Chapter 782: The First Strike

Within the Chaos Landmass.

Here, countless lives thrived and cultivated.

“Hurry, hurry!”

“Faster!”

A group of attendants swiftly entered a dimly lit hall, where a monstrous figure, barely maintaining a humanoid form, loomed above, gazing down at them. As the attendants entered, they waved their hands, and large cages materialized within the hall. Some cages held groups of humans, others contained beasts, and still others imprisoned plant-like lifeforms… Yet, they all shared one common trait: each was at least at the World God level, though their powers had been sealed.

“Master, the food has been delivered,” the attendants said nervously.

“Hmm.”

The monstrous figure opened its maw.

Whoosh—a cage flew toward it, shrinking rapidly until it became a mere speck before vanishing into its gaping jaws. After swallowing, its abdomen writhed slightly.

“The karma is gone…” The attendants, all ordinary Great Powers, could sense the complete severance of karma from those consumed. Though inwardly sorrowful, none dared show even a hint of emotion.

Crunch. Crunch. The monster devoured humans, beasts, plants—all manner of cultivators—without discrimination.

Midway through its feast, it suddenly raised its head. “An outsider has arrived!”

Whoosh!

It vanished instantly, teleporting through the void.

The attendants exhaled in relief, yet their eyes instinctively turned outward. As Great Powers, they could pierce through the void’s barriers to witness the distant scene: a black-clad youth descending upon the Chaos Landmass.

“An outsider? A human?” The attendants trembled with excitement.

“Those who traverse the Chaos Void are usually Void Gods. And judging by his appearance—unlike those monsters who retain their hideous heads and scales even in humanoid form—this outsider seems like a proper cultivator.”

“Do we have hope?”

“Is he here to save us?”

They exchanged glances, torn between exhilaration and trepidation, even secretly spreading the news.

Across the Chaos Landmass, every Great Power among the countless cultivators soon learned one thing: a mighty cultivator from the Chaos Void had arrived. A battle against the Void Monsters might be imminent. Salvation, however faint, was possible.

Yet they knew the odds were slim. Powerful beings rarely risked their lives for strangers. Moreover, the Void Monsters’ strength was terrifying. Even if this outsider was a Void God, the chance of rescue remained minimal.

But—

Even the faintest hope was still hope!

Their lives had been shrouded in darkness, devoid of light. Now, the mere glimpse of possibility was enough to ignite their hearts.

The moment Dongbo Xueying arrived, he sensed an intangible ripple.

“Not good—a detection array. I’ve been spotted the instant I entered.” Fortunately, only his avatar was visible. His true form immediately expanded his void senses, enveloping the entire landmass in an instant.

“Hmm?” Xueying frowned.

This Chaos Landmass teemed with ordinary life—mortals, transcendents, deities, World Gods, and even True Gods.

Yet many World Gods and True Gods were imprisoned. Stranger still, the most powerful entities here were Void Creatures—sixteen of them. And then there was that sprawling, radiant palace complex, shielded by an array so formidable even his void senses couldn’t penetrate it.

“Void Creatures have taken over this landmass?” Xueying mused. “But why imprison the cultivators?”

Void Creatures possessed intelligence. Occupying a Chaos Landmass wasn’t unusual, but coexistence was typically peaceful.

Whoosh. Whoosh. Whoosh.

The void rippled as figures emerged—Void Creatures teleporting directly to his location. They had assumed crude humanoid forms, retaining claws, scales, and grotesque heads. Their eyes gleamed as they stared at Xueying.

“I was traversing the Chaos Void and happened upon this place. I came to pay my respects,” Xueying said with a smile, though his vigilance sharpened. “Void Creatures with higher intellect usually coexist peacefully with cultivators. Yet they look at me like prey.”

“Oh? Paying respects?” A tall, gaunt Void Creature among the six sneered. “A mere Dominator, wandering the Chaos Void? Do you rely on artifacts or some unique movement technique?”

“Is it proper to ask such private matters upon first meeting?” Xueying frowned. “I came here because this landmass isn’t marked on my void map. May I ask where this is?”

“A Dominator, yet so arrogant.”

“Devour him.”

“Whoever kills him first gets to eat him.”

The Void Creatures conversed openly, showing no restraint. Had a Void God arrived, they might have hesitated. But a Dominator? They feared nothing.

Xueying found it odd. These six Void Creatures were only at the True God/Dominator level. How could they dismiss his avatar so easily? Unless… a Void God lurked nearby.

His thoughts turned to that impenetrable palace complex.

Whoosh.

A new Void Creature appeared beside him, its claws lashing out. The other six erupted in protest. “You dare steal our prey?” “This is our territory!” “He belongs to us!”

“First to kill, first to claim,” the newcomer retorted. Its body was pitch-black, semi-transparent, with razor-sharp claws.

In response, Xueying summoned a spear.

Its tip gleamed darkly. Though this was merely an avatar, Xueying had imbued it with the most destructive force of the Voidwalker lineage—Bing Sha! Avatars, being energy constructs, lacked the resilience of true bodies and could only employ certain techniques.

Thrust!

The spear shaft spiraled forward, its tip weaving an erratic path that left the semi-transparent Void Creature baffled. It couldn’t predict the strike.

Pfft. The spear pierced its body 125 times in an instant. The destructive energy and Bing Sha’s annihilating force ravaged the creature’s robust vitality. A weaker being would have perished immediately.

Without pause, Xueying withdrew the spear and struck again. The wounded creature wailed, “Save me!” as it attempted to phase into the void.

But in void manipulation…

These creatures, reliant on innate talent, were no match for a Voidwalker. The spear pursued it through the void, piercing its body another 125 times. This time, death claimed it.

The other Void Creatures stared in shock.

Dead?

Just like that?

“The first stance of the Thirteen Annihilation Swords… My execution was poor. Ideally, it should leave a single wound. Yet my spear tip trembled, creating 125 holes.” Xueying glanced at the fallen creature’s remnants. “This is my first battle since entering the Chaos Void.”

Wielding the Annihilation Swords in combat was far more exhilarating than solitary training.

Across the landmass, Great Powers watched anxiously, yearning for a miracle.

Within the impenetrable palace complex, in a grand hall, a black-scaled Void Creature exhaled through its nostrils. Its cold eyes observed the distant events. Trivial matters like greeting outsiders were beneath its station.

“Elder Brother, it seems these whelps can’t handle this outsider Dominator. I’ll deal with him,” the black-scaled creature rumbled, its voice echoing into the depths of the complex.

“Proceed,” a deep voice responded.

“It’s been too long since I’ve tasted a Dominator. They’re so rare.” The creature rose, its interest piqued, and flew out from its hall.
