Chapter 869: Returning Home

The Nine Clouds Continent was incredibly distant from his home universe. Even for a Chaos Realm giant, the journey would typically take tens of millions of years of arduous travel.

“Whoosh.” In the blink of an eye, a region of the chaotic void twisted, and Dongbo Xueying stepped out from within.

“Home universe.”

Dongbo Xueying gazed into the distance in a certain direction. Due to the immense distance, his teleportation had slightly deviated. However, traversing the chaotic void via ‘Void Shifting’ was countless times faster than moving within the Sacred Realm.

Whoosh.

In a single breath, Dongbo Xueying arrived before a colossal universe.

This universe only permitted foreign beings up to the Dominator level. As for Void Gods? They had to be native to the universe itself! Powerful foreign lifeforms could not enter—unless they were like the Voidwalker Gu Qi or others who possessed the power to destroy an entire universe. The universe could not resist them and had no choice but to allow their entry. Yet, even now, Dongbo Xueying could not casually annihilate a universe.

“Riiip—” A tear appeared in the universe’s membrane, and Dongbo Xueying effortlessly flew inside.

His home universe was still within this epoch, and he had not yet been repelled.

In the home universe, the black wild dog lying on the grass in the Primordial Land, its ears drooping, suddenly raised its head and opened its eyes. It looked into the distance, its canine face twisting in astonishment as it muttered in human speech, “Dongbo Xueying, this kid… He’s back already? And he’s already reached the Unity Realm?”

“Not just the Unity Realm—he’s also an Inner Hall Elder,” said a white-haired elder who appeared beside it. The Primordial Land had been created by Ancestor Tianyu, and members of the Sky Void Palace who arrived in this universe could have their identities sensed by the land.

“Inner Hall Elder? Doesn’t that mean his strength is close to mine now?” The black wild dog was shocked.

Strictly speaking, its combat power was at the sixth level of the Star Tower.

However, within the Primordial Land, it held the advantage of terrain. The formations and principles laid down by Ancestor Tianyu were extraordinarily profound, and with the formations’ augmentation, the black wild dog could unleash combat power equivalent to the seventh level of the Star Tower! Even so, it had been suppressed by the Sword Master in the past.

“To cultivate so quickly… He’ll likely become another Hall Master of our Sky Void Palace in the future,” the white-haired elder praised.

Dongbo Xueying gazed at the vast starfield in the distance, which radiated boundless destructive energy. The entire starfield was barren, devoid of any weak lifeforms. Only a man in dark-red robes stood within it. Sensing something, the man looked up and, across the spatial distance, locked eyes with the white-robed youth standing beyond the starfield.

“Xueying?” Bloodblade Divine Emperor, who had been in the midst of cultivation, was startled. He immediately ceased his practice and stepped forward, traversing space to stand before Dongbo Xueying.

“Xueying, you’ve returned?” Bloodblade Divine Emperor could hardly believe it.

The time had been too short.

The journey from their home universe to the Seven Seas Sacred Realm would normally take an incredibly long time.

“I’m back,” Dongbo Xueying smiled.

“Only a few hundred million years have passed, yet you’ve returned—and your current strength is beyond my perception,” Bloodblade Divine Emperor said, astonished.

Dongbo Xueying chuckled. “Master, I was fortunate. Shortly after leaving our home universe, I encountered a Void Corridor, which led me to meet the Demon Ancestor of our Sky Void Palace. That allowed me to reach the Sky Void Palace much earlier. Though only a few hundred million years have passed here, I’ve cultivated in the Sky Void Palace’s Time Hall for hundreds of billions of years. That’s why I’ve reached this level of strength. With your talent and potential, Master, once you enter the Sky Void Palace, your power will soar as well.”

“A Void Corridor?” Bloodblade Divine Emperor was stunned. “You actually encountered a Void Corridor?”

He knew the route to the Seven Seas Sacred Realm and was aware of the unknown dangers along the way.

