Chapter 619: That Is My Eldest Brother

Inside the grand banquet hall.

A group of thousands, including the great immortals and their subordinates, gathered within. The three leaders of the Qianwu Branch had been conversing briefly before each stepped onto the elevated stage at the front of the hall.

“Everyone!” the Ape Purple Lightning Marquis smiled, gazing at the many immortal deities below.

“Haha…”

The gathered immortals laughed and looked up, ready to hear the words of the three leaders.

“Each cycle, many are chosen into the Virtual Universe Company after the Genius Trial. But how many can defeat countless prodigies who have trained for thousands of years and rise to the Primordial Secret Realm in their first Qualification Trial?” The Purple Lightning Marquis raised his voice. “Everyone speaks of Bo Lan as a genius once in ten thousand cycles, but I say this person surpasses even Bo Lan! His progress is far swifter. Such a genius must be one in a million cycles!”

“Who is he?”

The Purple Lightning Marquis smiled broadly. “He is the newly appointed Inspector of our Qianwu Branch—Luo Feng! And for a long time to come, he will be the best partner to me, Golden Feather Marquis, and Heiyan Marquis.”

“He will indeed be our best partner. The Virtual Universe Company has entrusted Luo Feng with overseeing many of our affairs in the Qianwu Universe Kingdom,” Golden Feather Marquis added.

“We are all delighted that Luo Feng has joined our Qianwu Branch. To work alongside the favored disciple of Venerable Zhenyan, the peerless genius Mr. Luo Feng,” the Black Robe Maiden spoke with a smile, her voice echoing throughout the banquet hall, “let us welcome Mr. Luo Feng to the stage!”

“Welcome!”

“Welcome Luo Feng up here!”

The Marquis of Violet Thunder and the Marquis of Golden Plume cried out with fervor.

With the three leaders showing such enthusiasm, how could the great immortals of the Qianwu Universe Kingdom not show respect? To slight them at such a critical moment would surely bring trouble. Thus, all the immortals displayed warmth.

“Luo Feng!” the Purple Lightning Marquis called with fervor.

Luo Feng had no choice but to step onto the stage.

The enthusiasm of the three Qianwu Branch leaders astonished the gathered immortals.

The three leaders of the Qianwu Branch are usually quite haughty. Few within the Qianwu Universe Kingdom could ever receive such treatment from them. But today… tsk tsk…

“Just an Inspector, is it really necessary to go to such lengths? If Luo Feng dares to be ungrateful, we could easily eliminate him without a trace! After all, he’s just a Domain Lord at the ninth stage. There are plenty of ways to deal with him!” several immortal deities whispered.

“Do you really think you can kill Luo Feng without considering his teacher, Zhenyan?”

“Do you think Zhenyan would dare act without evidence?”

“Haha, it seems Zhenyan has been in Chaos City for too long. The passage of countless eons has made many forget his name.”

These great immortals were accustomed to eliminating enemies at their roots. Despite knowing Luo Feng was an Inspector, they still viewed him as a mere junior at the ninth stage of Domain Lord, prompting many to feel a hint of disdain. Yet witnessing the eagerness of the three Qianwu Branch leaders…

Clearly, the three leaders were making a statement—

We fully support Luo Feng!

Luo Feng stands with us. We are the four leaders of the Qianwu Branch!

Offend Luo Feng, and you offend us three!

In truth, those words were merely a gesture, a declaration.

This immediately shifted the thoughts of the immortal deities, elevating Luo Feng’s status in their minds.

“Offending Luo Feng means offending the three leaders. Offending the three leaders… one can only be ostracized in the Qianwu Universe Kingdom,” many immortal deities realized clearly. “It seems Purple Lightning Marquis, Golden Feather Marquis, and Heiyan Marquis lack strong backing and are wary of Luo Feng causing them trouble.”

“Indeed!”

“During Luo Feng’s tenure as Inspector, the Qianwu Branch has gained another untouchable figure—Luo Feng, who can now be considered the fourth leader.”

Considering their family’s development, the immortal deities all recognized Luo Feng’s importance.

The four leaders of the Qianwu Branch descended from the stage, and the immortal deities began to enjoy the feast. Numerous attendants continuously brought forth delicacies crafted from ingredients the three leaders had transported from across the cosmos, filling the banquet hall with lively chatter and conversation.

“Golden Feather Marquis and the others have made their stance clear—they are fully supporting Luo Feng,” Silver Snow Marquis sat in a corner, smiling slightly as he nodded.

“As long as we can get Luo Feng’s help, things should be manageable,” Ji Fengyan murmured softly.

“Teacher, look over there, Boshika,” Yu Kan said.

Silver Snow Marquis turned his gaze, spotting the tall, thin man with silver bumps on his head in the distance, and coldly remarked, “Boshika? The one beside him must be ‘Hong’s’ teacher, ‘Luo.’ I never expected them to be invited to this banquet. I wonder what Golden Feather Marquis and the others were thinking!”

“Ancestor, regarding Hong and Qing Qing…” Ji Fengyan spoke softly.

“Driving that boy out of Lonyu Star or killing him is pointless,” Silver Snow Marquis said coldly. “What I need is for Qing Qing to willingly give up and forget him. As for Boshika, he wouldn’t dare provoke me. And that brat Hong… poses no threat at all. I can handle him however I see fit.”

