The black wolf carried the crumpled little pig home in his arms.
Seeing her sleeping so soundly made him extremely displeased, so he unceremoniously dropped her onto the carpet.
Yao Zuizui groggily woke up, mumbling about how the carpet wasn’t as comfortable as before. When she met the wolf’s aggressive gaze, her drowsiness instantly vanished.
“W-Wolf King, good evening~ The moon is so beautiful tonight,” Yao Zuizui said with a nervous laugh, trying to ease the awkward tension.
The black wolf stared at her. This little pig was full of nonsense. She had been asleep the whole time—how could she have seen the moon?
As the wolf’s expression darkened, Yao Zuizui quickly changed the subject: “Your Majesty, you must be hungry! Let me make you a midnight snack!”
She scampered off on her short little legs and, guided by her pig instincts, successfully found the kitchen.
The wolf’s house wasn’t particularly big—just two floors.
The kitchen wasn’t large either—only about twice the size of Zhu Yiyi’s.
“Who knows how many poor animals he’s exploited to afford this!” Yao Zuizui muttered as she opened the fridge.
Inside, there was nothing but a lonely banana and a half-eaten flatbread.
The banana peel was slightly blackened—probably snatched from some poor monkey.
The flatbread had a bite taken out of it, likely discarded because the wolf found it unappetizing.
After reciting a spell to transform into her pig-girl form, Yao Zuizui rolled up her sleeves and got to work!
She peeled the banana, placed it on the flatbread, and skillfully split the bread into two thinner layers.
She rolled the banana inside the bread, sliced it into even pieces, and popped them into the oven.
Five minutes later, the rich, sweet aroma of banana filled the kitchen, making Yao Zuizui’s nose twitch as she inhaled deeply.
How delicious!
And yet, she had to hand it all over to someone else…
After sneakily eating one piece, she reverted to her pig form and carried the plate to the living room, walking upright like a human.
There, a tall, handsome man in a black suit and tie sat on the sofa, reading a newspaper with utmost seriousness.
If not for the large, fluffy black tail behind him, Yao Zuizui might have blurted out, “Hey, handsome, who are you?”
Hearing the noise, the black wolf turned his gaze toward her—specifically, the plate in her hands.
The golden, bite-sized banana pastries glistened with oil, steaming enticingly. They looked, sounded, and smelled irresistible.
The carnivorous wolf frowned. “What is this? Bring it here.”
Yao Zuizui cautiously approached and handed him the plate and fork.
The wolf picked up the fork with visible reluctance, speared a pastry, and took a bite.
He swallowed without a word, then took another…
Before long, the entire plate was empty. Yao Zuizui watched longingly, but the wolf didn’t spare her a single glance.
After finishing, he tossed the fork aside. “Mediocre. Too sweet if eaten in excess. Go wash the dishes.”
Grumbling, Yao Zuizui picked up the fork from the floor. *If it’s too sweet, why not leave some for me? Why eat it all if you don’t even like it?*
The wolf returned to his newspaper and casually added, “Tomorrow, you’re coming hunting with me.”
“Me?” Yao Zuizui shook her head frantically. “Your Majesty, I have no combat skills, and I’m slow! I’ll just hold you back!”
The wolf cut her off. “You’re coming. One more word, and I’ll eat you right now.”
“……” Fine! What else could a trembling little pig do?
The next day, Yao Zuizui obediently followed the wolf on his hunt.
Following the fairytale script, today’s target was Zhu Erer.
Sure enough, after winding through the forest, the wolf stopped in front of a house made of broom flowers and called out, “Little pig, little pig, let me in!”
“No, no, I won’t let you in!” Zhu Erer’s voice trembled with fear.
“Then I’ll huff and puff and blow your house down!” The wolf growled before unleashing a gust of wind powerful enough to rival a tornado.
He blew and blew until the house collapsed, revealing Zhu Erer inside.
As the wolf lunged, Zhu Erer suddenly cried, “Don’t eat me! I’m too small! Fatten me up first!”
Yao Zuizui froze. *So, Zhu Erer knows what happened last night? That’s the exact same line I used!*
Zhu Erer was indeed small—even smaller than Zhu Yiyi.