A Void Corridor was something even Bloodblade Divine Emperor would fear and dread.

Because once trapped within it…

While the chance of immediate death was low, the distance to the Seven Seas Sacred Realm could become vastly greater. Their home universe was already quite close to the Seven Seas Sacred Realm! Passing through a Void Corridor might increase that distance tenfold or even a hundredfold—making the journey nearly impossible.

And indeed, that was the case.

Dongbo Xueying had ended up near the East Lin Sacred Realm.

“But I also met the Demon Ancestor, didn’t I?” Dongbo Xueying grinned.

“Thank goodness, thank goodness,” Bloodblade Divine Emperor sighed. “Leaving home and traveling through the chaotic void is truly perilous.”

“For me now, it’s already quite easy,” Dongbo Xueying said. “Master, when the time comes, I’ll personally escort you to the Sky Void Palace.”

Bloodblade Divine Emperor nodded with a laugh. “Haha, it seems after cultivating for hundreds of billions of years, your strength has far surpassed what it once was. Do you plan to offer guidance to the other Dominators? They’re all stuck at bottlenecks, unable to become Void Gods.”

“In a month’s time, I’ll host a banquet at my Black Fog Sea Dongbo Imperial Manor and meet with everyone,” Dongbo Xueying said.

“Good.” Bloodblade Divine Emperor was visibly pleased, his mood excellent.

Truthfully, when Dongbo Xueying had left their home universe, he had been deeply worried. After all, Dongbo Xueying’s strength had been far too weak at the time—even weaker than Bloodblade Divine Emperor himself. Yet now, he had surpassed him by a considerable margin.

Still, Bloodblade Divine Emperor remained calm.

For one, his disciple’s talent and potential were indeed greater than his own. And secondly, he believed that once he entered the Sky Void Palace, he too would undergo a transformation.

After parting with his master, Dongbo Xueying took a single step and arrived before a massive starry continent.

This continent radiated rolling crimson light, with sprawling palaces and countless cultivators dwelling upon it.

“Hahaha…” Dongbo Xueying couldn’t help but laugh as he observed it.

On this starry continent, a young man in loose gray robes sat cross-legged at the highest point of a grand hall, lecturing to a crowd of disciples below.

“Yu’er, this kid… Not bad at all. He’s actually taken on so many disciples.” Dongbo Xueying grinned so widely his mouth nearly split. Since returning home, his mood had been exceptionally bright. With his current power, his senses effortlessly enveloped every corner of the home universe, and the first thing he had noticed was that his son, Dongbo Yu, had already transcended mortality.

Now, it seemed, he had become a revered patriarch, teaching his own disciples.

Seeing his son like this filled Dongbo Xueying with even greater joy than any breakthrough in his own cultivation.

“Yu’er,” Dongbo Xueying called out.

At the pinnacle of the grand hall, Dongbo Yu stiffened slightly, his body trembling involuntarily. “All of you, leave us,” he commanded before vanishing into thin air.

The disciples below, though puzzled, obediently withdrew.

In the void, Dongbo Yu reappeared, his face alight with excitement as he beheld the figure before him. “Father! You—you’ve returned?”

It was far sooner than he had anticipated. He had assumed his father wouldn’t return until the end of this epoch.

“Well done,” Dongbo Xueying praised with a smile.

Hearing his father’s approval, Dongbo Yu couldn’t help but grin.

“And your mother?” Dongbo Xueying asked. “Has she already begun her slumber?”

“Only a few hundred million years have passed. Mother hasn’t been in a hurry to sleep, though she spends most of her time in her pocket world,” Dongbo Yu explained. “She emerges occasionally. But in a few more years, she plans to enter slumber. Both Mother and Elder Sister are currently at the Imperial Manor.”

Dongbo Xueying nodded gently.

Preparing to sleep?

Indeed, Jing Qiu had yet to transcend.

“Let’s go see your mother and sister,” Dongbo Xueying said.
