The following organizations, including Blue Wind Bell and Blood Demon, are all recruiting new members. Besides these well-known organizations, there are dozens of smaller groups scattered around, all seeking recruits as well.
Blue Wind Bell has only one requirement for recruitment: applicants must be members of Ox Tribe. Anyone outside of Ox Tribe is not considered. To join Blue Wind Bell, one must first become a member of Ox Tribe.
The recruitment criteria for Blood Demon are somewhat unique. They recruit only thieves. With about twenty members, Blood Demon allows any thief to join if they can defeat any one of them. Previously, Blood Demon had a confrontation with Nie Yan and nearly killed him. If joining Blue Wind Bell proves impossible, joining Blood Demon could still be a viable option.
Other dozens of organizations, big and small, also managed to recruit many members.
Just as they were busy, a tall warrior walked into the center of the arena. He was quite handsome, drawing the attention of many young girls.
“That’s Fang Rujie, the president of the student council.”
“He looks clean and fair-skinned, kind of cute!”
A few girls nearby, all dance majors, whispered among themselves.
So that was student council president Fang Rujie. Nie Yan couldn’t help but glance a few more times. He needed to recognize a few of the school’s key figures.
Upon hearing he was from the student council, Xie Yao frowned slightly. She wasn’t particularly fond of people from the student council.
“An 85th-level Great Swordsman, so powerful! He could rival members from Blue Wind Bell and Blood Demon. He must be the highest-level student in our school, right?”
“I don’t think so. There’s a student named Qin Han in our school who’s already level 87. However, Qin Han is a mage class. Their strengths should be about equal.”
“Look, that’s Qin Han.”
“Wow, even better looking than Fang Rujie.”
Hearing their conversation, Nie Yan turned his gaze toward the direction they pointed. In the distance, a figure clad in black mage robes was indeed Qin Han. Fang Rujie was talking with Qin Han respectfully. Nie Yan furrowed his brows slightly. Were these two working together?
It seemed they had reached some agreement. Fang Rujie began assigning personnel and organizing recruitment efforts.
Nie Yan asked Xu Yan about it. Fang Rujie and his group were recruiting under the name of Divine Slayer Sword. Divine Slayer Sword was a newly emerging guild recently, second only to Ox Tribe and Holy Roman Empire in strength, tied with Darklight Empire for third place.
Had Divine Slayer Sword already been acquired by Qin Han? But why hadn’t he heard anything about it?
Nie Yan only knew that the Mone Corporation had been making some arrangements in the Granland Empire, including taking over some shops previously operated by Century Corporation. He hadn’t heard that Mone had acquired Divine Slayer Sword. Besides acquiring Divine Slayer Sword, what else had Mone Corporation done?
Mone Corporation’s financial resources were not much weaker than Century Corporation’s. They were an economic oligarch in South America and could even influence a country’s politics. If they wanted to enter Faith, it would be no problem at all.
No wonder player numbers had surged recently in South America. It seemed that Mone Corporation had contributed significantly to promoting Faith in that region. The influx of South American players had somewhat affected the balance in Granland Empire. Faith had an automatic translation system, so although these South American players looked slightly different, they could communicate normally and integrate easily with other players. Even Ox Tribe had South American members. Nie Yan had always maintained a cautious attitude toward these South American players, trusting them while also closely monitoring their activities.
The news that Mone Corporation had taken control of Divine Slayer Sword weighed heavily on Nie Yan’s mind, giving him a sense of crisis. Their infiltration was truly hard to guard against. He needed to prepare in advance in case they suddenly turned hostile one day.
Nie Yan sent a message to Guo Huai, instructing him to start extensive tracking of Mone Corporation’s movements and to closely monitor Divine Slayer Sword guild activities.
As soon as news spread that Divine Slayer Sword was recruiting members, students from the First Military Academy responded enthusiastically. Throughout the Granland Empire, besides Ox Tribe and Holy Guardians, Divine Slayer Sword and Darklight Empire were the top choices. Those who felt they couldn’t make it into Ox Tribe were preparing to join Divine Slayer Sword. Those with strong abilities still aimed for Ox Tribe first, considering other guilds only if they failed to join Ox Tribe.
The recruitment scene below was quite lively. Among the freshmen at the First Military Academy, there were quite a few Ox Tribe members. Therefore, Blue Wind Bell recruited a significant number of new members.
“Sister Huasha, this year’s batch has so many people. At least fifteen or sixteen, right?” Invincible Badguy said excitedly. Their team had grown stronger. Now Blue Wind Bell could almost dominate the First Military Academy. Their strongest rival was Blood Demon. However, Invincible Badguy looked down on Blood Demon members. In one-on-one duels, Blood Demon members were useless. Those cowards always relied on outnumbering their opponents. What Invincible Badguy despised most was Blood Demon’s wolf-pack tactics, always winning by sheer numbers.
“Yeah, Desire and Essence are here too. They’re so young, such cute little boys.” Li Hua Sha said with a smile.
Invincible Badguy broke into a cold sweat. He could imagine Desire and Essence would get teased. He remembered his own painful experience.
As they were chatting, a tall figure approached their direction. The person looked like an iron tower, muscular but not bulky, radiating explosive power. He wore dark golden armor with a large skull emblem on the chest. The armor design was flamboyant, featuring flowing water-like patterns. On his back were two giant two-handed swords. He looked like a fierce steel beast, exuding heavy pressure.
Li Hua Sha, Invincible Badguy, and others immediately focused their attention on this person.
“It’s War God Leisu!”
“Damn, why is he here? I thought he usually doesn’t attend gatherings.”
The entire arena became restless, creating an even bigger commotion than when Fang Rujie and others had appeared.
War God Leisu was an almost mythical figure at the First Military Academy. Since major competitions hadn’t started yet, professional rankings hadn’t been determined. However, in the eyes of everyone at the First Military Academy, War God Leisu was an unbeatable existence.
Nie Yan’s gaze was inevitably drawn to the figure below. “Damn, that’s the sub-legendary set, Bruise’s Skeleton Battle Armor! Actually, a player managed to obtain this sub-legendary set!”
Hearing the players’ exclamations, Nie Yan’s heart trembled. War God Leisu was actually from the First Military Academy. This was big news!
