Chapter 1027: Flame Emperor

In ancient times, Emperor Yan led his Flame God Clan away from the human race and settled in a remote, secret realm in a distant corner of the universe, far from human territories. Over countless eons, the Flame God Clan grew even stronger. Combined with Emperor Yan’s unrivaled power across the cosmos, no one dared to provoke them.

Although the Flame God Clan was separated from human territories by an immense distance, they still frequently entered the “Domain Battlefield,” joining other factions to fight against humanity.

“The fragments of warrior armor and general armor I obtained back then were all found in the debris left by war,” Luo Feng stood on the deck of the ancient Milky Way ship, gazing into the boundless void of the universe. “The Flame God Clan had already separated from the human race, yet they still ally with one of the insect, demon, or mechanical races to continue fighting against humanity. It seems they harbor deep enmity toward humans!”

Logically, the Flame God Clan had originally been part of the human race.

Even after their departure, there was no need to continue hostilities.

Yet, whether it was the information Luo Feng had accessed in the virtual universe or the fragments of warrior and general armor he had scavenged from the battlefield debris, all indicated that the Flame God Clan and the human race were in an adversarial relationship.

“Emperor Yan was once my teacher’s disciple who became a Cosmic Sovereign, and he wields two powerful treasures—the Flame God Halberd and Yuanhun. He must be far stronger than that Wolfstar Sovereign.”

“But since he dared to leave the human race, he probably wouldn’t dare defy Master S mountain guest.”

Luo Feng mused inwardly.

Whoosh!

With a wave of Luo Feng’s hand, the ancient Milky Way ship rapidly shrank to the size of a jujube pit and landed in his palm.

“It’s time to pay a visit to my second senior apprentice-brother,” Luo Feng said, activating teleportation in the cosmic void as he approached the Flame God Clan’s stronghold.

The Flame God Clan resided on three vast and expansive continents.

Among these three continents, the smallest had a diameter exceeding one light-year, while the largest was approximately three light-years across. These three continents revolved around each other. In the central void where the three continents orbited, there floated a majestic palace complex. Surrounding the palace complex were endless flames—black, purple, white, green, blue, and more—each color swirling around.

Countless immortal warriors marched along corridors and courtyards, occasionally glancing toward the highest main hall at the center of the palace complex with deep reverence in their eyes.

Flame God Clan warriors were all tall and robust. The shortest among them stood at least eight meters tall, while the taller ones reached ten meters. Their skin was covered with scales, and a curved horn protruded from their forehead. Their hands and feet resembled those of Earthlings, though much thicker, with scales also growing on the backs of their hands. A savage aura radiated from them.

Inside the highest main hall of the palace complex, which floated in the void at the center of the three Flame God Clan continents, a towering figure sat high upon a throne.

This figure was nearly ten thousand kilometers tall. The air expelled from his nostrils caused the surrounding void to ignite. His black horn pierced the heavens. His body was covered in densely packed black scales. As he lightly tapped the armrest with his fingers, his eyes, like they could pierce through the void, gazed into the distant expanse, spotting Luo Feng’s approaching figure.

“His aura is quite strong.”

“A guest has arrived at my Flame God Clan’s secret realm.”

The towering figure murmured softly.

He was a Cosmic Sovereign. While ordinary Cosmic Lords could sense spatial fluctuations from extremely far distances, a Cosmic Sovereign who fully controlled space-time could perceive all spatial fluctuations within a radius of tens of millions of light-years. Moreover, if he wished, space-time itself became his sensory extensions, continuously reaching out and probing.

“Let me see who this guest is,” the towering figure said, his eyes peering afar, following the transmission of space-time, breaking through layers of spatial obstructions.

In the distant void, a young man with black hair was rapidly approaching.

Boom!

The towering figure on the throne suddenly radiated a powerful aura, causing the surrounding space to tremble.

“Third junior apprentice-brother,” the towering figure said softly, “Knowing you had become an immortal, I guessed you would come. You’ve finally arrived.”

“Choosing to become a disciple of Zhenyan, and of the Chaos City Lord, third junior apprentice-brother, why do you entangle yourself so deeply with the human race?” the towering figure continued softly. “Have you forgotten how your home planet, Earth, was seized by the humans? Don’t you know that their kindness toward you is merely to manipulate you into fighting and dying for them?”

“I’m sorry.”

“I will not allow the ‘Jia Jia’—this supreme treasure—to be used by the human race,” the towering figure said with a faint smile. “Without Master S mountain guest’s command, you probably would never have had any hope of obtaining the Jia Jia.”

“Master S mountain guest!” Emperor Yan’s eyes flickered with a trace of apprehension.

The higher one ascended, the more terrifying S mountain guest seemed.

S mountain guest had given him ‘Yuanhun,’ ‘Flame God Halberd,’ and ‘Jia Jia.’ The Jia Jia was temporarily placed under his custody. Logically, having three supreme treasures after becoming a Cosmic Sovereign should have made him fearless. He was unafraid of the Chaos City Lord, Monto Sovereign, and others. Although the strongest Cosmic Sovereigns could suppress him, they couldn’t kill him.

Only…

The Cosmic Supreme Beings!

Reaching the rank of Cosmic Supreme Being, each of them possessed immense power. Their words could alter laws and fully control certain areas. However, due to suppression by the universe’s operational laws, their displayed strength was only slightly greater than that of Cosmic Sovereigns like the Chaos City Lord or Monto Sovereign.

