Chapter 1394: The Deadly Trap of the Purple Moon Holy Land

Inside the Dong Army camp, at the Mahe Army’s base.

Luo Feng was leisurely flying over the lake, heading directly toward his own island.

“Look, there’s Yinhe.”

“That’s Yinhe? I heard even the captain of your Sixth Squad fears Yinhe a little?”

On an island below Luo Feng, two soldiers were conversing, looking up as Luo Feng flew past.

Soldier Yinhe had returned to the camp, and this quickly spread within the Third Squad of the First Battalion of the Mahe Army.

“Has Yinhe from your Sixth Squad returned to the camp?”

“A friend of mine has long heard of his reputation and would love to meet him.”

A red-faced soldier from the Third Squad of the First Battalion of the Mahe Army made a quick round and soon learned of Yinhe’s return. After all, soldiers couldn’t spend all their time in the camp cultivating; making friends, sparring, and so forth were also crucial, especially for soldiers with great reputations in special regiments who often attracted many strong warriors wanting to befriend them, because such soldiers had a high probability of becoming Void True Gods.

The red-faced soldier soon left the Mahe Army camp and headed to the base of another special regiment.

“Chengmu! Chengmu!”

The red-faced soldier looked down at a forest below and directly projected his divine power to transmit his voice.

From within a massive wooden house constructed entirely from thick ancient trees, a four-armed, two-faced man flew out. Dressed in cyan battle armor, he looked up and smiled, saying, “Quhua, I was just about to go find you. I’ve just prepared a delicious dish, come taste it.”

“Chengmu,” the red-faced soldier dove downward, “you’ve always wanted to meet Yinhe from our Mahe Army, right?”

“Yes,” the man in cyan armor replied eagerly, “has he returned to the camp?”

“Yeah, just recently,” the red-faced soldier smiled.

The man in cyan armor showed delight on his face. “I’ve long wanted to meet him, but nothing is more important than ‘eating.'”

“Alright, alright,” the red-faced soldier was clearly looking forward to it.

Within the universe of the Zhiyue Holy Land in the Cosmic Sea.

Inside the grand hall.

The Zhiyue Ancestor sat silently with his eyes closed, as if he could remain seated for endless eons.

Below him sat numerous figures in meditation, either divine fragments or divine power avatars, all of them Universe Lords who had entered the ‘Jin World.’ Suddenly, one of them, a four-armed, two-faced man, opened his eyes and stood up abruptly.

“Ancestor!” the man in blue robes respectfully addressed, “I have received news that Soldier Yinhe has just returned to the Dong Army camp and is currently in the Mahe Army’s base.” At his words, all the other Universe Lords present opened their eyes in astonishment.

“Hmm?”

The Zhiyue Ancestor seated above opened his eyes, a glint of coldness flashing in his gaze as he looked down. “If that’s the case, then everyone, take action.”

“Yes, Ancestor.”

All the Universe Lords below respectfully responded in unison.

Inside the Dong Army camp in the Jin World.

The Universe Lords from the Zhiyue Holy Land who had joined the Dong Army began to take action.

Within the universe of the Zhiyue Holy Land.

“Ancestor, confirmation: Luo Feng is indeed at the Mahe Army base.”

“Ancestor, we have already stationed ourselves at the wormhole teleportation point outside the camp. As soon as he comes out, we will know immediately.”

“Ancestor…”

Some of the Universe Lords below reported one after another.

“Good,” the Zhiyue Ancestor looked down, nodding in satisfaction. “Now that Luo Feng has entered the Dong Army camp, when we strike, we must kill him decisively. Chengmu… it’s up to you.”

“Rest assured, Ancestor,” Chengmu respectfully replied.

The Zhiyue Ancestor nodded silently, thinking to himself, “Luo Feng… even if you have obtained the inheritance of the legendary Dandonghe lineage, what can you do? The old man Dongdi is not worthy to contend with me, and you, you won’t have the chance to contend with me either! No matter how talented one is, once they are dead, they are just a fool.”

In the Jin World, at the Dong Army camp, within the vast forest that was the base of the special regiment ‘Guhou Army.’

“It’s truly delicious. I’ve never eaten anything so good back in my tribe. If I could eat like this often, I’d rather spend half my cultivation time eating.” The red-faced soldier joyfully transformed into a streak of light and flew away. “Chengmu, next time you create something delicious, you’ve got to call me again.”

“Definitely,” Chengmu said with a smile, looking up.

After the red-faced soldier left, Chengmu’s expression turned serious.

“Is it time to initiate the killing plan?” Chengmu felt an invisible pressure. As a Universe Lord in a special regiment, the Zhiyue Ancestor had entrusted him with this heavy responsibility.

“I’ve abandoned all my future in the Jin World just to have you, Luo Feng, die. You should feel proud.” Chengmu harbored resentment in his heart. He had long been familiar with the three most dangerous places in the Cosmic Sea, yet upon entering the Jin World, he had been completely captivated by it.

He really didn’t want to leave.