After a brief inspection, the wolf swatted her toward Yao Zuizui with one paw.
*One pig or two, what’s the difference?*
He’d once heard a hunter say raising pigs could make you rich.
Now, two little pigs trotted behind him on their short legs.
Zhu Erer’s thick skin barely registered the thorns scratching her, leaving only faint white marks as she ran determinedly.
Yao Zuizui, however, lagged behind, stopping frequently.
Though the thorns didn’t draw blood, she whined about the pain, her legs aching too much to move.
The wolf stomped over, flattening the undergrowth. “Why are you dawdling again? Look at your sister—she’s far more obedient!”
Yao Zuizui glanced at Zhu Erer, who was charging ahead without a care.
She wiggled her stubby legs. “Your Majesty, carry me home! I’ll make you something delicious in return!”
“No. Walk.” The wolf nudged her soft belly with his foot. *Tempting…*
Did this pig really expect the mighty Wolf King to be her personal transport?
Yao Zuizui clung to his leg. “Wolf King! You’re majestic, awe-inspiring—”
“No. Walk.” He kicked her away.
Compliments meant nothing from a pig.
“If I walk too much, I’ll get muscular! Tough meat is hard to chew!” She wrapped herself around his ankle, refusing to budge.
The wolf sighed, studying her tightly shut eyes.
How did this pig always come up with such convincing nonsense? He *did* prefer tender meat over tough cuts.
If she was destined for his stomach, pampering her might improve the flavor.
Resigned, the wolf scooped her up, shielding her from the wind.
Yao Zuizui dozed off contentedly.
*Suhei’s fur is amazing—even cozier than my celestial bed!*
Unaware, she nuzzled against him repeatedly in her sleep.
She missed the way his jaw twitched and his body stiffened.
Though he planned to eat her, the wolf didn’t mistreat her.
He’d given her a small room with a wooden bed, a sofa, a wardrobe, and even a bookshelf—far better than her previous living conditions.
When Yao Zuizui woke, Zhu Erer sat by her bed, flipping through a book.
“Sis, you slept forever!” Zhu Erer pouted, setting the book aside.
Yao Zuizui stretched lazily. “Eating and sleeping is what pigs do. That’s our purpose in life!”
“…Sis, you need to cook!” Zhu Erer yanked her up and dragged her out.
Back home, Zhu Yiyi always handled meals while Zhu Erer and Zhu Sansan played under their mother’s watch. Now, Zhu Erer expected the same.
“Fine, fine.” Half-asleep, Yao Zuizui let herself be shoved into the kitchen.
“Sis, wouldn’t it be great if we could just be the Wolf King’s servants and *not* get eaten?” Zhu Erer marveled at the fridge’s overflowing bounty.
Earlier, the wolf had simply announced, “We need food!”
Instantly, animals from across the forest lined up to empty their pantries for him.
Clueless about ingredients, the wolf left the selection to Zhu Erer, who relished her newfound authority. *If only Zhu Yiyi were awake to see this!*
Back home, such luxuries were rare—yet here, she could even reject subpar produce. A dream come true!
Yao Zuizui shattered her fantasy. “Keep dreaming. We’ll never be servants. Soon, we’ll be plump enough to eat—bones and all.”
Zhu Erer shuddered. *No. There has to be a way out!*
“Sis, what are you making?” Zhu Erer craned her neck from her stool.
“Food. Obviously.”
“I know,” Zhu Erer swallowed. “But what *kind*? It smells amazing!”
“Bridge tofu, pumpkin flower buns, potato balls, milk pudding.” Yao Zuizui worked swiftly, her hands a blur.
“Wow! That all sounds delicious!” Zhu Erer clapped enthusiastically.
Yao Zuizui didn’t look up. “Flattery won’t get you a sneak taste. Give it up.”
“Sis… I-I wasn’t going to steal any!” Zhu Erer straightened, eyes wide. “I…”
“Spit it out. I’m busy.” Cooking required focus—interruptions ruined the magic.
“Sis… Could you… tell the Wolf King *I* made all this?” Zhu Erer mumbled, embarrassed.
