Chapter 916: Exposure

Feng Luo’s heart tightened as he allowed Tara Sha to stroke his small braid. Yau was beside them, saying, “I also feel that Beifa has been down today.”

“Is there something troubling you?” Tara Sha continued stroking Feng Luo’s braid.

“When I’m in a bad mood, I just don’t feel like talking,” Feng Luo muttered.

Tara Sha looked at Feng Luo with a warm gaze, “It seems our Beifa has something on her mind. Think about it carefully, and if you can’t figure it out, come tell Teacher Tara Sha, and she will tell you.”

“Okay,” Feng Luo nodded, but he could feel the deep affection—familial love—that Tara Sha and Yau had for this ‘Beifa.’

It was an incredibly strong familial bond.

“The information was indeed accurate. The special lifeforms, the ‘Dokko,’ may be fierce towards other alien races that invade them, but among themselves, they treat each other like family. If someone kills one of their kin, it will provoke a relentless hunt by all Dokko,” Feng Luo mused inwardly.

“You two play here,” Tara Sha smiled. “If anything happens, come find me at the cultivation hall.”

“Okay, Teacher Tara Sha,” Yau quickly replied.

“Understood, Teacher Tara Sha,” Feng Luo also said.

Tara Sha smiled and then turned to leave.

Feng Luo finally exhaled in relief. The Tara Sha seen in the video, who had killed the Moslom monkey with such coldness and murderous intent, was now acting like a loving mother. Feng Luo, however, was unaware… that in the evolution of the universe, these special lifeforms, the ‘Dokko,’ were not all born simultaneously, but rather at different times.

Some were born earlier, some later. Over 300 million years ago, a new Dokko had even been born.

Tara Sha was the ninth Dokko to be born among the thousands, predating Beifa and Yau by millions of years. She was among the top ten strongest Dokko and bore the important responsibility of teaching the weaker Dokko. Hence, Beifa, Yau, and others all addressed her as ‘Teacher Tara Sha.’

Feng Luo looked at the ice sculptures in front of him. Inside the ice sculptures were Moslom monkeys, strong warriors from the alien Lei Quan Clan… and even a strong human warrior! But they were all frozen solid, their souls long since shattered by the cold.

“What an interesting Moslom monkey,” Yau observed the creature closely. “This is the first time I’ve seen one in the real world. Before this, I only saw them in virtual worlds.”

“Virtual world?” Feng Luo’s mind stirred.

Virtual technology was considered quite common in the universe. Small-scale virtual worlds, such as the Earth’s War God Hall, which was built from an ancient spaceship’s personal computer chip, were already widespread. Small-scale virtual worlds had always been a basic technology; the challenge was creating massive-scale ones.

A virtual world covering an entire star system.

A virtual world covering an entire star region—whether it was a star zone, an entire human territory, or even the entire virtual universe!

The larger the scale, the exponentially greater the difficulty!

“It would be easy for the Dokko to build a virtual world covering the ‘Ice Prison Star Belt.’ Just from the intelligent computers obtained from generations of invading alien warriors, it could be easily accomplished,” Feng Luo understood.

“Beifa, let’s go visit the secret technique hall,” Yau said. “The secret techniques created by Teacher Tara Sha are quite complex.”

“I won’t go,” Feng Luo said. “I want to walk around alone for a bit.”

“Oh.”

Yau nodded. “That’s right. The secret techniques created by Teacher Tara Sha suit us, but they wouldn’t be suitable for you.”

Feng Luo was slightly puzzled before realizing Yau was referring to the difference between the blue Dokko and the purple Dokko.

“Then I’m off!” Yau happily jumped and disappeared.

“What great luck,” Feng Luo thought to himself with relief. “I was originally thinking how to act alone, and now I’ve easily found an opportunity. Alright, I’ll head to the place where the black metal plates are stored.” With that, Feng Luo jumped and began flying around the palace.

In the deepest part of this palace—the cultivation hall.

Tara Sha sat cross-legged on the icy ground. Her invisible divine power silently permeated the entire inner palace, and a faint smile played on her lips: “Yau has gone to the Secret Technique Hall, while Beifa headed to the Hall of Myriad Things… Yau truly is something—knowing Beifa is in low spirits yet choosing not to accompany her, opting for the Secret Technique Hall instead. Beifa doesn’t even practice my lineage… Well, the Hall of Myriad Things houses all manner of peculiar artifacts collected from those outsiders, which might just divert Beifa’s troubled thoughts.”

Then Tara Sha closed her eyes, connected her consciousness to the virtual world, and began communicating with other clan members.

For the special lifeforms known as the Dokko…

Over countless eons, many alien immortals who adventurously came to the Ice Prison Star Belt with hopes of luck were indeed captured—99% of them. But some lucky ones had managed to steal treasures before, which was why alien immortals kept coming to try their luck from time to time. After they were killed, many of the treasures they carried were of little use to the Dokko, who usually discarded them as decorations or playthings.

Tara Sha had placed many of these playthings in a hall, naming it the ‘Ten Thousand Things Hall.’

The black metal plate… was in the Ten Thousand Things Hall!

Inside the Ten Thousand Things Hall.

Feng Luo casually wandered into the hall. Since the entire palace had already been precisely scanned by the Moslom monkey’s ‘large detector’ earlier, he had a clear mental map of the palace’s structure.

