Chapter 140: Outpost

“Mr. Li.” The captain of the flight personally came into the cabin.

“Hmm?” Li Yao looked at him.

The captain quickly said, “Mr. Li, tonight we still have to fly this plane from the Paris Base City to the Washington Base City in America. So we can only stay here for another half hour at most. If Mr. Li still hasn’t given us the exact landing location within half an hour, we’ll have no choice but to…”

Li Yao frowned, “I understand!”

Each aircraft was extremely expensive and considered a vital national strategic weapon. There was no way they would allow Li Yao to waste too much time!

While Li Yao was troubled, Luo Feng was feeling quite relaxed. In fact, when Li Yao went to the Paris Base City on August 1st, along with the addition of three Warlords and temporarily acquiring a laser cannon, it had consumed a lot of time. By the time Li Yao set off, it was already August 5th.

In the heart of the Australian continent.

Inside a mountain range.

“The largest monster tribe in this mountain range is the ape tribe,” Luo Feng was organizing the monster materials inside his backpack in a rather dim cave, placing them at the bottom of the pack. “Today, I’ll take down the leader of this ape tribe! Heh, no wonder this is considered one of the three perilous places. The number of monsters is indeed overwhelming, including many Monster Lords!”

It had already been the fourth day since he arrived.

Yet he had only successfully hunted one Monster Lord, and that was just a Low-Level Lord!

“No wonder people say that defeating a Monster Lord is hard, and killing one is even harder!” Luo Feng sighed helplessly. He was a powerful Mentalist, with abilities far more mysterious than those of ordinary warriors. However, in the past three days, he had already encountered eleven Monster Lords, but each one was extremely cunning.

The moment they sensed danger, they would flee!

Luo Feng’s mental power to control his flying knives had a range limit. Within fifty meters, the power was strongest, and the mental energy consumption was low. At a hundred meters, he could barely maintain maximum power, but the further distance significantly increased the mental energy consumption. Beyond that, the power dropped rapidly.

And a Monster Lord could easily leap over a hundred meters in an instant.

“Out of eleven Monster Lords attacked, only one was successfully killed.”

“And that’s only because I’m a Mentalist!”

“No wonder even Warlords complain about making money being difficult, preferring to kill High-Level Beasts rather than confront Monster Lords.” Luo Feng picked up his water pouch and took a few sips before quickly packing everything back up. He slung his backpack and shield onto his back, gripped his Blood Shadow Blade tightly, and cautiously set out.

Luo Feng leapt suddenly from the cliff of a mountain peak, covering a distance of seventy to eighty meters in one jump, landing on another mountain peak. He continued running forward, sometimes leaping, sometimes sprinting, performing seemingly impossible acrobatic movements with ease, moving through the mountains as if walking on flat ground.

“Hmm?” Luo Feng suddenly stopped, crouching on a cliff.

“I’m here.” Luo Feng clearly heard the noisy cries.

He looked down below!

The canyon below was filled with various ape-like monsters. At first glance, they were densely packed, numbering in the tens of thousands. Based on Luo Feng’s experience hunting monsters over the past few days, this ape tribe was the strongest force in the mountains. Among them, there were three Monster Lords, with the leader being a High-Level Lord!

This was undoubtedly the most powerful tribe in the mountains! Luo Feng had even named this unknown mountain range the “Ape Mountains.”

“Huh? Why isn’t the leader of the ape tribe, that High-Level Golden Ape, here today?” Luo Feng scrutinized the scene carefully. Among the countless apes in the canyon, the most striking were two massive, purple-furred apes—the pinnacle of the ape monster hierarchy, the Titan Demon Apes!

Although the Great Ape Demons ranked first among their kind, these two were merely Low-Level Lords in terms of power.

“Roar~~~” The piercing roar seemed to tear through the sky.

Instantly, the entire ape tribe became chaotic and excited.

Below, a monstrous ape, twenty meters tall and covered in golden scales, dragged a silver serpent over thirty meters long with one hand. Wherever it strode, all the ape-beasts parted ways in reverence. Even the two mighty Demon Apes rushed forth in glee, as if to curry its favor.

“Roar~~” The giant ape walked to the smooth platform at the far end and sat down heavily, tearing open the headless snake in one motion.

Splatter~~~

The snake was ripped into two halves, blood spraying everywhere, causing thousands of ape monsters to cheer excitedly.

The colossal ape casually flung aside half of the serpent’s carcass, and the two mighty demonic apes beside it immediately fell upon the feast with glee. Meanwhile, the giant ape itself sat contentedly, tearing into the snake with savage delight, letting the blood cascade freely over its scaled armor without a single care.

“It’s actually that Silver Electric Snake!”

“I couldn’t slay it, yet this Golden Ape did.” Concealed upon the cliffside, Luo Feng gazed in stunned disbelief.

The Silver Electric Serpent, a Lesser Demon Sovereign, was among the eleven Demon Sovereigns Luo Feng had previously battled. Yet, the serpent proved too cunning, and with its numerous minions harrying Luo Feng, he had failed to deliver the killing blow. To his surprise, it was ultimately slain by this Greater Golden Ape.

“I must make him think I’m just an ordinary warrior at first, so I can catch him off guard.” Luo Feng thought to himself.

The Golden Ape ranked second among the monstrous apes.

