Chapter 1225: The Rules

The tomb-ship, within its silent corridors, had numerous three-dimensional illusions emitting colorful lights.

Luo Feng, Master Luchong, Master Wuliang, and Master Ying’ai began approaching these three-dimensional illusions. Standing before the stone pillars, their eyes gleamed with excitement as their divine powers seeped into the illusions, observing and studying them.

“Though my cultivation time exceeds theirs, my consciousness operation speed is likely faster than all of them,” Master Luchong thought inwardly. Master Ying’ai and Master Wuliang, as well as Luo Feng, remained silent, yet the intense hostility and competition among them was palpable, for they were the first batch to arrive for this inheritance.

The four of them had the highest chance.

Inside the pocket universe of the Creator of the Giant Axe, within one of its independent worlds:

Surrounding a landmass were endless whirlwinds and black gaseous flows, resembling a world of destruction.

Luo Feng sat cross-legged atop a mountain peak, gazing at the distant whirlwinds of destruction. Yet, his fingers pointed remotely into the void, and his divine power seeped through, rapidly sketching an extremely complex three-dimensional illusion in midair.

“How marvelous and intricate this Rhinoceros Emperor Formation is!”

“I’ve pondered for a while, yet I feel utterly confused. What are the basic rules of this Rhinoceros Emperor Formation?” From childhood to adulthood, Luo Feng had never devoted himself so fully to a game. In his Earth days, he had always aimed to improve his parents’ life, and after becoming a warrior, he had never allowed himself to slack off.

Yet now, standing among the true peaks of the Primordial Universe, he was studying one of the most popular games of the ancient civilization.

Luo Feng was filled with curiosity about this popular game of the ancient powerful civilization, as it could test one’s insight… and even enhance it.

“What are the actual rules of this game?” Luo Feng studied carefully. Although he had just begun studying it on the tomb-ship, he had already spent over a day here with ten thousand times time acceleration. With his consciousness calculation speed, even a spaceship’s structure could be quickly deciphered.

Yet, he still couldn’t figure out the game’s most basic rules.

“There are 123 solution formations?”

“123 residual formations, 123 solution formations… each corresponding to one another…”

“Light…”

“Form…”

Luo Feng continued his research.

He sat here for over three years, continuously muttering, continuously practicing with divine power.

“I finally understand the rules,” Luo Feng finally smiled.

“The Rhinoceros Emperor Formation.”

“It is a three-dimensional game layout, similar to a complex secret pattern diagram.”

“1. Divided into 10,081 basic elements!”

“2. In each miniature three-dimensional diagram, each basic element can only appear once on each line.”

“3. Each basic element changes the miniature three-dimensional diagram, making it almost infinitely variable. In each array, the miniature three-dimensional diagrams absolutely cannot be identical.”

“4. …”

“5. …”

“9. The three-dimensional illusion formed by the final solution, constructed with strands of divine power, creates a perfect cycle, an eternal energy cycle, indestructible and imperishable.”

Nine rules.

Extremely complex.

According to the level of complexity, even the consciousness of a Cosmic Sovereign could not forcibly memorize the positions of each ‘basic element.’ Countless basic elements form a miniature three-dimensional diagram, countless miniature diagrams form a small three-dimensional diagram… countless small diagrams form a medium three-dimensional diagram… countless medium diagrams finally become a three-dimensional illusion.

Forced memorization was impossible even for a Cosmic Sovereign!

One must understand the subtleties of the formation.

Just as when casting a secret technique, one must truly understand its subtleties to perform it, for its complexity has already surpassed the limits of forced memorization.

“Unbelievable,” Luo Feng exclaimed in awe. “Such intricate principles, yet each formation actually achieves complete indestructibility and perpetual energy circulation without consuming the slightest bit of energy? Absolutely astonishing… Even my own microcosmic secret pattern array can’t accomplish perfect energy cycling. Truly remarkable…”

“The first Rhinoceros Emperor Formation may not be as profound as the ‘Microcosmic Secret Pattern Diagram,’ but its indestructibility and eternal energy cycling qualify it as perfect!”

“Rhinoceros Emperor, truly worthy of being revered by Dandonghe Wu.”

“To create such an unfathomably profound game,” Luo Feng was thrilled.

Once he understood the rules, studying the Rhinoceros Emperor Formation became significantly easier, and he immediately felt the game’s astonishing appeal.

Luo Feng became deeply engrossed.

Interesting.

Challenging.

Rewarding.

Luo Feng increasingly admired the Rhinoceros Emperor for creating such a game. Knowing the rules, the game also demanded an extremely high consciousness operation speed, likely requiring at least an ‘Immortal God’ to truly immerse and study, while those of lower strength couldn’t even begin to research it.

“Dandonghe said that in the ancient civilization, from the young to the highest beings, all enjoyed playing this game.”

“Could it be that even the young children in their ancient civilization could become Immortal Gods?” Luo Feng briefly considered this thought, then dismissed it, immersing himself again in studying the Rhinoceros Emperor Formation.

Master Luchong, Master Ying’ai, Master Wuliang, and Luo Feng stood there, watching the three-dimensional illusions.

“Ying’ai, Ying’ai, I’ve discovered the game rules,” Master Wuliang transmitted.

“What rules?” Master Ying’ai was delighted. “This damned Rhinoceros Emperor game, even with ten thousand times time acceleration, I’ve studied it for so long and still haven’t figured out the rules.”

