-level reincarnator teams couldn’t say for sure they could pass through safely.

“I am now an A-grade psychic, which according to the Main God Space’s classification, makes me a third-tier reincarnator!”

Charles had a clear understanding of his own strength: “And for the final world task, the guardian boss won’t be weaker than me. Most likely, it will be a fourth-tier reincarnator!”

Each level difference meant a significant gap in power. Charles didn’t have much confidence in his team’s ability to successfully complete the mission.

Despite this, he clenched his fists tightly.

“A chance to resurrect! An S-grade voucher! This is the closest we’ve ever been! I must get it!”

The underground entrance to Dr. Sachs’s research facility was located within a massive city.

Before being destroyed by the virus, this city had a population of over ten million. At least half of them had turned into those monsters, and half of those became food for their own kind. Now, the entire city appeared extremely quiet.

But Charles knew that this was only superficial.

Once they, as living beings, entered this city and emitted their scent, it would definitely attract the attention of top predators—those were mutated monsters, mostly with the strength of third-tier reincarnators!

Among his subordinates, if anyone faced one of these monsters alone, they would almost certainly die!

However, the reason humans could rule the world was because of their intelligence, knowing how to use tools and think.

“Apply these substances!”

Charles brought out several buckets of foul-smelling blood plasma. Its dark color and nauseating odor caused his team members to frown.

However, for reincarnators, in order to survive, they had to endure even the most humiliating conditions. Those who couldn’t bear it would have already died in the brutal reincarnation worlds. Thus, there were barely any complaints, and even the female members silently took the blood plasma and corpse liquid and smeared it all over themselves without hesitation.

“Vampire zombies are extremely sensitive to living beings but have no alertness towards their own kind, even the mutants are the same…”

Charles took a brush and painted himself into a dark red blood-soaked figure: “This should be enough to mask our scent. As long as we aren’t directly spotted by mutants, ordinary vampire zombies shouldn’t attack us!”

As for the virus on these substances, there were naturally ways to deal with it. Even if it was a slow infection, it wouldn’t matter, because once the mission was completed and they returned to the Main God Space, there were plenty of ways to cure it.

If they couldn’t return… then there would be no need to consider these things at all.

“Move out!”

Soon, at Charles’s command, the team quickly disappeared into the city.

“Hehehe…”

On the silent, deserted streets, shattered glass and numerous abandoned cars lined the sides, exuding a strong sense of desolation.

In the dark corners, one could still vaguely see several pairs of blood-red eyes.

However, although these lowest-level zombies would go crazy at the scent of living blood, they didn’t notice the living beings passing by, who were smeared with the blood of their own kind.

“Three o’clock position ahead, two hundred meters away, there’s a mutated corpse rat!”

One of Charles’s team members closed his eyes, then affirmed with certainty: “Its aura is very strong, probably reaching level two, with a certain level of intelligence. If we are seen directly, it will definitely notice us!”

“Can we go around?”

Charles frowned.

“No!”

The scout closed his eyes again, then shook his head: “If we detour, the surrounding areas also have mutant monsters’ territories, and they will only be stronger than this corpse rat!”

“Then there’s no choice. We have to eliminate it!”

Charles raised his eyebrows: “I’ll handle it personally, with Ansha assisting!”

“Understood, chief!”

A female reincarnator stepped out from behind him. She had originally been very beautiful, but now, after smearing blood plasma, she looked indescribably disgusting and terrifying.

“To silently eliminate a level two monster, only the chief and Ansha can do it!”

The reincarnators behind him all nodded in agreement.

If given time and space, they could eliminate ten corpse rats, but doing so would inevitably cause a commotion, attracting all the monsters in the city.

Under the siege of hundreds of thousands of monsters, plus high-level mutated beasts lurking in the shadows, even Charles would only have one outcome—death.

“Squeak! Squeak!”

Charles, with Ansha, climbed over an office building and indeed saw a massive dark shadow inside a supermarket across the way.

Its body was covered in fur, as large as several buffaloes, and it was now crunching on something.

“Indeed a level two monster. I’ll distract it, Ansha, you take it out!”

Charles slightly closed his eyes.

Suddenly, the feeding corpse rat became alert, its fur bristling like steel needles.

Unfortunately, by now, it was already too late.

“Restrain!”

As Charles coldly uttered the word, the giant corpse rat immediately collapsed on the ground, its mouth bound as if by an invisible chain, unable to make any sound.

“Ansha!”

Charles softly called out, and the woman beside him immediately turned into a dark red shadow, with what seemed like sand swirling around her.

“Sand Burial!”

Numerous fine grains of sand appeared, forming sharp spears that pierced into the corpse rat’s most vulnerable spots—its eyes and throat.

Puh!

Blood splattered, and in the next moment, the life force on the corpse rat completely vanished.
