Chapter 793: The Mainland of the Yan祭 Continent

The Yanji Continent’s primary landmass spans a staggering 1.8 light-years at its widest point. Even if all the formidable masters from the surrounding myriad isles were gathered, their combined might would pale in comparison to the sheer power concentrated upon the central continent.

Above the vast and desolate desert of the main continent, a black flying saucer was traveling at sub-light speed.

“Luo Feng, there is an alien team 960 million kilometers away. It consists of three immortal deities and over ten thousand soldiers. They are currently monitoring their conversation. According to the chatter among the alien soldiers, one of the three immortal deities in their team is a Marquis-level immortal, and his power is extremely high.”

A moment later—

“Luo Feng, beneath the sands of the desert 980 million kilometers away, lies another alien squad. It consists of two immortal deities and twenty-three alien Lords. These Lords are currently in discussion. According to surveillance data, they appear to have just emerged from battle with severe casualties. Among them is even a Marquis-ranked immortal.”

Moment—

“…The leader of the team is a Marquis-level immortal deity.”

“…The leader of the team is a Marquis-level immortal deity.”

……

……

Inside the control room of the spaceship, Luo Feng sat leisurely on the sofa, sipping fruit wine as he listened to the continuous updates from Babata echoing in his mind.

“Alright, Babata, no need to be so detailed,” Luo Feng said, placing his glass down. “I could have guessed it even without your monitoring… every single one of those teams must have a Marquis-level immortal deity!”

“Not bad, not bad, my master. Truly wise,” Babata chuckled.

From the moment Luo Feng reached the Domain Lord level, Babata, according to the most fundamental core program of an intelligent lifeform, automatically recognized Luo Feng as its master. However, since Babata was already an intelligent lifeform with its own emotions, it often referred to Hu Yanbo as its master, and usually addressed Luo Feng by his name rather than as “master.”

Names are just names.

As an intelligent lifeform, Babata naturally regarded Luo Feng as its master.

This is the uniqueness of “intelligent life.” Among one of the top cosmic races—the “Mechanical Race”—every Mechanical Race individual is an intelligent lifeform. Within their ranks, there are strict hierarchical permissions, and it is absolutely impossible for a lower-ranked individual to challenge a higher-ranked one. In fact, the Mechanical Race is considered one of the most united races in the universe.

“Wise, my ass.”

“Thirty-six days have passed since we entered the main continent of the Yanji Continent, and we’ve detected over 800 teams. Whether they’re alien squads or human factions, our scans reveal that not a single one lacks a Marquis-level immortal deity,” Luo Feng shook his head. “It’s clear as day—any team operating on the main continent of the Yanji Continent must possess at least one Marquis-tier immortal!”

“That’s only to be expected.”

“According to the data I’ve gathered, among the immortal deities, Immortal Generals make up about two-thirds, while Marquis-level immortals account for about one-third, with only a few King-level immortals.”

“The high ratio of Marquis-level immortals means that in any squad consisting of three to five immortals, there must be at least one Marquis. Teams without a Marquis simply cannot survive on the Yanji Continent,” Luo Feng said with a smile. It was much like when a World Lord-level Star Devourer appeared on Misty Sand Island, compelling the immortal deities to immediately form groups of five or six.

Same principle.

The high number of Marquis-level immortals meant that teams containing them were naturally numerous, forcing other teams without a Marquis to immediately ally with others, at least ensuring that their team had a Marquis. Only then could their survival probability increase. Otherwise, they would simply be slaughtered by teams with a Marquis. No one likes to be slaughtered.

A Marquis-level immortal!

They possess an immortal body. It is rare for Marquis-level immortals to perish in battle against each other unless one of them has an extremely high mastery of soul attacks.

……

“It appears that King-level immortals are truly exceedingly rare. We’ve been soaring over the main continent of the Yanji Continent for thirty-six days now, yet not a single squad bearing a King-level immortal has crossed our path,” Luo Feng remarked with a shake of his head.

“That’s perfectly normal. A direct flight across the entire Yanji Continent would take roughly two years—and that’s traveling in a straight line. If you wanted to conduct a thorough search of the entire landmass, crisscrossing back and forth endlessly, even if every King-level immortal remained stationary, it would require ten thousand years of relentless scouring to cover every inch. Ten thousand years wouldn’t even suffice to explore it all completely. So it’s hardly surprising you haven’t encountered a single King-level immortal in just thirty-six days!”

“Even if you did encounter a King-level immortal, their detection equipment might be more advanced than yours, shielding them from your scans. We wouldn’t even be able to detect them!”

Luo Feng shook his head.

“Babata,” Luo Feng ordered.

“Activate all functions of Detector No. 2, keep Detector No. 1 operating normally, but disable the shielding function of Detector No. 1, only maintaining its self-protection protocols,” Luo Feng mentally commanded.

“Understood.”

Babata immediately complied.

Detector No. 1 was something Luo Feng had exchanged for a large number of points in Chaos City. It was definitely a standard piece of equipment for a King-level immortal.

Detector No. 2 was a device Luo Feng had discovered among the spoils after his Gold-Horned Giant Beast clone had killed the alien Marquis-level immortal ‘Fenya’. If purchased with money, it would have cost around hundreds of thousands of Primordial units. It was a decent detector.

Now, with the shielding function of Detector No. 1 disabled.

Then—

If any alien immortal squad possessed a detection device even marginally superior to Detector No. 2, they could effortlessly pinpoint Luo Feng’s vessel. While locating a scanner surpassing Detector No. 1 across the Yanji Continent would prove arduous, uncovering one that outmatched No. 2 would be child’s play.

(Note: “Yan祭” was rendered as “Yanji” assuming it’s a proper noun/continent name. If “祭” carries ritualistic significance, alternative translations like “Yan Sacrifice Continent” could be considered based on context.)