But once the killing plan was set in motion, Chengmu would never have the chance to return to the Jin World again.

“It’s time to begin.” Without further hesitation, Chengmu transformed into a streak of light and flew out.

This vast forest was the base of the Guhou Army.

The Guhou Army was divided into two major parts: one consisting of Law Lords, and the other of True Gods, with the two groups completely separated.

At the center of the entire camp stood a towering temple, guarded by several sentries. This temple was where the commander of the Guhou Army resided. In the military… those who could serve as commanders of special regiments were all Void True Gods. If they were outside, they would be local overlords.

“Halt.”

“Stop, this is the commander’s residence, unauthorized entry is forbidden.”

There were six guards in front of the temple, including two True God guards and four Law Lord guards.

Chengmu descended and quickly said, “I have urgent matters to report to the commander.”

“Soldier,” one of the True God guards shouted, “do you think the commander is someone you can easily meet? Leave immediately.”

“I really have urgent matters to report to the commander,” Chengmu urgently replied.

Seeing this, the two True God guards exchanged glances, hesitating slightly, after all, the one who came to report was also a soldier of their Guhou Army.

“Let him in,” a cold voice sounded.

“Yes, Commander,” the two True God guards standing outside the palace replied.

“Go inside,” the True God guards looked at Chengmu.

Chengmu finally exhaled in relief and quickly entered the temple.

Inside the temple, it was like a maze, with winding corridors and rooms everywhere. Chengmu could only follow the fluctuation of energy to proceed.

After walking for a while…

Chengmu came upon a garden filled with countless beautiful flowers. In the garden stood a beautiful woman with nine tails made of green feathers with hints of gold, and her head was adorned with beautiful feathers. Her appearance was so stunning that Chengmu instantly held his breath.

“Is she the legendary Guhou?” Chengmu thought to himself.

The Guhou Army was founded by this ‘Guhou.’ Among the many special regiments, those who could establish a special regiment were naturally all Void True Gods. However, over long periods of time, some Void True Gods might break through to become Eternal True Gods, and naturally, a new Void True God would take over their position. But breaking through was extremely difficult, and more Void True Gods remained in their commander positions.

Such was the case with Guhou.

“Chengmu pays respects to the commander,” Chengmu respectfully bowed.

“You came to see me, what urgent matter do you have?” Guhou’s emerald eyes glanced at Chengmu, “If you can’t explain it as urgent, I will deal with you according to military law and feed you to my children.”

Chengmu was not the least bit intimidated and immediately said, “Reporting to the commander, I accidentally discovered a great secret.”

“A great secret?” Guhou remained casual.

“That soldier Yinhe from the Sixth Squad of the First Battalion of the Mahe Army, he is actually an infiltrator from an external force in the outside world entering our Jin World,” Chengmu urgently continued, “When I found out, I was afraid of being silenced, so I dared not expose it. Only after returning to the camp did I dare to come and report to the commander.”

“An outsider entering our Jin World?” Guhou’s eyes suddenly radiated terrifying killing intent.

Every life within the Jin World was absolutely loyal to it and utterly hostile to any life from the outside.

“Are you not deceiving me?” Guhou stared at Chengmu, “It has been a very, very long time since any life from the outside entered our Jin World.”

“I would never dare to deceive the commander. How could I dare to lie about such a matter?” Chengmu replied.

Guhou stared at him, “Do you have any evidence?”

“I…” Chengmu became anxious, “I saw it with my own eyes, but what evidence could I have?”

“Just your word, and I should go investigate that soldier Yinhe?” Guhou coldly said. Though she spoke thus, she was beginning to doubt. Even if this soldier Chengmu under her command lied, it wouldn’t be such an absurd lie, so it might actually be true. In any case, she should find time to verify it.

“I, I…”

Chengmu was anxious, “Commander, what I saw was with my own eyes.”

“Hmph,” Guhou snorted coldly, “I’ll forgive you this time. Leave now!”

Chengmu gritted his teeth, his expression turning desperate, “What I saw was with my own eyes. He is an outsider. If you, Commander, use illusion techniques to trap him in an illusion, naturally he will reveal everything. If what I say is false and he denies being from the outside while under the illusion, I am willing to die!”

“Illusion techniques?” Guhou said impatiently, “I don’t need you to tell me what to do. Leave now!”

“Commander! What I say is absolutely true! Letting him live is a threat to our Jin World!” Chengmu was so anxious his eyes bulged, “I am willing to prove it with my life!”

Boom!

Chengmu exploded violently, his divine power completely annihilated, turning him into nothingness.

Guhou was startled at the sight, “Self-destruction? He actually proved his words with his life! I never thought this soldier could be so loyal.” Over the long years, she had seen many upright soldiers, many of whom had proven their words with their lives, but it was the first time someone had self-destructed in front of her.

“What a loyal and upright soldier, what a pity,” Guhou sighed, shaking her head, then her emerald eyes flickered with light, “Could it be that an outsider has truly entered our Jin World?”

Swoosh.

Guhou vanished into thin air.
