Chapter 328: Liu Manman’s Secret Stash

In the morning, Yu Ningmeng woke up from her sleep. She didn’t open her eyes immediately, but reached out to touch An Siyao beside her, only to find nothing.

Opening her eyes and seeing the empty space on both sides of the bed, Yu Ningmeng thought An Siyao and Hu Lianglu had already gotten up. She hurriedly sat up as well.

However, after sitting up, she noticed that An Siyao and Hu Lianglu were still sound asleep on the other side of the bed.

Yu Ningmeng had made quite a bit of noise, which woke up An Siyao and Hu Lianglu.

Looking at Yu Ningmeng at the foot of the bed, Hu Lianglu, hugging Xia Yu, asked in confusion, “How did you get over there?”

“I don’t know either,” Yu Ningmeng replied with equal confusion.

“Maybe you sleepwalked,” Xia Yu interjected.

Yu Ningmeng fell into self-doubt.

This question didn’t linger long in her mind because she had spent the entire previous day with An Siyao, and she had many things to do today, so she left the bedroom first.

Xia Yu also got out of bed, followed by Hu Lianglu.

After they had both washed up, Xia Yu first combed his own hair, then helped Hu Lianglu braid hers.

He wanted Hu Lianglu to stop clinging to him constantly, but he couldn’t completely prevent her from following him either. The balance was to reach the point where she wouldn’t disturb his intimate moments with An Siyao.

After breakfast, Xia Yu stood up and walked toward the bedroom, with Hu Lianglu following behind.

At the door of An Siyao’s bedroom, he stopped Hu Lianglu from entering.

“You should also learn to stay by yourself,” Xia Yu told her.

“No,” Hu Lianglu dodged around Xia Yu and entered the bedroom.

She lay on the bed and unceremoniously picked up An Siyao’s notebook to watch a movie.

Snatching the notebook back and placing it on the desk, Xia Yu grabbed Hu Lianglu’s neck and tried to pull the girl out.

Realizing Xia Yu’s intention, Hu Lianglu turned her head, revealing a fierce expression, and threw a pillow in resistance.

Xia Yu swatted the pillow aside and frowned.

The little troublemaker actually dared to turn against him now.

Activating his skill at level 2 strength, Xia Yu grabbed Hu Lianglu, slung her over his shoulder, carried her to her bedroom, threw her onto the bed, and closed the door.

Still immersed in character, Xia Yu reached his waist but didn’t find his belt, reminding himself of the real matter at hand.

He picked up a book from the bookshelf and approached Hu Lianglu. To deal with such a delinquent girl, he needed to make her understand clearly who was the stronger and who was the weaker.

Indeed, after a good spanking, Hu Lianglu became much more obedient.

“Just stay here, understand?” Xia Yu said.

Hu Lianglu looked dejected and didn’t answer, but she didn’t follow him when Xia Yu turned to leave.

“I’ll be back in an hour,” Xia Yu said, then closed the door.

He went to the piano room, playing the piano while chatting with An Siyao. After about fifty minutes, he went to Hu Lianglu’s bedroom.

Hu Lianglu was lying on the bed looking at her phone. When she saw him come in, she briefly showed a happy expression, but it quickly turned into a sullen face.

Approaching Hu Lianglu, Xia Yu patted her head in approval.

Xia Yu sensed that Hu Lianglu’s goodwill had increased slightly. He hadn’t expected this method could actually raise affection levels.

It was probably because he had kept his promise, returning exactly one hour later.

Nobody likes being constantly attached to someone, but people fear the other party suddenly disappearing.

In this case, there was no need to go through the trouble of disciplining Hu Lianglu. He only needed to let her understand that he wouldn’t abandon her by breaking his promises.

Hu Lianglu was somewhat like You Xue. Without an older brother like himself, her outward symptoms were more severe than You Xue’s, but she wasn’t as stubborn.

Spending half an hour with Hu Lianglu, Xia Yu began another round of separation practice.

This time, he told Hu Lianglu he would return in an hour and a half.

Hu Lianglu once again showed displeasure and hostility.

An hour and a half later, Xia Yu kept his promise and returned, spending another hour with Hu Lianglu before starting a new round of practice.

Practicing like this throughout the day, when Xia Yu told Hu Lianglu he needed to leave, she was already able to calmly say goodbye.

Correcting Hu Lianglu’s personality had already made significant progress.

If they practiced one more day tomorrow, ideally, they could start the next round the day after. Xia Yu thought.

At night, Xia Yu returned to his own body.

Picking up his phone, he first checked a message from You Xue, which was a photo of An Siyao.

『Took this when I visited Lingling today!』

During the day, Xia Yu had been using An Siyao’s body all along and hadn’t noticed that You Xue had secretly taken a photo of him.

Looking at the photo, even though the figure in the picture was clearly An Siyao, Xia Yu felt an uncomfortable sense of seeing himself.

He deleted the photo and sent You Xue a thumbs-up emoji.

Although Xia Yu didn’t like this particular photo, You Xue’s act of secretly photographing a girl to show her older brother was worth praising.

After chatting a bit more with You Xue about her school life, and receiving reminders from her about dressing warmly when the weather turned cold, what to wear, and where his clothes were, Xia Yu ended the conversation with the girl.

He flipped through his contacts again, but Xu Youxiang still hadn’t added his Penguin account. It seemed this matter was a bit complicated.

However, he was indeed occupied at the moment. Hu Lianglu was relatively obedient under his care, but under An Siyao’s supervision, she might not necessarily remain well-behaved.

By using soothing methods combined with the opportunity of sleep at night, he could make Hu Lianglu sleep for a long time, which would allow him to go see Xu Youxiang first.

However, going to Xu Youxiang before she re-added his Penguin account would result in a severe scolding. Listening to an hour of scolding was quite pleasant, but continuing like this for too long would become a headache.

When would he acquire a teleportation skill, so that the moment Xu Youxiang got angry, he could rush over and pin her against the wall physically to vent her anger?

Xia Yu was merely thinking. This was a normal world; how could anyone possess such a teleportation talent?

Hmm, at least the surface of this world still appeared normal.

Putting aside thoughts of teleportation for now, Xia Yu began considering how to make Xu Youxiang stop being angry.

He found Liu Manman’s Penguin account and messaged the girl.

『What’s up?』 Liu Manman replied quickly.

『Show me your little treasure』

Suddenly seeing such a reply from Xia Yu, Liu Manman’s body stiffened. After confirming it was the character for “treasure,” she relaxed slightly.

She then thought about what “treasure” Xia Yu was referring to and quickly reached a conclusion.

Getting off her bed, Liu Manman put on some clothes and went to the basement. She took photos of her many pieces of jewelry displayed in the showcase and sent them to Xia Yu.

Liu Manman sent dozens of photos, though this didn’t mean she only had a dozen or so items in her collection. Each photo typically contained five to ten items.

Xia Yu was overwhelmed by the dazzling display. He spent half an hour making his selection.

『I want this one,』 Xia Yu chose a gemstone-encrusted scepter.

『No way! This one is not for sale!』 Liu Manman refused Xia Yu outright.
