Chapter 446: Spaceship

“Grand, grand, continent?” Luo Feng stood inside the spaceship, gazing afar at an endless continent floating in the distant cosmic expanse, his eyes widening in shock.

Planets, stars, nebulae, and other celestial bodies wandering through space were nothing new. Even the occasional sight of spaceship wreckage or a living cosmic beast wouldn’t surprise him. But witnessing a vast, boundless continent amidst the stars… it was simply overwhelming!

This wasn’t the virtual universe—it was reality!

“How big is this?” Luo Feng muttered in astonishment.

The stars and planets near this colossal floating landmass were like mere specks of sesame seeds. Even as the spaceship continuously approached, it seemed the continent remained just as distant after a long flight.

“It’s millions of times larger than any planet I’ve ever seen. This is just too massive,” Luo Feng held his breath in awe.

“Your Highness, what do you think of the company’s universal headquarters?” a thin, elderly man beside him smiled.

Luo Feng asked curiously, “How big is it?”

“How big?”

The thin old man shook his head. “Without using space folding to enter the dark universe, flying from one end of the headquarters to the other by spaceship would take at least several decades.”

“Are you saying…” Luo Feng was stunned, “its diameter is around dozens of light-years?”

A light-year was more than nine trillion kilometers.

Earth’s diameter was only a little over ten thousand kilometers.

No wonder those distant stars and planets looked like tiny specks. This floating continent in space was indeed absurdly immense.

“Hmm,” the thin, silver-haired old man nodded.

“Where did such a massive land come from?” Luo Feng couldn’t help but ask. “Could the universe naturally form a continent this large?” Although the universe was mysterious and full of wonders, the birth of a continent with a diameter of dozens of light-years was still beyond comprehension.

“We don’t know,” the thin old man shook his head again.

Luo Feng stopped asking further.

Although his eyes saw the boundless continent in the distant stars, even traveling at near-light speed in an F-class spaceship, it still took about thirteen hours before they finally reached one of the entrances to the universal headquarters of the virtual universe company. During the flight, Luo Feng felt the continent was built with breathtaking beauty.

It seemed like natural cosmic scenery, but as the spaceship entered the continent, Luo Feng could sense the advanced technology hidden behind this ‘natural’ appearance.

“Your Highness, those stars, planets, asteroids, and other celestial bodies around the headquarters continent are actually extremely dangerous technological weapons,” the thin old man explained inside the luxurious spaceship hall.

“Oh?” Luo Feng nodded. “With the company’s capabilities, those stars and planets are indeed like toys to be molded at will.”

Even immortal experts could manipulate stars.

With the incomprehensible technological prowess of the Virtual Universe Company, those modified stars and planets, which even a Sovereign could recognize as weapons, were probably just for show. The real defensive trump cards of the company’s headquarters must be far more formidable.

Whoosh!

The spaceship flew at sub-light speed through the entrance channel of the continent for several minutes before finally decelerating to a stop.

Luo Feng, followed by Sovereign Sha Wu and others, flew out from the hatch.

Outside, more than ten men and women in uniforms were already waiting. As Luo Feng arrived, the leader among them, a silver-armored man with horns, stepped forward respectfully. “Prince Luo Feng, I have been ordered by the Venerable to await your arrival. Please follow me.”

“Hmm,” Luo Feng nodded.

“Sha Wu, thank you,” Luo Feng turned back to the thin old man.

Sovereign Sha Wu smiled. “It was my honor to accompany Your Highness for three years.”

With that, the two parted ways.

Luo Feng walked along this dreamlike corridor with the silver-armored horned man and others. The latter half of the corridor was transparent, allowing a clear view of the beautiful starry sky and surrounding mountainous scenery outside.

“Prince Luo Feng, Prince Luo Feng,” three people were already waiting ahead on the corridor.

“Hmm?” Luo Feng looked at them in confusion.

“Your Highness, these are the items you purchased. As per your request, they are being delivered here at the headquarters,” the three quickly presented the items.

Since Luo Feng’s three-year journey had been through the dark universe, and those three years had been spent training in the virtual universe, he hadn’t requested immediate delivery of the ‘Shadow-Gold Blade,’ ‘Void Shield,’ ‘Life Fruit,’ and ‘Lianke Fruit’ he had exchanged for with points. After all, the Muyun Vine still had food reserves. He had specified that delivery would occur upon arrival at the headquarters.

Of course, secret techniques like the ‘Phantom Codex’ had naturally been learned within the virtual universe.

“Hehe, thank you,” Luo Feng opened the items, took a quick look, and then directly stored them into his spatial ring.

In just a short while, Luo Feng was led into an oval-shaped hall. The entire hall’s surroundings and upper sections were transparent, allowing a view of the infinite starry sky above. In the distance, one could see the beautiful scenery of the headquarters, along with various spaceships and even immortal beings streaking by like meteors.

“Luofeng.”

“Crazy guy, you’re here.”

“Haha, crazy guy.”

As Luo Feng entered, many people immediately welcomed him.

