Chapter 308: You Are Special

“Hey, hey, hey! Wait a minute, wait for me!” Seeing as this was the only person she could ask for help, Yun Qingxue decided to ignore the boy’s cold and indifferent attitude and embrace her shamelessness.

“If you keep following me, you’ll be in danger!”

The boy slowed his steps slightly.

“But I don’t know how to leave this place. Can you tell me?”

Seizing the opportunity now that he had acknowledged her, Yun Qingxue quickly asked.

Only now did she truly understand how difficult it was to communicate with an icy beauty like him!

The boy hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Fine, I’ll take you out.”

“Thank you, kind person!” Yun Qingxue immediately flashed him a bright smile.

She had thought the icy beauty would be hard to talk to, but it turned out he was actually a good guy.

However, perhaps because she had been betrayed too many times, she couldn’t help but grow suspicious.

The fact that he had agreed so readily to take her out only made her more wary.

“Hello, my name is Yun Qingxue. What’s yours?” Though guarded inside, she kept her smile sweet.

“Yun—Qing—Xue?” The boy repeated her name slowly before suddenly asking, “Are you… from the Xuanling Continent?”

“I fell off a cliff in the Yunhuang Illusionary Realm and ended up here,” Yun Qingxue answered vaguely.

“Yunhuang Illusionary Realm?” The boy frowned but then nodded. “Alright, the entrance connecting the Yunhuang Illusionary Realm to the Divine Realm has recently opened. I’ll send you back.”

Yun Qingxue thought for a moment before smiling and nodding. “Sure, take me back then.”

Before falling off the cliff, she had seen Mo Changxing and Jin Lin. Though she didn’t know how they had gotten to the Yunhuang Illusionary Realm, those two fools had even jumped off the cliff to save her.

Even if they had been pulled up by the white light, she figured they would still try to find a way down to search for her.

Besides, A’Dai, Liuli, and Daise were still there. So no matter what, it was a good thing this divine boy could send her back to the Yunhuang Illusionary Realm.

And…

Yun Qingxue followed behind the boy, her eyes scrutinizing him.

The moment she had mentioned her name, he had asked if she was from the Xuanling Continent…

“Divine Brother,” Yun Qingxue called out with a smile. “When I told you my name earlier, why did you ask if I was from the Xuanling Continent?”

“Nothing,” the boy replied coolly, his voice devoid of emotion.

Yun Qingxue stuck her tongue out at his back. Icy beauties really were the least adorable!

“Do you know someone from the Xuanling Continent with the same name as me?” she pressed, determined to confirm whether he knew her.

“Flower King,” the boy uttered two words in his cold voice.

Yun Qingxue’s heart sank. He did know about her.

“Flower King? What does that mean?” She pretended not to understand, hoping to fish for more information.

“The new Flower King of the Xuanling Continent shares your name,” the boy replied without suspicion.

“Flower King…” Yun Qingxue smiled. “Just from the name, she must be very beautiful, right? Is she your lover?”

The boy suddenly stopped walking, his voice tinged with slight displeasure. “Don’t talk nonsense! I’ve never met the Flower King.

I only know a little about her because she’s the ruler of her clan!”

“Oh.” Yun Qingxue responded sullenly but noticed the faint redness creeping up the boy’s ears.

She couldn’t see his face, but the change in his ear color told her he was probably blushing.

Had she really asked something so teasing that it made him blush?

She had only jokingly asked if the Flower King was his girlfriend.

Was that really enough to make him blush? He was way too innocent! She wasn’t even blushing!

Or… had her own face thickened? If that was the case…

This icy beauty was definitely trouble! She had only been with him for a short while, and his cold attitude had already toughened her up!

The two continued walking, one in front of the other, without encountering a single soul along the way. The further they went, the more desolate the surroundings became, a stark contrast to the paradise-like scenery earlier.

Yun Qingxue grew even more wary. She stopped following and suddenly spoke up, “Your Divine Realm is really quiet, huh?”

“This area is close to the Divine Prison, so few gods come here,” the boy explained.

“Divine Prison?” Yun Qingxue frowned. If she understood correctly, the Divine Prison was essentially a jail, right?

“It’s where gods who have committed crimes are imprisoned,” the boy confirmed her guess.

“Why are you bringing me here?” Yun Qingxue took two steps back, her eyes filled with suspicion.

Having suffered too many losses from carelessness before, the moment she heard where they were, her mind conjured up a vivid scenario:

The boy lures her into the prison, throws her in when she’s not paying attention, and then points at her, declaring, “An outsider dares to trespass into the Divine Realm? Stay here and await trial!”

Tsk tsk…

It really felt like she was being led into a trap.

The boy slowly turned to face her, his expression calm and unreadable. “You don’t trust me.”

It wasn’t a question—just a flat statement.

Yun Qingxue felt a little awkward, unsure how to respond.

In a place like this, she did doubt him, but…

She couldn’t just say it outright!

If he truly meant well, her suspicion would hurt his feelings.

But if he really had ill intentions, calling him out wouldn’t do her any good either…

“In that case, we part ways here.” The boy turned around calmly and began walking back the way they had come.

“Hey, hey, hey!” Yun Qingxue steeled herself and quickly chased after him. “I’ve been tricked too many times before, so…”

She looked at him with clear eyes. “So… you’re a good person, right?”

A faint smile suddenly appeared on the boy’s otherwise cold and indifferent face. He found her question amusing. “What if I am? What if I’m not?”

“If you’re not, I’ll apologize and ask you to forget my suspicions and still help me leave. If you are…” Yun Qingxue frowned slightly. “Can’t you just do whatever you’re planning directly?

I’d rather fight you head-on—win or lose is another matter! But being on guard like this is exhausting, okay?”

“Hahaha!”

The boy’s smile widened, bright as the first thaw of winter snow.

“You’re the most interesting person I’ve ever met. You can rest assured—I mean you no harm whatsoever.”

“Swear it!” Yun Qingxue blurted out, then immediately cursed herself inwardly. *Idiot!*

Oaths were the most meaningless things in the world. How could she be so childish as to demand one?!