“That Originator Axe Creator, because of his ties to the human race, dares not provoke me.”

“But Master S mountain guest is famous for his endless schemes and is notoriously difficult to deal with. Those who provoke him have all suffered greatly,” Emperor Yan narrowed his eyes, a glint of coldness flashing within. “Moreover, he acts alone, with no attachments… He knows almost all of my hidden cards. If we were to fight…”

If Emperor Yan had any fears in the universe, it was only of S mountain guest!

“Besides, I still haven’t fully mastered the Jia Jia,” Emperor Yan said, stroking his arm. On the surface of his scaled skin, a transparent armor surfaced. The armor bore complex mystical patterns that continuously shifted, ever-changing and profoundly intricate. “Master S mountain guest’s ability to create treasures is unparalleled in the cosmos. This Jia Jia was created specifically for third junior apprentice-brother. Other powerhouses cannot attune to it. Although I can attune to it, I can only activate a portion of its power.”

Like the Tower Pearl…

Whoever attunes to it dies!

Although the Jia Jia wasn’t that extreme, other powerhouses couldn’t use it at all. Even Emperor Yan could only utilize a fraction of its power.

“Although I can only use a portion of its power, it still surpasses many other top-tier treasures,” Emperor Yan said, stroking the emerging transparent armor and gazing into the distant void at the approaching figure. Gradually, a faint smile appeared on his face. “Third junior apprentice-brother, if you can reach my presence and see me, naturally I must follow Master S mountain guest’s command and cannot refuse.”

“But the prerequisite is… you must see me, or at least arrive at my Flame God Clan’s territory!” Emperor Yan said softly.

As long as Luo Feng arrived and delivered his message to some of the Flame God Clan’s immortal deities, Emperor Yan couldn’t feign ignorance anymore.

But if Luo Feng hadn’t even reached the Flame God Clan’s stronghold or met any of their high-ranking members, Emperor Yan could still pretend he didn’t know.

“Hmph, wanting to obtain the Jia Jia?”

“Wait until you become a Cosmic Lord. With your current strength, you won’t be able to reach the heart of my Flame God Clan!” Emperor Yan roared as his towering figure stood up, descended from the throne, walked outside the palace, and gazed into the boundless void.

Emperor Yan clearly understood Master S mountain guest’s temperament. What he was doing was entirely within Master S mountain guest’s tolerance.

“Seal it!”

Emperor Yan said softly.

Instantly, centered on the main hall, waves spread outward in all directions, locking spatial fluctuations across a radius of hundreds of light-years.

“Although my Flame God Clan’s spatial coordinates have already been concealed, to prevent any contingencies, I’ll add a few more measures. Even if you invite the Chaos City Lord to break them, it won’t be easy to dismantle them in the short term,” Emperor Yan smiled faintly, his divine body moving at the speed of light as he entered the dark universe to begin his manipulations.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Luo Feng repeatedly teleported, drawing closer to the Flame God Clan’s stronghold.

“Almost there!” Luo Feng grew increasingly eager.

“Hmm?” Suddenly, Luo Feng stopped, frowning at the void ahead. Floating in the void were fragments of shattered stars. “Spatial fluctuations are completely sealed? What’s going on?”

“I remember that in the Ancestral God Religion’s stronghold, within the Five-Color Aurora Lake, teleportation is impossible. Only specific areas like the Purple Thorn Island permit teleportation. Similarly, some crucial locations within the human race’s original secret realms also restrict teleportation,” Luo Feng pondered. “Could it be that the Flame God Clan operates the same way, making hundreds of light-years around their territory inaccessible to teleportation?”

With the means of a Cosmic Sovereign, carving laws and inscriptions onto massive special structures and then activating them with crystals like the Flame God Source Crystals, it was entirely possible to maintain a long-term ‘spatial lock.’ Alternatively, it could be achieved through certain treasures.

“But then, wouldn’t the Flame God Clan members themselves be unable to teleport?” Luo Feng frowned. “Or is my second senior apprentice-brother deliberately sealing the space?”

“Not good!”

Luo Feng’s expression changed suddenly. He immediately flapped his wings from behind, streaking like a shooting star, rapidly accelerating to light speed and directly entering the dark universe.

Flying through the dark universe, Luo Feng quickly reached the theoretical location of the Flame God Clan’s stronghold.

“Where are the coordinates?”

“Where are the dark universe coordinates corresponding to the Flame God Clan’s three continents?” Luo Feng held a coordinate locator in his left hand. The locator kept jumping, shifting from one coordinate to another. A large segment of coordinates in between had completely vanished. In just a short while, at the same location, the coordinates displayed by the locator changed again.

Luo Feng stared in astonishment. This was countless times more advanced than the methods used by Hu Yanbo to conceal dark universe coordinates.

“Brutal,” Luo Feng murmured softly.

“Concealing dark universe coordinates! Spatial lockdown!”

“In other words, I can only fly there slowly. Hundreds of light-years… even flying at near-light speed, it would take hundreds of years to arrive,” Luo Feng realized at this point that his second senior apprentice-brother, Emperor Yan, was indeed as he had suspected—after using the Jia Jia for so long, he had no intention of returning it.

“He concealed the cosmic coordinates and sealed the space. Yet, he didn’t come out to confront me personally,” Luo Feng mused. “It seems he still dares not openly defy Master S mountain guest.”
