Chapter 981: Celebration

In a realm where crimson energy currents pervaded the air, Luo Feng lay hidden in the underbrush.

“I never imagined that the entire Nine Nether Space would be the territory of the Nine Nether Sovereign,” Luo Feng pondered. “Within this Nine Nether Realm, the Nine Nether Sovereign appears invincible. Could it be that this unique environment enhances the power of formidable beings?”

After pondering for a moment, Luo Feng stopped thinking further.

This matter was still distant from him.

“Hmm?”

“Why are they looking for me?” Luo Feng immediately connected his consciousness to the Glory World.

In the Glory World, at an open-air plaza.

As soon as Luo Feng appeared out of nowhere, countless inheritors at the plaza turned their gazes toward him.

“Look, there’s King Daohe.”

“King Daohe has appeared. Indeed, his talent for creating clones makes him extremely difficult to kill.”

Luo Feng felt puzzled as he was stared at. Why were all these inheritors watching him so intently? These inheritors were all peerless geniuses. The previous storm of over 620,000 challenges had long passed. Even during his previous visits to the Glory World, only a few inheritors had paid attention to him, never this many, as if he were some rare treasure to be gawked at.

“Daohe!” from a corner of the open-air plaza, King Chaman called out.

Luo Feng immediately walked over.

As he moved across the plaza, Luo Feng drew a crowd of onlookers wherever he went. The inheritors watched him while whispering among themselves, increasing his confusion.

“King Daohe, do you still have your treasure wings?” suddenly someone shouted.

Luo Feng glanced over. It was an inheritor from the Northern Border Alliance’s large group, speaking with a smirk. His face, covered in a hard layer, bore an expression Luo Feng found repulsive.

Luo Feng ignored him and quickly made his way to the group from the Hong Alliance.

“What’s going on?” Luo Feng sat down at a table where Kings Chaman, Lishuo, and Qianyu were already seated. These three were the closest allies Luo Feng had within the Hong Alliance group.

“Daohe, we heard you were pursued by King Weijing and fell into the Nine Nether Vortex. Is that true?” King Chaman first sealed off the surrounding sounds before speaking in hushed tones.

Luo Feng was startled.

He had just entered that realm not long ago, yet the news had already spread.

“Could it really be true?” King Qianyu quickly discerned from Luo Feng’s expression.

“Yes,” Luo Feng confirmed.

Since the news had already gotten out, there was no point in hiding it anymore.

“You actually entered the Nine Nether Vortex? That place is so dangerous even a Universe Master would find it hard to survive,” King Qianyu exclaimed. Beside her, Kings Lishuo and Chaman looked at Luo Feng with concern. Chaman couldn’t help adding, “Rumors say you were forced into a desperate situation and killed, and that your treasure wings fell into that perilous place.”

“Where did you hear all this?” Luo Feng couldn’t help but ask.

“The news spread like wildfire among the crowd at the open-air plaza,” King Chaman responded. “They say King Weijing chased you relentlessly, leaving you with no escape, and you ultimately plunged into the Nine Abyss Vortex.”

“Did you really perish in the Nine Nether Vortex?” King Lishuo couldn’t help but inquire.

Many believed Luo Feng had already perished once and revived using his clone ability, though his treasure had been left behind in that perilous place.

“How did you find out so quickly? I just fell into that dire situation, yet the news spread so fast,” Luo Feng shook his head. “It must have been one of them—Ziya Sovereign or King Weijing—who spread the news.”

“Where does the Nine Abyss Vortex lead?” King Chaman pressed further.

“How dangerous is it?” King Lishuo asked.

King Qianyu stared at Luo Feng.

This was classified intelligence. Very few had survived to escape from there, making the intelligence extremely valuable and closely guarded. Only the information easily discovered by inheritors would spread.

“It’s extremely dangerous,” Luo Feng thought of the alien Cosmic Sovereign hunting King Weijing, his voice low. “You can’t teleport or use divine country transmission there, and there are many powerful beings. I’m barely surviving and fear I won’t escape the pursuit.”

“Unable to teleport or use divine country transmission?” The expressions of Kings Chaman, Lishuo, and Qianyu all changed.

“This is like being trapped in a world with an imprisonment treasure,” King Chaman couldn’t help but say.

There was no escape.

Even if one survived, it was like being imprisoned for an endless time, which was truly terrifying for powerful beings.

“I can’t talk much longer. I still need to keep running for my life,” Luo Feng said grimly before vanishing into thin air.

This left Kings Chaman, Lishuo, and Qianyu silently acknowledging that the secret of the Nine Nether Vortex was no ordinary intelligence. If not for Luo Feng’s close relationship with them, he probably wouldn’t have disclosed it so readily.

Luo Feng was fleeing for his life in that realm, trying to run as far as possible.

Meanwhile, discussions about him were ongoing in the Glory World.

“King Weijing has arrived.”

“It’s King Weijing.”

When King Weijing appeared at the open-air plaza of the Glory World, he received the same treatment as Luo Feng, drawing a large crowd of inheritors’ attention.

“King Weijing, did you truly pursue King Daohe? Did he fall into the Nine Abyss Vortex? Is this real?” an inheritor immediately inquired.

“Hmph!”

King Weijing merely snorted coldly without responding, directly heading toward the gathering place of the Northern Border Alliance group.

Having failed to obtain the treasure of King Daohe, he had originally planned to launch an expedition in the Nine Nether Realm. However, he suddenly received an email from some friends through the Glory World, informing him that the events had already spread throughout the entire Glory World.

