Chapter 360: A Date with Feng Zihuang

As the time agreed upon in Feng Zihuang’s letter drew nearer, Yun Qingxue’s heart grew increasingly restless.

In the end, her desire to see Feng Zihuang overwhelmed everything else.

Without informing anyone, she leaped out of her window and headed straight for the waterfall outside Luoyun Mountain.

The night was hazy, the moonlight shimmering. The sound of the waterfall grew louder as she approached.

From afar, Yun Qingxue spotted the figure of a man in red standing beneath the waterfall.

His hair fluttered gently in the night breeze, his sharp brows and star-like eyes striking under the moonlight.

“Flower King!” Seeing her approach, Feng Zihuang immediately smiled and stepped forward to greet her.

Yun Qingxue’s heart raced uncontrollably again, and she could only suppress the strange emotions surging within her as she asked,

“May I ask why the Phoenix King has summoned me here so late at night?”

Feng Zihuang chuckled. “Last time, the Flower King was unwell and left in haste without resting longer in my clan. I’ve been deeply concerned—have you recovered?”

“Thank you for your concern, I’m fine now,” Yun Qingxue replied, feigning calmness.

“Heh! Addressing each other as ‘Phoenix King’ and ‘Flower King’ seems too formal.

If the Flower King doesn’t mind, I’ll call you Qingxue, and you can call me Zihuang. How does that sound?” Feng Zihuang gazed at her, his phoenix-like eyes glimmering with warmth.

Yun Qingxue’s face flushed instantly. She lowered her head slightly, trying to hide her overwhelming shyness.

Facing Feng Zihuang now, she suddenly realized—all the reactions she’d had when thinking of him before, all the dissatisfaction she’d felt when her master and Jin Lin spoke critically of him—it was all because, at some point, she had unknowingly fallen for him!

She couldn’t understand how she had suddenly developed feelings for someone she’d had little interaction with before, someone she had even been wary of…

She could only attribute it to the suddenness of love.

She couldn’t resist this unexpected affection, because she found that whenever she encountered Feng Zihuang, her heart no longer obeyed her control…

“Alright!” she heard herself respond softly, her voice as tender as that of any girl deeply in love.

“Then we’re friends now…” Feng Zihuang laughed happily, like a child who had just been given candy.

“Mmm.” Yun Qingxue murmured in agreement.

“Qingxue!” he called her.

“Mmm.” she answered shyly.

“Qingxue!”

“Mmm.”

“Qingxue!”

“Feng Zihuang…” Yun Qingxue helplessly lifted her head, meeting his shimmering gaze, only for her face to redden again. Nervously, she said, “It’s too late… I… I should go back!”

“Alright.” Feng Zihuang looked at her with an almost doting smile. “Rest well.”

“Mmm.” Yun Qingxue responded cheerfully, but as she turned to leave, Feng Zihuang asked, “Tomorrow… can I see you again?”

“Yes!” The words escaped her lips before she could think. Even before parting, she was already looking forward to their next meeting.

Watching her retreating figure, Feng Zihuang’s lips curled into a meaningful smile.

Yun Qingxue returned to Luoyun Mountain with a fluttering heart. Just the thought of her encounter with Feng Zihuang made her pulse quicken uncontrollably…

The night gradually faded.

The morning air on Luoyun Mountain was exceptionally fresh. Early on, the distant sounds of clashing and fighting could be heard.

Without a doubt, the 128 newly recruited junior disciples—each with their own peculiar appearances—were eagerly seeking guidance from their master again… Yun Qingxue smiled faintly.

The antidote for the Lockfrost Poison in her body required a complex and tedious refining process, which would take some time.

Until the antidote was ready, she couldn’t practice any spells, lest the poison spread faster.

With nothing else to do, and recalling how everyone had worked tirelessly to find the antidote for her, Yun Qingxue decided to gather Daise, Liuli, and A’dai, along with the spirit from her spatial bracelet, to make cakes together.

After nearly a morning’s work, they had prepared a variety of pastries. They left some for A’dai, Liuli, and Daise to enjoy indoors, while Yun Qingxue specifically set aside a strawberry-flavored one in her storage bracelet…

“Master?” Daise noticed her setting aside a cake and looked puzzled.

“This… is for me…” Yun Qingxue’s face reddened slightly.

Daise didn’t question it further, and the two of them each carried a cake out of the room.

The sounds of clashing outside continued without pause.

When Yun Qingxue and Daise arrived with the cakes, they saw Yun Ye, the Demon King, along with Jin Lin and Mo Changxing, leisurely sitting on a tree a short distance from the training grounds, munching on melon seeds while watching Zi Qu Shengjun instruct the 128 new disciples.

At this moment, Zi Qu Shengjun was on the verge of a breakdown…

Truly, having too many disciples was a nightmare! Damn it! Day after day, these newly recruited brats woke up earlier than roosters and immediately came banging on his door for guidance…

That alone was bad enough—but who could explain why they also refused to let him rest at night?!

Every night, unless he set up a soundproof barrier outside his room, there was no hope of peaceful sleep!

To the east of his quarters, Tom and Jerry would stage their chaotic cat-and-mouse chase at midnight. Not far to the west, the fox demon and chicken demon would start bickering endlessly whenever they crossed paths…

A little further away, the monkey demon Wukong and the pig demon Bajie were constantly at each other’s throats, fighting nonstop…

With a merciless sweep, Zi Qu Shengjun knocked down yet another little demon seeking guidance, then cast a resentful glance at the three heartless spectators snacking on melon seeds…

Don’t ask why he didn’t enlist their help—

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to. But ever since Jin Lin and Mo Changxing had last stepped in, their joint lightning attacks had thoroughly traumatized the little demons.

The mere sight of those two sent the little demons scrambling in the opposite direction. Forget about asking them for guidance—they’d rather avoid Jin Lin and Mo Changxing altogether!

Honestly…

He was seriously considering zapping the entire group of troublemakers with lightning just once. Surely that would bring him some peace…

“You three!!!”

Just as Zi Qu Shengjun was lost in thought, he caught sight of Yun Ye and the others and finally snapped. With a furious roar, he lunged toward them…

Yun Ye, Mo Changxing, and Jin Lin were currently enjoying the cakes Yun Qingxue and Daise had brought.

Yun Ye had taken the entire cake from Yun Qingxue for himself, while Mo Changxing and Jin Lin split the other one from Daise.

“You—” This was too much! No camaraderie, no respect for their master—ahhhh!

Zi Qu Shengjun charged over in a rage. Knowing they were no match for their master, Mo Changxing and Jin Lin grabbed their half-eaten cakes and bolted without hesitation…
