Chapter 327: The Forgotten Treasure

After returning to her room, the first thing Yun Qingxue did was to release Huanling from her storage bracelet.

From the moment she had been speaking with Tom, she had already sensed Huanling trying to communicate with her from within the bracelet.

“Master, look what this is!”

As soon as Huanling was released, she immediately placed a pouch-sized storage bag in front of Yun Qingxue.

Yun Qingxue picked up the storage bag and glanced at it, suddenly recalling that she had taken it from Yun Sisi in a moment of panic when the latter had pushed her into the Endless Abyss using an illusion in the Yunhuang Mirage.

Later, due to various events, she had kept the storage bag inside her bracelet, gradually forgetting she even possessed such an item.

“Is there a problem?” she asked Huanling while holding the bag. “Did you contact me earlier because of this?”

“Of course there’s a problem! A huge one!” Huanling nodded seriously. “I only noticed today that there was another bag inside your storage space! Do you know what’s inside?”

“No,” Yun Qingxue shook her head honestly.

Huanling stared at her in disbelief. “You don’t know there are so many treasures inside this bag?!”

“Mm,” Yun Qingxue nodded. “I got this bag from someone else by accident and never opened it.”

“Alright,” Huanling sighed, then continued, “I just discovered this storage bag and sensed the aura of treasures from the Yunhuang Mirage inside—more than one, in fact. But my magic isn’t strong enough to erase the original owner’s seal and open it.”

“So you want me to open it?” Without hesitation, Yun Qingxue channeled her magic into the bag.

Since Yun Sisi was now her sworn enemy, anything taken from her could be considered spoils of war. If Huanling wanted to see inside, she would open it. If there were treasures, she could share them with A’dai and the others.

Effortlessly, Yun Qingxue shattered the seal Yun Sisi had placed on the bag. Once the seal was broken, she crouched down and shook the bag upside down.

A series of small clattering sounds followed as over thirty items spilled onto the floor, instantly returning to their original sizes.

A pale pink scented fan, over a dozen dazzling gemstones, three or four pastel-colored garments, two bolts of light blue silk, a jeweled dagger, a gleaming ice sword, two or three translucent white hexagonal throwing darts, and various hairpins and jewelry—all appeared before Yun Qingxue and Huanling.

Huanling stepped forward and picked up two of the most unremarkable stones from the pile.

Holding them, she burst into laughter. “After searching far and wide, we’ve found them without any effort at all! Haha! Master, do you realize? I thought the Yunhuang Mirage was closed, making your Sunstone useless—but who knew the complementary Moonlight Gem and Starlight Gem were right here with you!

“With these three combined to aid your cultivation, your progress will skyrocket!”

With that, she handed the two gems to Yun Qingxue.

Yun Qingxue accepted them, her expression dimming slightly. She knew that, given her current condition, even the best external aids wouldn’t help.

Still, these gems weren’t entirely useless—at least A’dai and the others could benefit from them in their training.

“Huanling, you’re the best at appraising treasures. See if there’s anything else valuable here,” Yun Qingxue said, glancing at the pile at her feet.

She knew Yun Sisi’s status well—someone of her standing wouldn’t carry anything shabby.

Sure enough, Huanling immediately replied, “Of course! And not just one good thing!”

She bent down and separated the fan, darts, ice sword, dagger, two bolts of silk, and a few gemstones from the rest.

“Master, these are all excellent. The rest, while still treasures, aren’t particularly rare. Besides, they’ve clearly been used before!” Huanling wrinkled her nose in disdain.

Her master shouldn’t have to take someone else’s hand-me-downs!

“All picked out?” Yun Qingxue asked.

Huanling nodded, and Yun Qingxue stored the selected items in her bracelet. Then, with a flick of her finger, a small flame shot out, instantly reducing the remaining pile—along with Yun Sisi’s storage bag—to ashes.

After chatting with Yun Qingxue for a while longer, Huanling returned to the bracelet’s space.

Perhaps exhausted from helping her master recruit disciples earlier in the day, Yun Qingxue fell asleep shortly after lying down.

In her drowsy state, she kept seeing Feng Zihuang’s breathtakingly handsome face, flickering before her eyes.

His image was so vivid, as if carved into her heart. Every smile and frown made her heartbeat quicken and her face flush.

Yun Qingxue didn’t understand what was happening to her. She knew she should keep her distance from Feng Zihuang—yet she couldn’t stop thinking about him.

She had memorized his every expression with such clarity.

Had she fallen for Feng Zihuang?

The word “like” surfaced in her mind, startling her awake.

By then, dawn had broken, and the sounds of chatter drifted in from outside.

She got up and opened the door, where Daise immediately greeted her.

“Did the noise wake you, Master? I’ll go reprimand those little spirits and tell them to quiet down!”

“It’s fine,” Yun Qingxue waved her off.

Her thoughts lingered on Feng Zihuang’s face haunting her dreams and the word “like” that had jolted her awake, stirring an inexplicable restlessness in her heart.

She couldn’t fathom why she had developed feelings for Feng Zihuang out of nowhere.

Yet every time his name or face crossed her mind, the fluttering in her chest was impossible to ignore.

After letting Daise help freshen up, Yun Qingxue stepped outside, hoping the morning sun would clear her mind and dispel the face that had tormented her all night.

No matter how she thought about it, she couldn’t understand how she had fallen for Feng Zihuang—a man she had only met twice!

“The Sacred Lord has returned!”

“The Sacred Lord is back!”

Yun Qingxue was wandering aimlessly around Luoyun Mountain when someone suddenly shouted.

Soon, the news spread like wildfire, echoed by voices calling out one after another.
