Chapter 208: A Violent Clash

Yun Sisi conjured over a dozen swords, their cold, gleaming blades aimed at all the vital points around Yun Qingxue.

“Go!” Yun Sisi shouted, and the swords swiftly shot toward Yun Qingxue.

The night breeze carried the hum of the blades cutting through the air. Yun Qingxue remained composed. Just as the swords were about to reach her, she waved her hand, erecting a barrier in front of herself. Raising her right hand, pink peach blossom petals began to drift down from the sky.

One by one, the delicate pink petals, carrying a faint floral fragrance, appeared out of thin air, swirling like a floral rain in the air.

The swords struck the barrier, clashing against its force. Seizing the moment, Yun Qingxue leaped into the air, manipulating the petals to form several swirling vortexes of varying sizes.

Meanwhile, seeing that all her sword strikes had been dodged, Yun Sisi’s fury intensified. Today, she was determined to teach this reckless woman a lesson!

With a wave of her hand, she cast a spell, and dark mist began to rise around her. The mist rapidly expanded, twisting into countless black tendrils that slithered toward Yun Qingxue like living creatures.

“Go!”

Yun Qingxue’s own attack was ready. At her command, the petal vortexes surged toward Yun Sisi.

The black tendrils and the swirling petals met in the open space between the two, their opposing forces clashing violently.

The seemingly soft and delicate peach blossoms turned razor-sharp upon contact with the dark tendrils, slicing them into fragments. Meanwhile, the tendrils pierced through the petals like steel wires.

The severed petals and tendrils dissolved into tiny specks of light, vanishing into the air.

Seeing her attack fail once more, Yun Sisi unleashed another wave of dark mist, pushing it all toward Yun Qingxue.

Wherever the mist passed, the lush green grass withered instantly into blackened ash.

Poisonous mist! Yun Qingxue’s expression hardened—she couldn’t afford to underestimate it.

“Master, be careful!” Daisi, standing near the doorway, cried out in alarm.

That single shout drew Yun Sisi’s attention.

After hurling the dark mist at Yun Qingxue, Yun Sisi lunged toward Daisi, her clawed fingers aiming for the girl’s slender neck.

Daisi paled, frozen in terror. The sight of Yun Sisi’s crimson-nailed fingers felt like the scythe of death itself.

Yun Qingxue noticed the attack. Seeing Daisi standing motionless, she couldn’t be sure if Yun Sisi would truly harm her, but the woman’s ruthless strike suggested serious injury—or worse. Without hesitation, Yun Qingxue dashed toward Daisi.

Whether she fully trusted Daisi or not, as her master, she had a duty to protect her. Unless proven a traitor, no one was allowed to lay a hand on her maid!

Out of the corner of her eye, Yun Sisi caught Yun Qingxue’s approach and smirked.

Just as Daisi remained paralyzed by fear, Yun Sisi abruptly changed direction, charging straight at Yun Qingxue instead.

Realizing she had fallen into a trap, Yun Qingxue halted mid-air, trying to retreat. But a chilling sensation crept up her back.

Her heart lurched. Turning slightly, she saw the dark mist she had evaded earlier now twisting toward her, following her movements.

The withered, blackened grass below was a grim reminder of the mist’s lethality. And ahead, Yun Sisi’s palm, charged with immense power, was aimed straight at her chest.

Yun Sisi grinned viciously. Did this wretched woman really think she could challenge her—could steal Changxing’s affection? She would send her straight to hell!

This had been her plan all along. If Yun Qingxue hadn’t come to Daisi’s rescue, she would have killed the maid to crush her spirit. But since she did, she had no time to dispel the mist—now under Yun Sisi’s control, it would chase her relentlessly.

Even if Yun Qingxue blocked her strike, the force would send her tumbling back into the poisonous fog.

At the very least, it would ruin that pretty face of hers.