“Damn it, it must have been Sovereign Ziya or those five bastards. But those five probably don’t have the guts. It’s most likely Sovereign Ziya who leaked the information.”

“Hmph, seems like he isn’t a fool. The news about King Daohe possessing a soul treasure is new intelligence, and he wisely kept it quiet,” King Weijing muttered to himself. He then walked to the Northern Border Alliance group and sat down casually.

King Weijing glanced at the many inheritors around him.

“I know everyone is curious about this matter.”

King Weijing smirked maliciously. “Though I don’t know which bastard leaked the news, it’s true—King Daohe did flee into the Nine Nether Vortex after being pursued by me. Haha, the Nine Nether Vortex! Even a Cosmic Sovereign would find it hard to survive there. Even if King Daohe has his clone ability, at the very least, his treasures will be left behind.”

King Weijing was arrogant and openly admitted everything.

Six days later.

On Purple Thorn Island, there stood numerous magnificent palaces of various ethnicities.

“Boom~~~” A mighty surge of Origin Law energy descended, shaking the entirety of Purple Jing Island. This sudden disturbance prompted numerous inheritors on the island to immediately take flight, their gazes drawn toward the epicenter of the overwhelming Origin Law aura—the residence of King Zhenyan.

Above the residence, a colorful vortex appeared.

The five elemental laws—Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth—interwove harmoniously, giving rise to a more noble and majestic ‘Spatial Origin Law’ aura. At the core of the colorful vortex was a void, like a mysterious passage connected to the Origin of the Universe, with boundless divine power pouring directly into King Zhenyan’s mansion.

“He’s broken through?”

“The Spatial Law!”

“Who is it? Who has comprehended the complete Spatial Law and become a Cosmic Sovereign?” Countless figures soared into the air above Purple Jing Island, gazing at the spectacle with a mix of shock and envy.

Billions of successors on Purple Thorn Island were trapped at that threshold, eagerly awaiting this very day.

“Whose residence is that?”

“I don’t know.”

“Neither do I.”

“Who is it? Who has broken through and become a Cosmic Sovereign?”

“Nobody knows.”

Surprisingly few inheritors knew, and even the Hong Alliance group was largely unaware. It was King Chaman who said, “That residence is next to King Daohe’s. He is the other inheritor sent by our human race this time. Two inheritors were sent this time—one is King Daohe, the other is King Zhenyan.”

“King Zhenyan?”

“King Zhenyan has broken through to become a Cosmic Sovereign?” This revelation shocked many inheritors within the Hong Alliance group.

“King Zhenyan has been stuck at that threshold for countless eons. He has finally broken through. We should go pay our respects and offer our congratulations.”

“Not yet. Right now, King Zhenyan is at the most critical moment of absorbing divine power. We mustn’t waste any of his time.”

On the path of power, becoming an immortal, a Cosmic Sovereign, or a Cosmic Lord—these three milestones are especially significant. During these moments, the Cosmic Origin Laws descend. Particularly the first transformation into a divine body allows one to absorb divine power to the fullest. However, the second and third transformations are not as fortunate.

Of course, during the moments of becoming a Cosmic Sovereign and a Cosmic Lord—these two pivotal moments—while one cannot absorb divine power to the fullest, it is still a unique opportunity compared to regular times.

Because the descent of the Origin Laws means a complete connection to the ‘Law Ocean,’ allowing one to absorb divine power freely. Unfortunately, the duration of the Origin Laws’ descent is limited. After a certain period, the Origin Laws will vanish, so the opportunity to absorb divine power to the fullest is only available for a brief moment.

Shortly afterward, all the fluctuations dissipated.

Immediately, some inheritors and even Cosmic Sovereigns from the Hong Alliance group went to visit.

“Creak.” The door opened.

King Zhenyan was smiling as he looked outside: “Haha, please come in.”

“Congratulations, King Zhenyan… no, Venerable Zhenyan.”

“Zhenyan, congratulations. You’ve finally crossed into the realm of Cosmic Sovereign.”

Unlike Luo Feng, King Zhenyan had many friends. Many Cosmic Sovereigns had some acquaintance with him.

“Yes, after an endless time, I’ve finally crossed into this realm,” King Zhenyan nodded, his spirit renewed, no longer showing any signs of weariness.

“How much divine power did you absorb this time?”

“Not bad. I took the opportunity during the Origin Law’s descent to absorb a substantial amount, bringing my divine body to 92% of its current limit,” King Zhenyan replied.

“You didn’t reach 100%? Considering our human body size is small, we naturally store less divine power. This opportunity should have allowed you to absorb 100%, right?”

The larger the body, the harder it is to store divine power up to 100%.

For example, a World Tree with its massive size, upon crossing into the ‘Cosmic Sovereign’ realm, might absorb more divine power during the brief descent of the Origin Laws than King Zhenyan. However, relative to the World Tree’s immense size, it would still be a mere drop in the ocean. It would still require a long time in the future to accumulate divine power to improve.

“Zhenyan’s life genetic level was enhanced long ago, about tenfold. After becoming a Cosmic Sovereign, his divine body’s limit is higher, so reaching 92% is quite impressive.”

As King Zhenyan conversed with other powerful beings, he felt puzzled. Why hadn’t his disciple Luo Feng come to visit him upon his breakthrough to Cosmic Sovereign?
