Chapter 171: Yao Man’s Disagreement

Xia Yu originally wanted to enjoy the surprised expression on Xu Youxiang’s face, but it was his body that Xu Youxiang was currently using.

Seeing his own face full of shock was simply not something that could bring him joy.

“How does it feel?” Xia Yu abandoned his initial teasing thoughts.

Xu Youxiang hurriedly climbed onto the bed. At this moment, she felt sensation returning to her legs. Looking down, she saw a pair of legs wearing trousers.

“What is this…” She reached out and touched her face.

“Don’t bother guessing. You’re in my body now,” Xia Yu said.

However, Xu Youxiang still headed toward the bathroom wanting to look in the mirror. Because she hadn’t used her legs for a long time, she staggered somewhat and almost fell midway.

Using her hands to support herself against the washbasin, Xu Youxiang looked into the mirror and saw Xia Yu’s face reflected back at her.

“So we really switched bodies.” Her fear gone, Xu Youxiang was amazed.

“I can take my body back anytime, so please don’t do anything strange,” Xia Yu said. He was beginning to understand how Xu Youxiang had felt when she first met him.

“If a beautiful girl uses your body to do strange things, you should feel honored,” Xu Youxiang said happily as she walked on the ground, something she hadn’t done in a long time.

“If you don’t want to keep playing, I can return the body to you,” Xia Yu threatened Xu Youxiang.

“Alright, alright, no strange things,” Xu Youxiang replied as she walked back and forth in the room.

She was excited about being able to move freely again.

After walking around the room enough, Xu Youxiang came to stand in front of Xia Yu again.

As Xia Yu was thinking about what he could do with two million, Xu Youxiang suddenly reached out and blocked his line of sight.

“What are you doing?” Xia Yu swatted her hand away.

“Nothing. I just feel a bit gleeful watching you stuck in a wheelchair,” she said with a chuckle.

“??? Are you trying to end this game?”

As Xia Yu was about to threaten her again, Xu Youxiang reached out and pinched his face.

“So this is what my face feels like. No wonder you like pinching it.” With both hands, Xu Youxiang started messing with Xia Yu’s face.

“If you want to pinch, go back to your own body and pinch all you want,” Xia Yu resisted. However, using Xu Youxiang’s body, he was far less powerful than in his own.

“So this is the expression I made when you pinched me before? Fascinating,” Xu Youxiang said excitedly. She then reached toward Xia Yu’s legs. “Come on, scold me like you did back then. I want to see what it feels like.”

“Are you a pervert?” Xia Yu looked at Xu Youxiang in disbelief.

“Exactly like that.” After carefully experiencing it, Xu Youxiang gave her evaluation. “It was actually quite pleasant. Scold me more.”

Blocking her hands and threatening to switch back, Xia Yu finally managed to get rid of Xu Youxiang.

He was already somewhat regretting letting Xu Youxiang use his body. She was clearly too excited to control herself.

“Let’s go out for a walk?” Xu Youxiang became restless again.

“I know you’re excited now, but please restrain yourself a bit. I can switch back anytime, and after that, you won’t be able to easily come back here again,” Xia Yu warned.

After getting Xu Youxiang’s assurance, Xia Yu allowed her to go out, asking her to push his wheelchair along.

Throughout the journey, aside from moving a bit faster than usual, Xu Youxiang was relatively well-behaved.

However, she refused to give the body back until Xia Yu used the excuse of the eight-hour time limit, at which point she reluctantly relinquished control.

Back in his wheelchair body, Xu Youxiang felt somewhat disheartened.

“I’ll let you play again if there’s a chance in the future,” Xia Yu reached out and pinched Xu Youxiang’s face.

“Let go! Didn’t you just feel how unpleasant it is when you pinch someone?” Xu Youxiang resisted.

“But now I’m the one feeling pleasure,” Xia Yu took his revenge.

It was already 3 a.m., and neither of them could go back home, so they had to spend the night together in the hotel.

Fortunately, Xia Yu had booked a double room.

In the following week, Xia Yu allowed Xu Youxiang to use his body once again, which she used to participate in a marathon at a nearby university.

With twelve days remaining until the competition, yesterday the three of them had sent their video and audio files to the organizers via email. Today, Liu Manman anxiously awaited a reply.

In contrast, Xia Yu and An Siyao remained calm and composed.

In the evening, the reply email finally arrived.

Liu Manman nervously opened it and her face lit up with surprise.

“We did it!” she exclaimed excitedly. “Moreover, they said we can try submitting a third piece.”

The third piece needed to be submitted a week later, and the organizers would review and discuss them, eliminating the unsuitable ones and selecting the acceptable ones.

“Can the third piece be for me and Xia Yu?” Liu Manman turned to An Siyao, wanting to do a guzheng and xiao flute duet.

She had originally thought An Siyao would easily agree, but surprisingly, An Siyao didn’t accept.

“I want to do a piano solo,” An Siyao said firmly, more determined than ever.

They immediately found themselves at odds.

“This might be the highest-level performance I ever get to participate in, while for you, you can join anytime you want. Can’t you give this one to me?” Liu Manman tried to appeal to An Siyao’s sympathy by showing vulnerability.

“You can have all the future ones, but not this one. He needs to see it,” An Siyao refused to yield.

Liu Manman then turned to Xia Yu, hoping for his support.

At this moment, Xia Yu was wearing headphones, listening to music.

“What are you doing? We’re discussing the third piece right now!” Liu Manman removed Xia Yu’s headphones.

“I’m listening to the pieces from our competitors.” The official website had already released the performance list. Xia Yu had looked up and listened to several of the competitors’ works and the situation seemed somewhat grim.

This was a global competition, and “new generation” didn’t mean high school students; all musicians under thirty were eligible. Their opponents were extremely strong.

“What are you talking about? This isn’t a competition, it’s a performance,” Liu Manman didn’t understand Xia Yu’s thinking.

Xia Yu knew it was a performance, and the organizers wouldn’t assign rankings. However, the audience would judge and rank in their hearts.

He wanted to use this event to further elevate An Siyao’s reputation and gain admiration from the entire school. To complete his mission, An Siyao needed to stand out and deliver an exceptional performance.

Their skills couldn’t improve quickly, so they had to focus on the pieces themselves.

Relying on the first two mainstream pieces was clearly insufficient. Now, they had to seek a breakthrough with the third piece.

“I also have an idea. Since none of us can convince the others right now, let’s each go back and think about it. We’ll continue tomorrow,” Xia Yu suggested.