“Longyun, Wuka, Jiangmo,” Luo Feng smiled and greeted each of them. During the three years of cultivation at Yuxiang Mountain, they had naturally interacted a lot with the other young recruits. Over three years, except for a few extremely solitary individuals, most had become friends, at least to the point of being able to chat and laugh together.

Perhaps many of them had once been aloof, but that aloofness stemmed from loneliness, from not encountering peers of equal caliber.

Those who had entered the top 1000 in the universal genius competition at least acknowledged each other’s strength, so forming friendships was natural.

“Rongjun hasn’t arrived yet?” Luo Feng looked around.

“He’s on his way. He’s already close to entering the headquarters,” Uka, the young man from Banka Star, said casually. “Come, sit here.”

“Hmm.”

Since they were all from the Tai Chu Region, the eight from that region generally stayed close. Looking at where people sat in the hall, one could see that the 1000 individuals had naturally formed various social groups.

“Bolan,” Luo Feng saw a white-robed youth sitting near the window and smiled as he called out.

The white-robed youth turned his head slightly. “Hmm,” he merely responded before turning back to silently gaze at the scenery outside. During the three years at Yuxiang Mountain, ‘Death God’ Bolan had always been very solitary, only occasionally interacting slightly with a few dozen others, and rarely speaking. Yet, after getting to know him, Luo Feng and others discovered that although Bolan was cold and aloof, he was actually a decent person.

“Those few from the Tai Chu Region seem quite arrogant, always sticking close to Bolan… acting like they’re so much better than us.”

“Yeah, back when we broke into the top 100, the virtual universe system directly selected 20 people from among us to determine the top ten, giving us no chance at all.”

“And after three years, each of us from the Tian Region has improved, some even making astonishing progress. I bet quite a few of us are now stronger than those from Tai Chu.”

“Let’s wait. After all, there will be opportunities for competition.”

On another side, over a dozen youths used their primal energy to shield their voices as they chatted.

They were defiant—unwilling to yield.

Ever since the virtual universe system directly selected people to determine rankings, many geniuses had felt resentment. Especially after three years of significant progress, some who previously lacked good secret techniques had exchanged for suitable ones in the virtual universe and had made tremendous improvements. They were now quite confident in their abilities.

After about six and a half hours, all 1000 individuals had gathered.

“Everyone, please follow me.”

When the 1000 young people were finally assembled, a tall, thin man with red eyes, wrapped in a simple white robe, rasped out. The faint aura he exuded caused the hearts of the 1000 youths to tremble, as if ordinary people had encountered an extremely terrifying venomous snake. After stepping out of the hall, the tall, red-eyed man immediately spread a mighty, irresistible force that enveloped all 1000 young people present.

Whoosh!

In an instant, they transformed into streaks of light, flying for several minutes before arriving at a strange spaceship parked on a lawn, where the 1000 youths were finally released.

“Hu.”

Luo Feng finally exhaled in relief. The previous feeling of cold, helpless dread had indeed been unsettling. The other geniuses around him felt the same.

“Everyone, board the spaceship,” the tall, red-eyed man said coldly.

Luo Feng looked up and saw a strange spaceship ahead.

“This is a spaceship?” Luo Feng was greatly surprised. The spaceship before him was extremely peculiar because it was shaped like a giant fish! A huge, deep-blue fish, its tail fin gently swaying. It was nearly a kilometer long. However, on the belly of this ‘fish’ spaceship, a hatch had opened, revealing corridors inside.

Stunned.

Among the 1000 geniuses, only a few seemed to know about this kind of spaceship, while the rest were all bewildered. Urged by the tall, red-eyed man, one by one they began to enter through the hatch.

“Why does it look like a fish on the outside, but inside it’s just like any other spaceship?” Luo Feng and his group walked along the corridor inside the spaceship. “F-class spaceships are all made of natural metal. The ones that brought us here carried 1000 of us and were all F-class. Now we’re heading to the Primordial Universe. This spaceship should at least be F-class too.”

Metal should be hard and durable.

Yet this spaceship looked exactly like a real fish—unbelievable.

“Idiot!”

“You don’t even know that? This is a spaceship that has integrated other life forms,” Babata’s voice rang out. “And it’s a very advanced life form—at least at the immortal level. Some special races among metal or plant-based life forms can merge with spaceships, becoming one with them. This spaceship is far superior to your teacher’s Yumo Star. If I’m not mistaken, it should be beyond F-class—it’s a G-class spaceship. In the vast universe, those who possess such spaceships are truly at the pinnacle of existence.”

“A spaceship fused with an immortal-level life form?” Before Luo Feng could fully process this, he had already entered the spaceship’s main hall with the crowd.

Inside the hall,

An invisible pressure—an overwhelming aura—silenced the thousand prodigies, rendering them speechless. Even the dozen or so immortals aboard, including the towering man with crimson eyes, bowed their heads slightly in reverence.

Luo Feng immediately spotted the frontmost figure—a man in green armor with purple scales. Though standing there, he exuded a sense of emptiness, as if he were a virtual projection rather than a real person. The purple-scaled man looked at the group of young people and said, “Departure. Head to the Primordial Universe.”

Boom~~

The fish-like spaceship swished its tail fin and instantly vanished from the spot.
