Chapter 206: Stationed at Mist Island

After the ceremony.

Within the metallic corridors of the colossal spacecraft building that housed the Global Headquarters of the Limit Martial Arts Pavilion.

The man in black, Hong, walked ahead while Luo Feng followed closely behind.

“Click!”

The metal door automatically opened, and as the two passed through, it shut again behind them.

“Luo Feng, when you first saw the headquarters of my Limit Martial Arts Pavilion, did you ever doubt whether this massive spacecraft building was a real spaceship or just a simulation?” Hong spoke. Luo Feng hesitated slightly before replying, “I had my suspicions, but only briefly.”

“I’ll tell you this—it is a real interstellar spacecraft,” Hong said.

“Really?”

Luo Feng couldn’t help but look around the corridor in astonishment. At that moment, Hong had already entered a secret chamber, with Luo Feng following closely behind.

Inside the chamber, there was only one large display screen.

“This is a damaged interstellar warship,” Hong said calmly. “When I first discovered it back then, it was already damaged and could no longer fly into space. However, even as a hollow shell, its defensive capabilities far exceed any other structure in any of Earth’s city-bases.”

“Later, when I gained enough power, I excavated it from beneath the earth.”

“To use an interstellar warship as the headquarters of my Limit Martial Arts Pavilion! Even laser cannons would be powerless against it.” Hong pointed at the screen, which immediately lit up, displaying a view of the starry cosmos. “The universe is not as simple as many Earthlings believe.”

“We humans often become arrogant.”

“We haven’t even discovered many of the animal and plant species on land, let alone the countless undiscovered species in the oceans! In other words, we still don’t fully understand Earth itself. Yet some people confidently claim that there are no other intelligent life forms in the universe—only humans. Don’t you think that’s ridiculous?” Hong turned to look at Luo Feng.

Luo Feng nodded slightly.

Indeed…

In ancient times, humans believed the Earth was flat, only later discovering it was round. Back then, people thought Earth was the center of the universe, with the sun revolving around it. Later, they gradually realized that Earth actually revolved around the sun!

Humans always think they’ve mastered everything once they understand a little.

Only later do they discover how wrong they were.

If we haven’t even fully understood many species and principles on Earth itself, how can we confidently judge the Milky Way and declare that humans are the only intelligent life in a vast expanse?

“Very hasty.”

“Very ridiculous.”

“In the endless ocean, there is still so much unexplored.”

“And the universe is unimaginably vaster than the ocean—millions, billions, trillions of times vaster? Far beyond that! Can humans, confined to Earth, truly judge the infinite universe? Isn’t that like a frog at the bottom of a well thinking the sky is no bigger than the well’s mouth?” Hong shook his head. “The civilizations and races in the universe are infinitely complex and mysterious.”

“Look at the screen, Luo Feng. This is the true classification of warriors and psychokineticists.”

Hong pointed at the screen.

Immediately, the screen displayed a detailed classification of warriors and psychokineticists: Apprentice, Stellar, Cosmic Star, and Universal levels—each level divided into nine ranks! The video on the screen also demonstrated the power of Stellar-level, Cosmic Star-level, and even Universal-level warriors.

“Heavens!” Luo Feng was completely stunned.

From the bald crystal humanoid, he had learned that Universal-level warriors were terrifying, but seeing it in a video was a completely different experience!

“Just like that, an entire city was reduced to ashes?”

“A meteor?”

“What is that—a white dwarf star?” Luo Feng stared in shock at a blazing white planet shown on the video. The footage showed two powerful warriors descending onto the surface of this white-hot planet and engaging in a deadly duel. Alongside the video, text explained that this planet’s surface gravity was three hundred million times that of Earth!

Three hundred million times gravity!

In the gravity chamber of the ancient civilization ruins at the Elite Training Camp, Luo Feng had only experienced up to 1000 times gravity. That was nothing compared to three hundred million!

Three hundred million times gravity wasn’t just a number.

Under such terrifying gravitational force, atoms themselves would be crushed. According to Earth’s scientific understanding, it would be impossible for a human to survive on a white dwarf star, let alone fight there.

“Fighting on a white dwarf star.”

“Unbelievable, isn’t it? But how much do Earth’s sciences truly understand the true mysteries of the human body? Could they even imagine that a human body contains a miniature planet? Or that a human weighing just a few hundred kilograms can deliver a punch with thousands or even tens of thousands of tons of force? Does that align with Earth’s so-called ‘science’?” Hong said calmly.

The deeper one studies, the more one realizes their own ignorance.

Luo Feng wholeheartedly agreed with that statement.

This video had completely shaken him.

No matter how many tales the bald crystalline entity had spun, none could rival the sheer awe of witnessing such footage firsthand.

“This is the only recorded video of a battle between Universal-level warriors that I’ve ever obtained,” Hong said, gazing at the screen with a hint of longing. “A Universal-level warrior can cross the universe, fight against interstellar warships with their bare bodies, and even survive on a white dwarf star. A single Universal-level warrior could wipe out all of humanity as easily as having a meal.”

“A Stellar-level warrior can barely survive in the universe, perhaps serving as a bodyguard or enforcer—just scraping by.”

“A Cosmic Star-level warrior is considered a major figure.”

“But it’s the Universal-level warriors who are the true local emperors! They can join any cosmic nation and be granted control over countless planetary territories, ruling over trillions of subjects.” Hong’s voice remained calm, but there was a faint tremor in it—almost imperceptible.

Hong turned to face Luo Feng.

Luo Feng was staring at the video, eyes burning with desire. One day, would he be able to fight under gravity three hundred million times that of Earth? According to the bald crystal humanoid, Universal-level warriors were so rare that only one might be born across countless planets.

