Chapter 176: Solutions (2)

Mo Changxing’s face turned extremely unpleasant, even worse than if he had swallowed a fly alive. He had long been fed up with Yun Sisi’s persistent pestering.

Yet that woman was like an indestructible cockroach—no matter how coldly he treated her, she would still smile and cling to him as if nothing had happened!

“So, what do you suggest?” Yun Ye, finding Yuejian’s analysis quite reasonable, asked.

Yuejian cautiously glanced at Mo Changxing.

The entire demon race knew how much Lady Sisi adored the young master. Similarly, the entire demon race also knew how much the young master disliked Lady Sisi.

His proposal might successfully locate Lady Sisi, but it could also mean offending the young master!

“Speak,” Mo Changxing’s cool voice reached Yuejian’s ears.

With that single word, Yuejian immediately understood that the young master was aware of his plan—and by allowing him to speak, it was tacit approval of his suggestion.

“Since Lady Sisi intended to come looking for the young master, we might as well spread the word that the young master is at Luoyun Mountain. That way, once Lady Sisi hears the news, she’ll come to Luoyun Mountain on her own without us having to search for her!” Yuejian blurted out his plan in one breath.

“That’s actually a good idea!” Yun Ye nodded, agreeing with Yuejian’s proposal.

However, while Yuejian’s plan was feasible, the demon race had long been at odds with the various factions of the Xuanling Continent. Thus, Mo Changxing’s identity as the young master of the demon race was a sensitive matter. They couldn’t openly spread the news that the demon race’s young master was at Luoyun Mountain—that would only invite unnecessary trouble. So then…

Yun Ye’s deep, dark eyes turned toward Ziqu Shengjun.

Ziqu Shengjun felt a chill under that gaze—being sized up like this was anything but pleasant!

“Speak your mind!” Ziqu Shengjun uttered defensively. Dealing with someone as scheming as Yun Ye required constant vigilance—otherwise, there was a real risk of being sold out!

“Brother Zi,” Yun Ye called out lightly.

Ziqu Shengjun, however, remained wary. “No need for such courtesy, alright? Your attitude makes me uneasy!”

Mostly because he feared Yun Ye had ulterior motives!

“Then I’ll be blunt!” Yun Ye took the opportunity without hesitation.

Ziqu Shengjun’s face twitched involuntarily. Yun Ye, your ability to seize an opening was truly *masterful* (shameless)!

“Lend me your identity!” Yun Ye stated plainly.

Ziqu Shengjun immediately understood. “You mean…?”

Yun Ye nodded, and the two shared a tacit understanding.

“Have our people spread the word that Ziqu Shengjun of Luoyun Mountain has taken in a disciple—a mysterious young man named Mo Changxing!”

Yun Ye instructed Yuejian, who promptly left to carry out the order.

In the Sea of Books.

Following Mo Changxing’s guidance, Yun Qingxue was intently focused on a book filled with incomprehensible celestial script, staring at it for hours on end.

Her eyes had already grown dry and sore, yet the indecipherable text showed no signs of transforming.

Was she not concentrating hard enough?

“Celestial Book, oh Celestial Book, tell me—how can I understand you?”

With no progress made, Yun Qingxue sighed dejectedly and muttered to the book in her hands. She set it down and closed her eyes, rubbing her tired, dry eyelids.

“*Ssss~*” Adai slithered out from her wrist, seemingly sympathetic to her efforts, and gently brushed its cool body over her closed, weary eyes.

The refreshing sensation brought some relief to Yun Qingxue’s strained vision.

“Adai, you’re so thoughtful,” Yun Qingxue praised with a smile before reopening her eyes and picking up the book again.

She gasped in shock.

W-what in the world?!

The text she had struggled to decipher all afternoon had suddenly transformed into legible words the moment she blinked!

“Adai?” Yun Qingxue lifted the hand around which Adai was coiled, her watery eyes meeting the snake’s tiny, round, bean-like ones.

“Did you help me translate the text?” she asked in disbelief.

She couldn’t comprehend it—if not Adai, how had the celestial script, which she couldn’t decipher despite hours of focus, suddenly become readable after just a short break?

“*Ssss~*” Adai blinked its beady eyes, utterly clueless, and innocently flicked its tongue. *”Master, it wasn’t me! I know nothing—I’m just an innocent little snake!”*

“Did you really help me translate the text?” Yun Qingxue held the book up to Adai, asking again in astonishment.

Adai glanced at the book in her other hand—the obscure celestial script made its little head ache!

*I’m not good at studying, Master—don’t put me on the spot!*

“Was it you who transformed the words on this page?” Yun Qingxue pressed.

Adai looked at the celestial book, then back at Yun Qingxue, before flicking its tongue again. “*Ssss~*”

*Master, weren’t the words always like this? I didn’t do anything!*
