As soon as his thoughts stirred, Meng Qi felt his body grow heavy, as if the weight of heaven and earth had pressed upon him, causing ripples in the Tai Shang Wu Ji Yuan Shi Qing Yun (Supreme Primordial Auspicious Cloud of the Limitless Ultimate).
Sensing the source, he saw an ancient imperial seal descending from high above. It expanded rapidly as it fell, soon filling the sky. Its ancient patterns did not connect to myriad worlds, thus preventing the summoning of cosmic forces, yet it exerted such crushing pressure that the realm isolated by the Bottle Divine Envoy through the “Wu Sheng Tian” (Unborn Heaven) and “Zhen Kong Jia Xiang” (Vacant Hometown) projections began to collapse rapidly.
Confronting this ancient seal of ashen hue, Meng Qi felt as if he were witnessing half of the Real World plummeting from the heavens. Its weight defied all reason, its oppressive force transcended the boundaries of illusion and reality, wielding the power to truly overturn heaven and earth—to upheave the myriad Heavens and crush the Nine Netherworlds!
Fan Tian Yin (Reversing Heaven Seal)!
The three words naturally surfaced in Meng Qi’s mind—Gu Cheng Tian Zun’s Fan Tian Yin!
During the Feng Shen War, this seal had displayed great might despite not being a supreme treasure.
Pa!
The Fan Tian Yin struck down, bringing with it a shattered world, crashing onto the dark vortex glowing faintly with clarity.
Peng!
The ancient patterns of the Fan Tian Yin radiated outward, encircling its core, which exuded the desolate aura of a bygone era, appearing semi-transparent. Inside seemed to swirl countless fragments, each resembling a piece of the Real World’s landmass, smashing the half-emerged hand back into dust, fracturing the vortex, shattering the clear glow, leaving no mighty aura to emerge ever again!
“The Fan Tian Yin is crafted from numerous fragments of the Real World from the last era of the Primordial Age, including parts of the pillars supporting the sky. When the era collapsed, Yuanshi Tianzun specially collected them and bestowed them upon Guang Cheng Tianzun. Due to the extreme difficulty of refining it, it could never become a true treasure, relying solely on its weight and unique properties to injure enemies. Yet even this alone rivals most supreme treasures,” Gu Xiaosang’s explanation echoed in Meng Qi’s ears, her tone light and slightly amused, showing no sign of panic. She seemed to fully understand Luo Jiao’s arrangements, had complete confidence in Meng Qi, and had anticipated many of the developments.
So the Fan Tian Yin wasn’t a supreme treasure because its material was too powerful for Guang Cheng Tianzun to fully refine.
Fragments of the Real World from the previous era…
Meng Qi suddenly understood and abandoned his plan to fully activate the Wu Ji Seal without restraint, as well as his idea to recall the Ding Hai Zhu (Pillar of the Sea) to block Luo Jiao’s Divine Envoy.
Had Guang Cheng Tianzun awakened?
Xiaosang chose this moment of “Legend” for her revival—she clearly had her reasons…
After shattering the vortex and dispersing the clear glow, the Fan Tian Yin flew upward, then swiftly descended again, targeting the Four Divine Envoys—Feng Dian, Zhang Deng, Bao Ping, and Juan Lian—without hesitation or mercy.
Seeing the Fan Tian Yin approaching with deadly intent, determined to crush them into pulp, Feng Dian blurted out:
“Guang Chengzi, you dare to go for the kill!”
“You’re bullying the weak!”
Their Divine Envoy only sought to capture Su Meng, with no intention of killing, showing great restraint. Yet Guang Chengzi acted as if he wouldn’t stop until all four were smashed to death!
The Fan Tian Yin paused slightly, emitting a mocking yet resolute voice from above:
“After the Feng Shen War, who in the Ten Thousand Worlds doesn’t know that our Yu Xu Palace is renowned for favoritism, vengeance, and bullying the weak!”
This… Meng Qi was momentarily speechless.
As the voice spoke, the Fan Tian Yin crashed downward, its killing intent unshaken!
The Youzi Lamp glowed again, the Bottle poured forth, the Staff danced, and the White Lotus formed a realm. The Four Divine Envoys employed every means at their disposal, yet the descending Fan Tian Yin crushed them all effortlessly, unstoppable in its might!
The might of a Tianzun was evident!
Just as Sha Wujing was being crushed, barely able to move, watching the Fan Tian Yin approach, a golden staff suddenly emerged from the void, striking the seal’s side and halting it momentarily.
In that brief moment, a giant golden hand reached out, grabbed Sha Wujing, and pulled him out of the Fan Tian Yin’s range.
“Senior Brother!” Sha Wujing’s voice of joy echoed, his figure vanishing without a trace.
Taking advantage of the moment, the three remaining Divine Envoys—Zhang Deng and others—fled from the isolated realm.
Meng Qi, stunned by Guang Cheng Tianzun’s words and unwilling to provoke Wu Sheng La Mu further, made no move to stop them.
…
The Brocade Landscape Scroll descended, leaving Gao Lan and the Feng Tian Platform completely unassailable. To seize or destroy this altar, one must break the scroll.
Breaking the scroll equated to directly confronting the core of the Real World, challenging the territory of twenty-seven provinces. Regardless of whether Legendary or Cultivation experts could completely shatter this foundation, the terrifying backlash alone would deter even the mightiest experts from rash actions.