“Luo Feng,” Hong said gravely.

“Master,” Luo Feng turned to face him.

“Your cerebral breadth is extremely high. Although I have no means to fully test it, your experience in Ruins No. 9 proved that point,” Hong said solemnly. “Your talent as a psychokineticist may not be extraordinary in the vast universe, but at least on Earth, you are the best!”

Hong stared intently at Luo Feng. “I and Thunder God are the most gifted warriors on Earth—we are the two strongest individuals. You are the most gifted psychokineticist on Earth. I hope you never become complacent. Don’t let your achievements on Earth make you arrogant.”

“In the vast universe, we humans are nothing more than primitive inhabitants of a single planet.”

“The status of Earth must be earned through our efforts!”

“And perhaps, the fate of Earth’s humanity will one day depend on us!” Hong stared at Luo Feng.

Luo Feng nodded firmly. “I understand, Master!”

At that moment, Luo Feng finally understood why Hong and Thunder God, already far superior to others, continued to strive and never relaxed their efforts.

That same day, Hong took Luo Feng aboard their intelligent fighter jets and headed for ‘Mist Island’ in the Australian continent. Although Luo Feng had received the information about his relatives from Liu Yan, his father’s health had not yet recovered, making it impossible for his parents to travel far. If his parents discovered the information, they would likely be unable to wait even a moment.

So, for now, Luo Feng decided not to show the information to his parents. He would wait until his father’s health improved. After waiting for over twenty years, he could wait another half-year.

A blood-red triangular fighter jet flew ahead, followed by a deep-blue triangular fighter jet.

Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God were all inside the blood-red triangular fighter jet.

“We’ve arrived at Mist Island,” Hong said.

Inside the cockpit, the 3D holographic projection already displayed the scenery below. Luo Feng looked down at the vast lake spanning hundreds of miles. Around it were numerous flying saucer jets, triangular fighter jets, and even some newly constructed military bases.

Luo Feng was taken aback. “Master, this is Mist Island?”

“Of course,” Hong nodded.

“But… but…” Luo Feng looked at the 3D projection of Mist Island and was shocked.

The lake of Mist Island was no longer shrouded in mist, and even the island in the center of the lake had vanished.

All that remained was a vast expanse of white water!

No mist, no central island… Was this really the Mist Island he had once visited?

“The coordinates are correct,” Luo Feng checked the coordinates on his communication watch and was even more astonished.

“Ever since I took the long-vined lifeform from Mist Island, the mist there has dissipated,” Hong explained. “As for the island itself, it was destroyed in a major battle not long ago. At least its surface was destroyed, and the deeper parts of the island have been submerged underwater.”

“Destroyed an entire island?” Luo Feng was secretly shocked.

What kind of battle could destroy an island spanning tens of miles?

It must have been at least a battle between beings as powerful as the long-vined lifeform.

“Look, Luo Feng!”

Beside him, the white-robed Thunder God pointed at the vast expanse of the lake. “This lake is very strange. It’s filled with numerous aquatic beasts, many of them powerful. And among them is a terrifying creature with thirteen long tentacles—the third ‘Beast Emperor’ we’ve discovered on Earth.”

“A Beast Emperor?” Luo Feng couldn’t believe it.

That lake…

He had once been so close to it, nearly losing his life. If there had been a ‘Beast Emperor’—a being more terrifying than a King-level beast—he wouldn’t have survived.

“This Mist Island is very unique.”

Hong also spoke seriously. “A small island that gave birth to many plant spirits, and even a terrifying being like the long-vined lifeform! Besides that, the density of aquatic beast lords in its waters is much higher than in the oceans, and there’s even a ‘Beast Emperor’ among them.”

“A long-vined lifeform, many plant spirits, and a Beast Emperor—all gathered here!”

“Almost every faction on Earth believes there must be some extraordinary treasure hidden here!”

“After all, the previous discoveries of ancient civilization ruins were nowhere near as astonishing. This one could truly shake the foundations of our world.” Hong gestured toward the shimmering 3D holographic projection of the lake. “Observe those saucer-shaped aerial crafts and the military installations encircling them—they represent the combined forces of the Five Great Powers, numerous city-state factions, and even some Councilor-level powerhouses.”

“Even around Mist Island, there are more than twenty laser cannons!” Hong turned to Luo Feng.

Luo Feng was clearly surprised.

More than twenty laser cannons capable of killing King-level beasts stationed here?

“Whoever obtains the treasure will depend on luck,” Hong instructed. “If you’re not interested, you can return. If you are interested, you can stay around Mist Island! However… I don’t have space to accommodate you. Return to your intelligent fighter jet.”

“Yes.”

Luo Feng nodded and walked toward the exit.

“Remember, if you encounter that Beast Emperor, don’t confront it directly. Use your flight speed to escape far away,” Hong reminded him before Luo Feng stepped out of the cockpit.

Jumping off the jet and landing in the endless wilderness, he looked out at the vast lake before him.

Compared to a year ago, this place had changed drastically—the once ever-present ‘mist’ was completely gone.

“Mist Island, what secrets do you truly hide that have drawn the attention of every power on Earth?” Luo Feng sighed, then turned and walked toward his deep-blue intelligent fighter jet. “With Hong and Thunder God already here, even if there really is a treasure, it’s almost impossible for me to obtain it. I’ll just watch from the sidelines for now and focus on mastering the second layer of the first form of the Void Cloud Shuttle.”

Luo Feng wasn’t greedy.

He understood his own limits. With the five major powers, various city-bases, and the two Pavilion Masters all gathered here—and even a Beast Emperor lurking within—what chance did he truly have to claim the treasure?