In truth, the ape monsters were primarily categorized into two distinct breeds: the fur-clad and the scale-armored. Among the furred apes, the Colossal Demon Apes reigned supreme, while the scaled variants were dominated by the Adamantine Apes! When pitted against each other at equal tiers, the Colossal Demon Apes held a slight edge over their Adamantine counterparts.

But this High-Level Golden Ape possessed immense strength, astonishing speed, and formidable defenses.

He was not an easy opponent!

“My trump card is my mental power controlling the flying knives to kill him.”

“But if I wound him without killing him, he will sense danger and flee immediately. Once he escapes, I definitely won’t be able to catch him.” Luo Feng was well aware that he only had one chance!

If he failed to slay the Golden Ape on his first strike, the beast would grant him no second chance.

In the canyon, countless ape monsters roared in a deafening cacophony, and the three ape lords were feasting on the flesh of the Silver Electric Snake Lord.

Suddenly—

A black figure shot down from the sky like a panther, landing directly on one of the ape monsters with a stomp. With a bang, the monster’s body exploded, scattering blood and flesh everywhere. Using the force of this powerful stomp, Luo Feng shot like lightning toward the central area of the ape tribe!

There were three Monster Lords there!

“Roar~~~” “Roar~~~”

The two Great Strength Demonic Apes roared in fury. Instantly, countless lower-tier ape monsters beneath them—including many more at the Beast Captain and Beast Soldier levels—charged toward Luo Feng.

“Get out of my way!”

Luo Feng’s eyes blazed like lightning, his body moving like the wind as he advanced rapidly.

In an instant, his Blood Shadow Blade transformed into a bolt of lightning, slashing through the air with each strike. One by one, the ape monsters were sliced apart, their blood flying and bodies scattering. In the Trial Tower, Luo Feng had faced off against hordes of monsters of equal strength and held his ground. Now, against these weaker Beast Captains and Beast Soldiers, he was unstoppable.

Wherever he passed, blood and carnage followed.

Blood stained his combat suit as Luo Feng stomped on an ape’s back and leapt toward the center.

“Roar~~”

At the heart of the platform, the King Kong Ape Lord nonchalantly seized a nearby boulder and hurled it directly toward Luo Feng!

Boom!

The boulder, nearly a meter in diameter, was hurled by the colossal hand of the Golden Ape like a cannonball, arriving before Luo Feng’s face in an instant. The sheer force of the projectile made the surrounding air shudder violently. Under normal circumstances, Luo Feng could have deflected the massive stone mid-flight with his psychic energy, causing it to veer off course!

But Luo Feng didn’t want to reveal his mental power!

“Ha!” Luo Feng crouched mid-air and tilted his shield sideways.

The rock grazed the shield and veered off.

Luo Feng then landed among the ape monsters below. As soon as he touched down, a storm of blood erupted. In an instant, he slaughtered more than ten ape monsters around him, then quickly darted onto the central platform.

“Boom!” “Boom!” “Boom!”

Gigantic boulders hurtled through the air in rapid succession, hurled by the mighty King Kong Ape.

Luo Feng displayed his Perfect-level footwork, moving like a wisp of smoke. He dodged two of the rocks with a slight sway on the platform and blocked the third with a deft maneuver.

“Whoosh!”

The air violently trembled, even producing visible shockwaves!

“Fist!”

As Luo Feng barely evaded the third boulder, a colossal, golden-scaled fist surged toward his face. In a flash, the Golden Ape—seated just moments before—had lunged forward, unleashing a lightning-quick punch aimed straight at Luo Feng’s skull, its movement a blur of terrifying speed!

The Golden Ape’s eyes were filled with icy disdain!

Humans?

He hadn’t killed a human in a long time, but for all monster elites, humans were a common enemy. He was confident that this well-timed punch would catch the human at a critical moment, leaving him no time to dodge and forcing him to take the hit head-on.

But…

Even a supreme Battle God would balk at facing such a strike head-on! Should this mortal attempt to parry, his very bones would turn to dust and his innards would be pulverized!

“I’ve been waiting for you. You came right on time!” Facing the punch, Luo Feng actually laughed out loud.

Whoosh! His figure strangely wavered like a leaf in the wind.

Unable to find purchase in the empty sky, he evaded the King Kong Ape Lord’s devastating strike with an uncanny, ghostly drift!

“What?!” The King Kong Ape Lord was stunned. How could this mere human evade his attack?

Could he be one of the most special humans…

Before the Lord of the Golden Ape could react, Luo Feng had already utilized his psychic energy to evade—

Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!

Six black throwing knives!

Two SS-grade knives and four 9-series knives!

Six bolts of lightning!

They charged ahead! Their aim: the King Kong Ape Lord’s skull!

“Ga!” The Golden Ape Lord’s eyes widened in shock. His right fist, which had been poised to strike Luo Feng, abruptly unfurled into a massive palm, sweeping toward Luo Feng with tremendous force. Simultaneously, his left hand flickered defensively before his face as his body pivoted slightly to the side!

Puh! Puh! Puh! Three knives struck his left hand, only piercing the surface, leaving a slight golden-red trail of blood on his palm.

Puh! Puh!

Two blades struck the face of the Golden Ape. One managed to sink halfway before its advance was halted by the creature’s dense facial muscles. The other merely grazed the scalp before clashing against the impenetrable hardness of its skull.

Puh!

The final blade skimmed past the King Kong Ape’s throat, carving a deep gash. Blood erupted like a geyser, sending the Ape Lord into a thunderous, earth-shaking roar of pure fury!
