Sixth!
Nie Yan counted silently. Under his leadership, the Blood Devil Knight Guild had collapsed and its members scattered in retreat, while the players of the Bull Tribe chased after them furiously.
At that moment, Blood Devil reappeared from his ethereal state, but the situation on the battlefield was already beyond his control.
The Blood Devil Knight Guild had lost!
“All team members, retreat! Run as many as you can!” Blood Devil shouted in the team chat. He glanced at his status; his ethereal state had just ended, leaving him with ten seconds of weakness. Quickly, he consumed a Super Vitality Potion to remove the debuff.
“One on one, leave no one behind!” Nie Yan commanded decisively in the team chat.
“Understood!” the team members shouted in unison, their morale high and victory within sight. How could they not be excited?
“Leave Blood Devil to me!” Nie Yan locked his eyes on Blood Devil and charged toward him.
Several members of the Blood Devil Knight Guild used Random Teleport Scrolls and vanished from the battlefield.
“Trying to escape? Not a chance!” Bu Si Bu De Huaidan sneered coldly.
A group of mages cast their spells, pulling the escaping players back.
Upon returning to the battlefield, those players were stunned.
Two more players from the Blood Devil Knight Guild were knocked back. To prevent their escape, Bull Tribe players used War Shackles Scrolls.
“You take that mage, I’ll handle this Dark Elf Rogue!” Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai said to Bu Si Bu De Huaidan beside him, then charged forward.
Bu Si Bu De Huaidan was momentarily stunned. Normally, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai only handled healing and rarely engaged in player killing. Yet, upon reflection, some priest skills were indeed suitable for tracking down rogues. Typically, priests had low defenses and lacked strong PVP skills, making them preferred targets for rogues.
Working together, the group quickly gave chase.
“Hey kid, where do you think you’re running!” Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai cast an Illumination Spell, swiftly locking onto the Dark Elf Rogue’s position. He then cast a Marking Spell on him.
Once marked, the Dark Elf Rogue could be tracked wherever he ran.
Looking back, the Dark Elf Rogue saw only a priest pursuing him and sneered, “What? A priest dares to act so boldly! If I don’t show off my strength, you’ll really think I’m a weakling!”
To avoid being chased by other Bull Tribe players, he quickly activated a Dash Step and sprinted away.
However, even while using Dash Step, he remained marked, the glowing indicator accurately revealing his position.
Seeing the Dark Elf Rogue running away, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai cast an Enhanced Haste Spell on himself, a special skill he obtained from a quest that significantly increased his movement speed. He seemed to glide effortlessly, covering hundreds of yards in an instant, quickly closing the distance with the Dark Elf Rogue.
With a wave of his staff, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai cast several slowing debuffs on the Dark Elf Rogue, greatly reducing his movement speed. Immediately after, he cast Pain.
The Dark Elf Rogue’s health bar dropped by several points, each hit dealing around 500–600 damage. Though not massive individually, the cumulative effect was significant. As a result, the Dark Elf Rogue’s Dash Step failed.
Looking back and seeing no other Bull Tribe players, only a priest, the Dark Elf Rogue thought, “A priest dares to chase a rogue? He must be asking for it!”
Being chased was not sustainable, so he suddenly turned and charged at Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai.
Seeing the Dark Elf Rogue charge, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai smirked, “Perfect timing!”
As the Dark Elf Rogue advanced, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai started retreating while waving his staff.
The Dark Elf Rogue had barely taken a few steps when the solid ground beneath his feet suddenly turned into a muddy swamp, trapping his right foot.
Struggling to pull his right foot free, he prepared to move forward, only for his left foot to sink into another patch of mud.
Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai’s timing with the Mire Spell was impeccable, giving the Dark Elf Rogue no chance to evade.
Jump!
Instinctively, the Dark Elf Rogue used his Jump ability, lifting him about half a yard off the ground. But as he did, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai waved his hand and summoned a massive Slime. Ordinary slimes resembled small doughy blobs, about the size of a washbasin, with no limbs or facial features—akin to sea stars. They were considered the weakest of creatures, often ignored by even the most basic players. But Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai’s slime must have been a mutation. It was nearly elephant-sized, level 163, with pitifully low attack power in the hundreds, but its health was monstrous—over a million.
Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai had obtained this slime during a quest. Initially, his teammates wanted to discard it, but he noticed its abnormal potential. He saw that its health growth was astonishingly high, so he invested effort into leveling it up with the help of guild mages. By level 163, its health was absurdly high, although its attack growth was painfully low—only a few hundred at over 160 levels.
Just as the Dark Elf Rogue escaped the muddy area, he looked up and saw a massive black shadow descending upon him like a giant clump of mud falling from the sky.
“Oh my God!” The Dark Elf Rogue tried to use his escape skill, but before he could, the massive slime performed an unprecedented “Skyfall Slam,” its shape like an inverted wok, slamming the rogue hard into the mud.
The Dark Elf Rogue spat blood, his vision darkening. He struggled to push the slime off, but no matter how hard he tried, the slime remained immovable.
“Gurgle, gurgle,” the slime made strange noises as it squirmed, dealing tiny one-point damage to the Dark Elf Rogue.
“Get off me!” Crushed to the ground, the Dark Elf Rogue felt suffocated. He clawed at the mud, trying to escape, but the soft ground gave him no traction.
Unable to escape, the Dark Elf Rogue practically started crying. This was the most terrifying attack he had ever experienced since the game launched.
Seeing the Dark Elf Rogue pinned down and rolling his eyes in desperation, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai chuckled. His newly developed tactic worked surprisingly well. He waved his staff and fired several Light Arrows, finishing off the Dark Elf Rogue.
Approaching the slime, Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai patted it. A ripple spread across its surface as he said, “Good job, buddy.”
“Gurgle, gurgle,” the slime responded.
Da Biao Tou Da Ge Qi Zai recalled the slime into his pet space. This creature had become his secret weapon—extremely effective for ambushing, though rarely used in normal situations.
The Blood Devil Knight Guild suffered increasing casualties. The remaining members were chased chaotically by Bull Tribe’s top-tier players, with annihilation seemingly inevitable.
Realizing the battle was lost, Blood Devil used several speed-boosting skills and fled.
Nie Yan activated Dash Step and sprinted after Blood Devil.
Blood Devil had already been shackled by Nie Yan’s War Shackles Scroll. As long as Nie Yan didn’t die, Blood Devil couldn’t escape using a Random Teleport Scroll for now!
The two became like a rabbit and a cheetah on the open field, engaging in a high-speed chase.
At first, they were separated by about a hundred yards, but as time went on, Nie Yan gradually narrowed the distance. Even with Charge, Blood Demon couldn’t keep up with Nie Yan’s speed.
Looking back, Blood Devil realized Nie Yan was right behind him and panicked.
Nie Yan leaped forward, aiming for Blood Devil’s back.
Just as Nie Yan closed in, Blood Devil rolled away clumsily.
Running at full speed, Blood Devil couldn’t control his momentum, tumbling several times before using his right hand to push himself up and stand. Seeing Nie Yan approach, he roared, “Crazy Rogue Nie Yan, come on! Let’s settle this once and for all! Today, it’s either you die or I do!”
“Gladly,” Nie Yan coldly replied, his Zennarde’s Sword glowing fiercely as it unleashed black flames.
Blood Devil swung his greatsword wildly downward.
Nie Yan prepared to raise Zennarde’s Sword, but a powerful aura suddenly pressed down, immobilizing him. He could only block with his sword.
Clang, clang, clang—Blood Devil kept striking Nie Yan’s Zennarde’s Sword.
Nie Yan struggled to hold his ground, his feet sinking into the mud under the immense pressure. “What skill is this? So powerful!”
Blood Devil burned with crimson flames, resembling a true demon.
Nie Yan guessed this skill was somewhat similar to the War God’s Blessing used in the Radiant Blade’s Cui Can Dao Guang (Radiant Slash).
Nie Yan was locked by Blood Devil’s aura, unable to move, while damage numbers of 5,000–6,000 floated over his head. He quickly used an Expert Instant Healing Potion to restore his health.
As Blood Devil swung again, Nie Yan suddenly moved, splitting into two—his clone and his real body—both simultaneously attacking Blood Devil with their weapons.
Caught off guard, Blood Devil tried to evade.
Enhanced Intimidation!
A force locked onto Blood Devil, freezing his body. As he stood paralyzed, Nie Yan performed a Lunge, piercing Blood Devil’s heart with his Zennarde’s Sword.
