Meng Qi soared through the fragments of the Primordial Wilderness, his somersault cloud traversing vast expanses of land. Around him flowed an illusory river, exuding an indescribable profundity.
Relying on his characteristics of reaching the Other Shore and the Fruit of All Causes, he subtly manipulated fate, speeding through deadly perils like a tempest. Whether foes were dharma-body adversaries or savage beasts and fierce birds, all missed him entirely, as though he glided through the ocean’s depths without a single drop touching him.
Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced his brow, and a surge of intuition warned him of impending danger. Without hesitation, he opened his mud palace and summoned the dark, chaotic Tai Shang Wu Ji Yuan Shi Qing Yun (Supreme Primordial Auspicious Cloud of Non-Extremes).
As the auspicious clouds rose, Meng Qi witnessed a mass of demonic qi in the sky morph into an endless expanse of dark clouds, as though the heavens and the ink-black sea had inverted, with the sun and moon trading places.
At the center stood a towering black figure. Though only two zhang tall, the surrounding primal energies made him seem like a celestial deity ruling heaven and earth, or a luminous firefly in the night—so vivid, so dazzling.
Zhu Zisheng’s gaze was icy and fierce. His divine consciousness locked onto Meng Qi from afar. Opening his mouth, he spat out a crimson, spherical object.
The orb resembled fire, burning intensely. As it descended, it expanded rapidly, soon beyond any scale of several ten-thousand li. Towering mountains paled in comparison, like candlelight competing with the moon.
Its lower half filled the entire sky, countless red flames surging up and down. Meng Qi felt himself smaller than even a single flame, overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness and despair at his insignificance.
A true solar body descended from the heavens!
Even through the water screen, Qin Yue, He Qi, and others profoundly sensed the terrifying might of this crimson fire bead. It seemed as though they saw the Primordial Wilderness collapsing, melting, vaporizing, layers of flames undulating, smooth and round like a pearl, as though containing another world.
They were all dharma-bodies who had briefly traversed the starry sea. Except for the special and eerie suns of the “True Realm” and the Seven Seas and Twenty-Eight Worlds, other stellar suns they encountered were no different.
Even if smaller in size, its power was equally vast—a terrifying force that would scorch them merely by approaching. This was the might of a Celestial Immortal’s full-force strike, empowered by an entire world!
The bottom arc of the crimson fireball filled the entire water screen, darkness enveloping the surroundings, as though no light could escape. Time itself seemed to slow, leaving Qin Yue and the other dharma-bodies only to admire the fireball’s smooth, serene glow.
Never had there been a more magnificent sunset…
The stunning beauty was utterly overwhelming. For a moment, Qin Yue, He Qi, Yun He, and Yin Zu forgot that Meng Qi was their target, while the Night Emperor stared in rapture, as if beholding the pinnacle of magnificence.
A sunset up close—the means of a Celestial Immortal!
Suddenly, their vision darkened, unable to see anything within the water screen, as though shifting from sunset to a moonless, starless night.
What happened? The dharma-body experts quickly regained their senses. Inside the water screen, the Primordial Wilderness grew increasingly desolate and ruined. As far as the eye could see, the land sank a thousand zhang, magma forming a lake of fire, nothing else remaining.
Wait! Above the magma lake floated a figure in a green robe, the chaotic Qingyun vanished, his hair slightly singed, burn marks covering his body. Yet his aura had only slightly weakened, clearly having expended strength but suffered no serious injury.
At first glance, this seemed normal after a battle, but Qin Yue and the others’ thoughts churned, their minds stormy.
He had blocked a Celestial Immortal’s full-force strike, capable of destroying countless worlds, yet emerged unscathed!
He was merely a Human Immortal!
Even a Peak Earth Immortal would pay a price to block such an attack; a Human Immortal would surely perish instantly, like themselves. How could he still be alive?
Could it be a legendary golden body like the Tathagata’s or the Yuan Shi True Body?
Though familiar with Meng Qi, knowing his combat prowess always exceeded his realm, possessing legendary and Other Shore characteristics, his words becoming laws for all under heaven, making him an outstanding Earth Immortal, the impression left by Zhu Zisheng’s strike was too profound. Now witnessing this outcome, they were astonished, as though seeing Meng Qi anew.
No longer “Fierce Blade” Su Meng, but “Primordial Emperor” Su Meng—the Yuan of Yuan Shi Tian Zun.
After using the Wu Ji Seal to forcibly block Zhu Zisheng’s “Flame Spirit Pearl,” Meng Qi gathered wind and clouds beneath his feet, fleeing swiftly, soon ten thousand li away, planning to regroup with Master Da Lu and others.
Zhu Zisheng caught the returning “Flame Spirit Pearl” in his left hand, shook his body, transforming into a colossal black boar whose mouth opened to turn day into night, seemingly swallowing the entire world, including Meng Qi.
As darkness enveloped, Meng Qi seemed about to be sucked into the boar’s gaping maw, making Qin Yue and others, who had just calmed, clutch their hearts anew in worry.
They still hoped he would slay more “Imposters,” praying he wouldn’t fall prematurely to a Celestial Immortal!
Suddenly, a thin blade of knife-light flared, purple brilliance illuminating heaven and earth. The gale was severed, darkness split in two. Meng Qi rode the blade’s momentum, instantly escaping the boar’s maw.
Zhu Zisheng bellowed in rage, summoning a sky full of demonic energy as he relentlessly pursued Meng Qi. Occasionally, by leveraging the Golden Turtle Island’s slight control over the fragments of the Primordial Wilderness, he would appear directly beside Meng Qi. However, this time Meng Qi was prepared—he distorted directions, altered causality, and twisted fate, always keeping Zhu Zisheng just a step behind.