More importantly, such actions might trigger a chain reaction, potentially bringing about the “End of the Era” that hadn’t occurred during the fall of the Celestial Court, leaving no one a second chance.
As these thoughts crossed his mind, Peng Mo Wang coldly regarded Gao Lan, proudly standing atop the Feng Tian Platform, draped in the geography of the Zhou Dynasty’s mountains and rivers, and snorted:
“This is your last hope?”
“The Brocade Landscape Scroll isn’t invincible. Simply occupy one province, dispel its rule, and the corresponding landscape will vanish. When you’re reduced to Chang Le alone, you’ll have no support left!”
He spread his wings, turned to the hidden Great Demon Kings, and commanded solemnly:
“Return to your clans, gather strong hands, raise the banner against the Zhou Dynasty, and establish the Demon Clan’s Celestial Court!”
The Brocade Landscape Scroll of the Feng Tian Platform relied on the Emperor’s authority, corresponding to the provinces. Once a province no longer belonged to the Zhou Dynasty, resonance would be lost. If only Chang Le remained, the Brocade Landscape Scroll would be easily broken!
Maitreya retrieved his palm and the “Human Seed Bag,” smiling cheerfully:
“Master Gao, the Buddhist Pure Land shall also appear on earth.”
As his words faded, he, along with the Great Bodhisattvas Fa Hua Lin and Da Miao Xiang, vanished, preparing for the imminent rise of the White Lotus Buddhist Pure Land!
In this moment, Shao Xuan and Xi E seemed to witness the Zhou Dynasty engulfed in flames and smoke rising everywhere.
Stepping beyond the Feng Tian Platform’s range, the two could only hold off two or three Demon Kings or opponents like Fa Hua Lin and Da Miao Xiang. How could they possibly stop adversaries of Maitreya or Peng Mo Wang’s caliber?
…
The power from “Wu Sheng Tian” and “Zhen Kong Jia Xiang” vanished, restoring Kunlun Mountain’s cold silence. Da Qing Gen, trembling with fear, gazed upward at the ancient seal and wept with joy:
“Master Guang Cheng, I’ve finally awaited your return!”
His emotions seemed genuine, showing no sign of pretense.
Meng Qi looked up at the infinite heights, then vanished in a flash, arriving instantly at the true Yu Xu Palace gates, where stood rows of ancient wells.
Passing through darkness and countless halls, he reached Yu Qing Palace. Before entering, he saw the vermilion and yellow gates open, and the Fan Tian Yin flew inside.
Straightening his robes, Meng Qi stepped into the hall. Before him were rows of meditation cushions. Seated at the front-left was a Daoist with a pale golden complexion and a long beard parted into five strands. His hair and beard were entirely black, giving him the appearance of a middle-aged man, yet he radiated an immortal aura, holding the Heaven-Overturning Seal in his hands.
Meng Qi bowed respectfully:
“Greetings, Tianzun.”
Earlier, while adjusting his clothes, he had pondered how to address Guang Chengzi. What generation disciple of Yu Xu was he?
Considering the root of all fruits, he was Yuanshi Tianzun’s direct disciple, thus a second-generation disciple. Yet he addressed Xiao Bai, Jiang Ziya’s descendant, as “Junior Master,” while Yang Jian, the Qing Yuan Miao Dao Zhen Jun, called him “Senior Brother,” making his position difficult to determine.
At this moment, Gu Xiaosang seemed to be hiding and offered no advice.
After careful consideration, Meng Qi decided to use the non-generational title “Tianzun.”
Guang Chengzi was indeed a genuine Daoist Tianzun, a rare appellation!
Even though reaching Cultivation granted eligibility for the title of Tianzun, with Yuanshi, Daode, and Lingbao above, how dare ordinary Cultivation experts claim it?
Only those outstanding among Cultivation experts, with great potential and a certain chance of reaching the Other Shore, could truly be considered Daoist Tianzuns.
Guang Chengzi was one of them!
Guang Chengzi seemed momentarily unsure how to classify Meng Qi’s generation, thus saying nothing, pointing silently to a meditation cushion and smiling slightly:
“Sit.”
Meng Qi walked over, sat cross-legged, and smiled:
“Unexpectedly, Tianzun awakened so quickly.”
“I had prepared before falling asleep, and only sent forth a fragment of my power through the Fan Tian Yin to descend. This isn’t truly my main body yet,” Guang Chengzi replied gently, then added:
“Wu Sheng La Mu has some connection with our Yu Xu lineage. She is a major figure of the Other Shore. Unless absolutely necessary, better not to sever ties completely.”
Meng Qi listened, stunned. Who was the one earlier unleashing deadly intent?
Seeing Meng Qi’s shock, Guang Chengzi chuckled:
“With the return of the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, who would dare harm Juan Lian Divine Envoy without fear of rescue?”
“In this way, we demonstrate our Yu Xu lineage’s favoritism and ‘shamelessness,’ deterring others from targeting us, while not truly severing ties with Wu Sheng La Mu. It’s a win-win.”
Damn, Guang Chengzi is so cunning… And he said “shamelessness” so proudly—I can’t match him! Meng Qi thought, stunned.
Before he could speak, Guang Chengzi glanced outside, his expression shifting slightly, sighing:
“After surviving countless calamities, I wonder how many of my fellow disciples remain…”
Meng Qi followed his gaze outside, thoughts racing:
How many of those summoned by the bell would arrive?