“Luo Feng, you’re really cunning.”

“It’s not cunning, it’s just boredom. I need to do some fishing and attract some fish to take the bait.”

……

310 million kilometers away from Luo Feng’s spaceship, a pitch-black biotech spacecraft was flying through space.

Inside the control room of the ship.

“Damn humans, having immortal plant lives! If it weren’t for that plant life interfering, I would have killed them already,” a man with a wolf’s head, scaly armor, and a human body roared in fury. “Humans are too wealthy. Even Marquis-level human immortals often have immortal plant companions.”

“Humans are indeed wealthy,” a male alien immortal with butterfly-like wings and a large compound eye on his forehead said in a deep voice as he sat at the dining table.

If Luo Feng were here, he could immediately identify them.

This was an alien race—the Tail Remnant Clan, a powerful race, not a vassal of the Demonkin.

In fact, among the many alien races outside the battlefield of the four peak races, not all were vassal races. Some were powerful races that had specially negotiated with the peak races and sent their members to participate for training purposes.

Even more so!

Besides the four peak races participating in the war, there were also other peak races involved.

After all—

The Demon Race, the Mechanical Race, the Humans, and the Insectoid Race are merely four of the six supreme cosmic civilizations. Due to their proximity and fierce territorial disputes, conflicts frequently erupt between them. The remaining two paramount cosmic races dwell in the most distant corners of the universe, making large-scale warfare between them a rarity by nature.

Otherwise, the transportation costs alone would be terrifying. However, some members of those two peak races were willing to come and participate in the battles.

Like the Kawa Clan… although aligned with the Insect Race.

In reality, the Kawa Clan was a vassal race of one of those two distant peak races.

“Humans are very well-developed in machinery, biology, and many other aspects,” another male Tail Remnant immortal said enviously. “Combined with the unique ‘Virtual Cosmic Network’ in the universe, the entire human race is unified into a single force, achieving the most efficient use of resources. This is something other races cannot match.”

“Hmph!”

“Human physical attributes are inherently weak, generally inferior to us demonkind. They can only contend with us through various external means,” the wolf-headed man clad in scaly armor snorted disdainfully. “What a pity those Star Beast Kings are too arrogant to acknowledge themselves as part of our demonkind. Those haughty Star Beast Kings never consider how their superior intellect, innate talents, and colossal forms naturally align them with our kind—especially the twelve supreme bloodlines, which surpass even our royal lineages in nobility. Such a waste…”

“That group of Star Beast Kings has immense power but no territory. That’s quite strange,” a female Tail Remnant immortal said.

“Even without territory, the entire cosmos is their domain,” answered the wolf-headed warrior clad in scaled armor. “Star Beast Monarchs are dispersed across the universe. Many world-ruler level Star Beast Monarchs may never encounter another in their entire existence—unless they ascend to immortality and gain access to the heart of the Star Beast Monarchs’ realm.”

“The Star Beast Alliance! That’s one of the super-alliances in the universe.”

“If this alliance were willing to merge into our Demon Race, we would instantly ascend to become the supreme paramount species in the cosmos,” sighed the wolf-headed man clad in scaly armor.

Indeed, the demonic tribes and the Star Beast Kings share countless intertwined fates.

In truth, the Celestial Beast Monarchs are akin to an exalted incarnation of the Fae Folk! No wonder the Fae have ceaselessly sought to assimilate these stellar sovereigns into their lineage.

……

As the three celestial beings from beyond the stars conversed about mortals, the demonic tribes, and the Sovereigns of Star Beasts—

“Hmm?” The man with the wolf’s head and scaly armor looked down at the screen on his wrist device.

The two Tail Remnant immortals looked at him.

“Captain?” Both Tail Remnant immortals were puzzled.

“I’ve detected a human spaceship,” the man with the wolf’s head and scaly armor said gravely.

“What’s so strange about detecting a human spaceship?” the female Tail Remnant immortal smiled. “Looks like the captain has been provoked by humans.”

“No… the human aboard this vessel is a Realm Lord!” declared the man with the lupine visage and scaled armor, his voice grave.

“Lord of the A Realm?”

“How is that possible?”

The two Tail Remnant immortals were utterly stunned. On the main continent of the Yanji Realm, powerful beings were as numerous as the clouds. It could be said that any team here must possess at least a Marquis-level immortal, or wield extraordinary abilities comparable to one! Yet now, a mere human World Lord had appeared on the main continent of the Yanji Realm.

“A mere human Realm Lord dares to set foot on the Yanji Continent?”

“Is he looking for death?” the two Tail Remnant immortals couldn’t believe it.

“I think I know someone,” the man with the wolf’s head and scaly armor suddenly spoke. “Do you recall the Star-Devouring Realm Lord from the Misty Sand Island we discussed earlier?”

“The Lord Devourer of Stars from the Misty Sand Isle?” The twin one-eyed immortals of the Flickering Tail Sect suddenly brightened with intrigue.

“They say the Devouring Star Monarch possesses the combat prowess of a Marquis-level immortal and wields an immortal Hundred-Vine Devouring Star Grass,” the wolf-headed man clad in scaly armor sneered faintly. “This human monarch… is likely the Devouring Star Monarch himself. He probably thought himself invincible on Misty Sand Isle and has now ventured to the main continent to test his fortune. Hmph, how foolish! The main continent is no Misty Sand Isle! Slaying him… any objections?”

“Of course no objections,” the two Tail Remnant immortals smiled.

“Approach him,” the man with the wolf’s head and scaly armor ordered.

Whoosh!

The biotech spacecraft quickly accelerated toward Luo Feng’s spaceship.