However, the Celestial Immortal’s resistance to fate manipulation and positional confusion was strong, gradually adapting, the chase growing increasingly perilous.
Qin Yue, He Qi, and the other dharma-bodies could barely divert their attention from the pursuit, some worried, some anxious, some secretly hoping Meng Qi would escape.
Only the Night Emperor and Tai Li had time to observe other water screens:
As time passed, the “Imposters” gradually converged into a singular entity, seemingly merging strengths. Once gone, they did not reappear, unlike before when Tai Li’s Imposter was slain by Gao Lan, only to reappear and whisk away Tai Xuan Tianzi.
Su Ming encountered this Imposter Tai Li. Five-colored radiant lights swept down, instantly engulfing Su Ming. The Night Emperor frowned slightly, secretly awed by the Five-Color Divine Light’s might, while Tai Li smirked, revealing a mocking smile. As his smile appeared, countless Su Mings emerged around the fake Tai Li—eliminate one, and a thousand more appear! Su Ming was everywhere, sword-light attacking unexpectedly, indiscriminate sword beams consuming the fake Tai Li.
The Night Emperor’s gaze froze, his expression rarely shaken, murmuring softly, “Everywhere… truly everywhere!”
This was the realm he had longed for, tirelessly pursued without success, yet the opponent achieved it seemingly effortlessly!
The Primordial Immortaless was surrounded by fake Immortal Old Man, fake Su Ming, and fake Master Da Lu. Yet her Measuring Heaven Divine Palm transcended distance, the Golden Dragon Shears’ cutting edge unmatched, and the “Primordial Eight Blows” eroded opponents’ powers and skills. The fake Su Ming and Master Da Lu, lacking legendary characteristics, still fought her to a standstill.
Master Da Lu faced off against fake Primordial Immortaless and fake Red Emperor, his sword-light expanding, holding his own against two foes, subtly manipulating matter, gaining the upper hand, soon to secure victory.
On other water screens scattered across, the results gradually unfolded. The Red Emperor was assaulted by the Celestial Immortal Yin Bu’er and compelled to retreat. The “True Immortal Elder” suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of Han Guang, unable to endure any longer, and withdrew to the Green Swimming Palace. The dharma-bodies of the Human Immortals, besieged by swarms of savage beasts, struggled to hold their ground—with the sole exception of Meng Qi. The Imposters, too, endured severe casualties.
At this point, only the Primordial Immortaless, Seven Seas Immortal Lord, and Tai Xuan Tianzi remained in the Seven Seas and Twenty-Eight Worlds. In the True Realm remained Master Da Lu, Su Ming, Gao Lan, Meng Qi, Guleiduo, Han Guang, and Zhu Wu, with more Imposters.
More and more dharma-bodies began watching through the water screens, keeping Yin Weiyang too busy to threaten anyone with forced medication.
Through Meng Qi’s feedback of the Fruit of All Causes, Su Ming could already sense Master Da Lu. Yet at that moment, fake Han Guang, fake Guleiduo, and fake Yun He appeared, intercepting him.
Similarly, Gao Lan encountered fake Seven Seas Immortal Lord, fake Tai Xuan Tianzi, fake Chaos Golden Immortal, and fake He Qi nearby, temporarily unable to advance.
Meanwhile, pursued by Zhu Zisheng, Meng Qi also arrived nearby.
Qin Yue, Immortal Old Man, and other dharma-bodies grew grave. How could he lead a Celestial Immortal envoy here?
Just as Master Lu was about to overcome two mighty foes and come to others’ aid, slaying remaining Imposters, how could a Celestial Immortal appear?
Their thoughts barely formed when another figure appeared—another Celestial Immortal, Yin Bu’er!
What to do? With two Celestial Immortals gathered here, aiming to eliminate the pillars resisting the Imposters in one sweep!
Seeing Yin Bu’er appear ahead, Zhu Zisheng couldn’t help but smirk sinisterly, eyes fixed on Meng Qi, mocking inwardly, “Run! Keep running! Let’s see how far you can flee to the ends of the earth!”
With Master Da Lu, Su Ming, and Gao Lan entangled, and the surroundings sealed by two Celestial Immortals, the situation turned extremely perilous, nearly hopeless.
Immortal Old Man, Qin Yue, and other dharma-bodies felt their hearts sink, their bodies chilling.
Just then, darkness enveloped the heavens and earth, up and down lost, left and right confused.
As the vision cleared, the positions of all the powerhouses had shifted. Zhu Zisheng, Yin Bu’er, and the fake Primordial Immortaless now stood at the center, while Meng Qi, Master Da Lu, Su Ming, and Gao Lan each occupied a corner.
Meng Qi revealed his Immortal Primordial True Body, a five-colored radiant immortal sword appearing in his hand.
Expressionless, he shook the sword, five-colored sword-light shooting forth, turning surroundings black and white, slowing everything.
Meanwhile, Su Ming’s green robe fluttered, his body hollow, the Supreme Dao Body manifesting mysteriously high above. He swung his sword downward, reality overlapping, indistinguishable from time itself, restricting and shattering all.
Gao Lan revealed his Emperor Body, sun, moon, and stars circling him, demons, monsters, immortals, and deities bowing. The Human Emperor Sword unleashed mighty royal light.
Before Qin Yue and others could react, a delicate voice blurted out from behind, tinged with urgency:
“The Zhuxian Sword Formation!”