“The rules are…” Master Wuliang quickly explained.

“Yes, yes, hahaha, so that’s how it is. Before, I felt my summary couldn’t fully explain the subtleties of these three-dimensional illusions. This is the real rule. The miniature three-dimensional diagrams are this complex,” Master Ying’ai was delighted. “Wuliang, now that we both know the rules, I wonder if Luchong and that Milky Way guy have figured it out.”

They both glanced at Luo Feng and Master Luchong.

Master Luchong and Luo Feng stood like statues, motionless.

“Never mind them. We can communicate and study together, cross-referencing our formations. We have the advantage over them,” Master Wuliang said.

“Yes, when the Second Venerable arrives and more of our clansmen come, we’ll have a better chance,” Master Ying’ai said, filled with anticipation.

The Three Samsara Eras and the Two Holy Universes, almost all factions of experts were heading toward the Cosmic Boat.

Yet the first to arrive were the relatively weaker Tianzhong Clan from the First Samsara Era.

“Boom!”

Moving at speeds exceeding a hundred thousand times the speed of light.

A streak of afterimage rampaged through the Yenbing Domain void, advancing at an incredibly terrifying speed, soon approaching the tomb-ship. The Hainz Clan guarding the ship’s entrance—Master Lihai, Master Chilou, and the silent Master Yangu—looked out far, filled with apprehension.

“It’s a Cosmic Overlord!” All three had the same thought.

Whoosh!

The afterimage quickly decelerated but still arrogantly stopped right at the entrance, scaring Master Lihai, Master Chilou, and Master Yangu to retreat.

“Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign?” The three masters looked outside.

At the entrance’s midair, a black bell shadow hovered, then the shadow dissipated, revealing a strange old man exuding a sinister aura, with long hair adorned with countless tiny black bells. Even his eyebrows and skin had small bells.

While flying, faint bell sounds could be heard.

This was the characteristic of the Tianzhong Clan.

“Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign.” The three masters respectfully bowed.

“Haha, Hainz Clan, this time I must thank you for delivering the message,” Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign laughed. “Coincidentally, I was deep within the Cosmic Boat’s inner domain and immediately found three of our clan’s experts also in the inner domain, so we came.”

Three auras appeared out of nowhere.

Three Tianzhong Clan experts appeared at the entrance.

“Quickly head to the control room,” Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign ordered, then looked at Master Lihai. “You Hainz Clan should know the way, right?”

“Of course, of course.” Master Lihai quickly replied, “Here is the map.”

A strand of divine power flew out of his body, rapidly forming a complex map in midair, directly sketching the route to the control room’s core hall. The route was simple… a quick sketch made it easily understandable.

“Good.” Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign nodded in satisfaction.

“Then let’s go.”

Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign looked at the three Tianzhong Clan Cosmic Sovereigns, speaking in a low tone, “Our hopes as the Tianzhong Clan rest on you all.”

“Yes.”

“Yes.”

“We will give our all, until our deaths.”

The three Cosmic Sovereigns similarly showed excitement, then transformed into three streaks of light, rapidly flying toward the control room hall.

Half a year later.

At the tomb-ship’s entrance.

“Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign, you dare block this entrance, preventing us from entering! Is your Tianzhong Clan seeking war with our First Ancestor God Religion?”

“Move aside.”

“Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign!”

Outside the entrance, six Cosmic Sovereigns had already gathered, all originally near the dangerous areas around the Yenbing Domain and had rushed here immediately upon receiving the news. However, Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign, considering his clan’s interests, naturally wanted other experts to enter as late as possible.

“Hmph.” Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign stood there coldly, completely ignoring them.

Boom!

A dazzling powerful aura suddenly tore through space-time, directly piercing through.

The Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign blocking the entrance immediately changed expression, looking far away: “Such a strong aura, this, this, which Cosmic Overlord is this? I’ve never seen him before?”

Peng!!!

A streak of light directly rushed into the entrance.

Frightened, Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign dared not resist, as he could clearly judge that the opponent’s palace treasure was a supreme treasure. Accompanied by a thunderous sound, the powerful aura spread.

An old man in a white robe, surrounded by vines and green leaves, descended, scanning the surroundings with a glance at Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign.

“Who are you…” Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign frowned. “From the Eastern Emperor Holy Universe?”

“Hmph.”

The white-robed old man ignored Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign, waving his hand, and suddenly the entire wide corridor chamber was filled with countless figures—20 Cosmic Sovereigns, 200 Cosmic Honored Ones, 2000 Immortal Gods.

“Go, seize the inheritance for our Eastern Emperor Holy Universe,” the white-robed old man ordered.

“Yes.”

The 2000+ experts surged in. The Hainz Clan had long given the Eastern Emperor Holy Universe a simple map of the tomb-ship to curry favor.

“I, Beizhen, have not roamed the Cosmic Sea for over ten samsara eras,” the white-robed old man scanned Shadow Bell Demon Sovereign and others coldly. “Since the Purple Moon Holy Universe and other factions have not arrived yet, they won’t be getting in.”

“Boom!”

The white-robed old man waved his hand.

A dazzling black giant sphere directly blocked the entrance.

“I, Beizhen, am here. Let’s see who dares to enter?” The white-robed old man took a step forward, directly merging into the dazzling black sphere.