“Now, it’s all about luck.”

Feng Luo entered the Ten Thousand Things Hall, stepping onto the icy floor. His gaze fell on the various items carelessly scattered on the ground—some weapons, some armor, and some special materials, all randomly placed. These items weren’t of much value; at least, Feng Luo didn’t consider them worth his attention.

“The black metal plate.” Feng Luo suddenly waved his hand, tossing some items aside, revealing the black metal plate buried underneath.

“The third black metal plate.” Feng Luo instantly recognized it as the one he was looking for.

“Now it’s all about luck… Once I get the black metal plate, I’ll leave immediately,” Feng Luo thought to himself. “It will take some time for me to leave the palace and exit the Ice Prison Star. If Tara Sha notices something wrong during this short time… I’ll be in serious trouble. However, she probably won’t be overly suspicious of her own people, so I still have a chance to escape.”

“Besides, judging from the way the black metal plate was carelessly placed here, she clearly didn’t value it much.” Feng Luo wasted no more time.

After placing the black metal plate into his world ring, he immediately headed out.

Zooom!

Feng Luo darted through the palace, not too fast, not too slow.

As Feng Luo flew out of the inner hall’s threshold, a voice suddenly rang in his ears: “Beifa, going back already? Not waiting for Yau?”

“No, I just want to go back,” Feng Luo’s heart trembled slightly, but he replied calmly. “I’ll visit Teacher Tara Sha again next time.”

“Okay, go ahead,” Tara Sha kindly said.

Feng Luo didn’t waste any time and quickly flew out of the palace, heading along the passage toward the outside of the Ice Prison Star. Although he had the ‘teleportation’ ability, he dared not use it… because using teleportation would definitely be detected, as clearly stated in the Virtual Universe Company’s records.

Though anxious, Feng Luo still forced himself to keep flying outward.

Inside the virtual world constructed within the Ice Prison Star Belt.

In a plaza, Tara Sha was sitting with three other Dokko clan members, drinking some fruit wine. She shook her head and said, “I don’t know what’s wrong with Beifa. She came to see me earlier, looking gloomy, and I felt something was off with her.”

“Maybe she got rejected after confessing her feelings,” one of the Dokko joked.

Among the thousands of Dokko, although they couldn’t reproduce, the blue Dokko generally pursued the purple Dokko, pairing up to live together. Since there were many blue Dokko but few purple ones… and many purple Dokko preferred to live alone, rejections were quite common.

“Tara Sha, you said Beifa came to see you and was gloomy? I just saw Beifa laughing with Boya and a few others, heading off to play in the battle games.”

“Laughing?”

Tara Sha’s expression slightly changed. The Dokko were inherently honest and didn’t hide their emotions. If someone was gloomy just moments ago, yet now was laughing and playing battle games with other clan members…

Inside the palace’s cultivation hall, the meditating Tara Sha suddenly opened her eyes, her expression shifting slightly. Her invisible divine power swiftly expanded outward, scanning Mo Sha Luo Feng, who had just flown out of the Ice Prison Star passage. Her invisible mental force penetrated into Mo Sha Luo Feng’s body… and effortlessly detected the ‘life crystal core’ within this fake Beifa’s form.

“She’s not Beifa!”

“She’s an alien!” A terrifying killing intent suddenly surged in Tara Sha’s eyes.

Swish!

The Tara Sha who had originally been inside the palace instantly disappeared with a teleportation, and reappeared directly in front of Luo Feng.

Teleportation was a taboo within the Ice Prison Star Belt!

Although some of the powerful Dokko, like Tara Sha, knew how to teleport, none of them ever used it in daily life. Instead, they all traveled to meet each other using ‘cosmic flight,’ because… the fastest way for aliens to steal treasures was teleportation.

If none of the Dokko used teleportation, then any detected ‘teleportation’ spatial fluctuations would definitely indicate the presence of an alien!

Other than that—when chasing and killing aliens, teleportation could naturally be used.

In short, detecting teleportation fluctuations meant that aliens had invaded, or a major situation had occurred.

“Alien!”

“Has an alien come?”

Within the Ice Prison Star Belt, on each icy star, dozens of powerful immortal Dokko simultaneously sensed the teleportation fluctuations.

On the two largest icy stars in the Ice Prison Star Belt—one with a diameter of 103,000 kilometers, the other 96,000 kilometers—resided two terrifying Cosmic Sovereigns, the ‘Cosmic Sovereigns’ of the special lifeforms, who were naturally immensely powerful.

“Alien?”

“An alien has come?”

The two Cosmic Sovereigns also sensed it.

“As long as I fly out of the Ice Prison Star and accelerate to light speed, I can escape without anyone noticing,” Luo Feng was rushing out of the Ice Prison Star’s passage, continuing to fly upward into the sky. Near the icy star’s surface, there were strong air currents, similar to Earth’s atmosphere—though not as thick, they still created resistance.

He had to fly beyond that to accelerate to light speed.

Boom!

A powerful aura suddenly appeared above Luo Feng. It was the purple figure—Tara Sha, radiating an overwhelming killing intent. Her eyes locked onto Luo Feng as her icy voice echoed through the heavens: “Alien!!!”

Luo Feng, flying upward, saw the purple figure above him and his face immediately changed drastically.