Ji Fengyan and Yu Kan nodded.

In their eyes, Hong was as insignificant as mud—easily manipulated.

“You two stay here. I’ll go speak with Luo Feng,” Silver Snow Marquis stood.

“Yes, Ancestor (Teacher).”

Ji Fengyan and Yu Kan respectfully replied.

After rising, Silver Snow Marquis directly approached Luo Feng, who was conversing with several immortal deities.

“He’s coming!” Luo Feng caught sight of Silver Snow Marquis approaching from the corner of his eye and thought inwardly, “I haven’t gone to find him yet, but he’s come to me first.”

“Listen well!” Luo Feng transmitted his voice to a Monarch standing at the edge of the banquet hall, “When I’m chatting with Silver Snow Marquis, go to the nearby lounge and bring my elder brother into the main banquet hall. When he sees me, have him call out to me.”

“Yes, Your Highness!”

The Monarch nodded.

Moments later, the Silver Snow Marquis approached and struck up a conversation with Luo Feng. Luo Feng responded with warmth, treating the Marquis with the highest regard as he recounted his exploits and voiced his admiration. Noticing this exchange, the Monarch standing at the periphery of the banquet hall’s grand chamber brightened visibly and promptly turned toward an adjacent lounge.

He pushed the door open.

Inside the lounge, Hong was seated on the sofa.

“Hmm?” Hong turned to look at the entering Monarch.

“Mr. Hong,” the Monarch transmitted his voice, “The Prince has ordered you to enter the main banquet hall with me now. When you see the Prince, just address him as ‘Prince.'”

“I understand.” Hong nodded.

He stood and followed the Monarch out of the lounge.

Exiting the lounge, they entered the main banquet hall. Looking ahead, the luxurious feast within could bankrupt even a typical immortal deity. The great immortals gathered here were nearly all the highest echelons of the Qianwu Universe Kingdom, with only the Qianwu Sovereign above them!

“It’s him!” Ji Fengyan, who had been watching the surroundings from afar, spotted Hong at the edge of the hall and frowned. “How did that brat get here? How could he even be allowed into such an event?”

“Who?” Yu Kan asked in confusion.

“The young man over there,” Ji Fengyan whispered. “He is Hong.”

“Just him?” Yu Kan looked carefully at Hong.

Upon entering the main banquet hall, Hong carefully observed the entire space. Among the thousands gathered, the powerful waves of various laws filled the air. He quickly spotted his good brother—Luo Feng—engaged in conversation with a man in a white robe.

“Old Third!” Hong called out, his voice echoing through the hall, drawing the attention of some immortal deities.

A mere Cosmic-level brat?

The gathered immortals were puzzled.

“Speaking of it, the Zerg tide was indeed terrifying—an endless sea of creatures that filled one with dread. In that battle, of our thirty-two immortals, twenty-eight perished,” Silver Snow Marquis stood there, his eyes filled with nostalgia, recounting a fierce battle from the past to Luo Feng.

Luo Feng listened intently, almost holding his breath.

“Old Third!” a voice rang out.

“Hmm?” Luo Feng turned and smiled immediately. “Big Brother, wait a moment!”

Silver Snow Marquis, who had been speaking, paused and smiled. “Ah, your elder brother, Luo Feng? Who is it?” He turned his gaze and immediately spotted the distant figure, who was saying, “Alright, I’ll wait for you here.”

“Hmm?”

Silver Snow Marquis’s pupils narrowed as he fixed his gaze on the figure.

Is it him?

Elder brother?

Silver Snow Marquis turned to Luo Feng, who smiled and said, “That’s my elder brother, Hong! My life-and-death comrade!”

“Life-and-death comrade?”

Silver Snow Marquis’s mind immediately became chaotic. The moment he saw Hong, he recognized him. During his investigation into Ji Qing’s matter, he had reviewed Hong’s records, seen his photos, and watched videos of him. However, Silver Snow Marquis had truly been unaware of the relationship between Hong and Luo Feng.

Hong and Luo Feng being life-and-death brothers had indeed never been made public.

Back then, when they participated in the Genius Trial, they had both registered as cosmic citizens under the Black Dragon Mountain Empire. Thus, to outsiders, they were simply both from the Black Dragon Mountain Empire.

As for their personal bond…

Unless one exerted effort to investigate, it would be difficult to uncover.

“That little punk is actually Luo Feng’s elder brother, his sworn brother in life and death?” The Silver Snow Marquis frowned slightly, his mind racing with countless thoughts. As an immortal deity, he had long abandoned the use of petty schemes and stratagems, yet with the swiftness of his divine consciousness, he swiftly unraveled the threads—Luo Feng’s fervor, the presence of Boshika and Luo, and the weight of their implications.

“No wonder Boshika was invited to this banquet!”

“No wonder Luo Feng was so passionate!”

“It turns out everything is because… Hong is his elder brother!” Silver Snow Marquis looked at Luo Feng before him.

Luo Feng, however, smiled and said, “It seems my elder brother couldn’t wait. Silver Snow Marquis, regarding my elder brother and Ji Qing, I hope you won’t mind my asking. May I know what exactly happened? If you can’t tell me, then forget it.”

Silver Snow Marquis looked at Luo Feng, narrowed his eyes in thought for a moment, and then said, “Since Hong is your elder brother, I will tell you.”
