Chapter 774: The Demise of the Black Demon Ancestor

Deep within the ruins of the Lakeheart Island, the eight true forms of Pang Yi, Qing Jun, the Lord of Purgatory, the Island Master of Spacetime, the Primordial Abyss Ancestor, Lady Qianhe, the Master of the Pantheon, and the Yuanchu Master were all present. Among them, Pang Yi picked up the pocket-dimension treasure and said with a smile, “Everyone, let’s head out.”

“Brother Pang Yi, wait a moment,” a voice called out. Dressed in white, Dongbo Xueying appeared out of thin air. As a member of the Destruction Corps, he could teleport directly into the ruins from the outside world.

“Dongbo?”

“Even for such a trivial matter as relocation, you’ve come?”

The Rulers all chuckled. In the world of cultivators, strength commanded respect. The terrifying power Dongbo Xueying had displayed naturally earned him reverence. Moreover, they all vaguely understood that with such rapid cultivation progress, if anyone in their cosmic epoch could hope to catch up to the Bloodblade Divine Emperor, it would likely be Dongbo Xueying.

“There’s a small matter I need to trouble you with. Please release the Black Fiend Ancestor from the pocket-dimension treasure,” Dongbo Xueying said. Then, he turned to the Island Master of Spacetime. “Island Master of Spacetime, I must ask for your understanding. The debt of my master must be repaid.”

The Island Master of Spacetime frowned, his expression darkening.

No matter what, the Black Fiend Ancestor had pledged allegiance to him. Now, Dongbo Xueying was openly declaring his intent to kill the Black Fiend Ancestor under the pretext of “avenging his master,” which infuriated the Island Master. He also knew that whether the Black Fiend Ancestor would be released now depended on the Bloodblade Divine Emperor, as the pocket-dimension treasure belonged to him. There was no way the Island Master could stop it!

“Hmph,” the Island Master of Spacetime said coldly. “A mighty Ruler killing a mere Great Being—isn’t that bullying the weak?”

“I’ve said it before—my master’s debt must be repaid!” Dongbo Xueying’s voice turned icy.

The fact that he had spoken up first was already giving face.

If he had chosen to kill outright, could the Island Master of Spacetime have stopped him?

“Heh,” the Island Master sneered. “Ruler Dongbo’s strength surpasses mine. Within the ruins of Lakeheart Island, you and Pang Yi face no hindrances. I cannot protect him. But do you truly believe you can kill him?”

“One of his avatars isn’t in this universe?” Dongbo Xueying scoffed.

He had already discovered this.

Through karmic perception, he could only sense one body of the Black Fiend Ancestor in the entire universe. The other avatar was nowhere to be found—either hidden in a place like the Primordial Land or sent to another universe. Of course, there was one other possibility: the Black Fiend Ancestor had no avatar at all. But that would be a joke—if he hadn’t cultivated an avatar, killing his true form would still mean his end.

“Indeed, his other avatar is in another universe and has never returned,” the Island Master of Spacetime mocked. “Does Ruler Dongbo still have the confidence to kill him?”

Pang Yi, standing nearby, smiled slightly. With a thought, he summoned the Black Fiend Ancestor right beside them.

The moment Dongbo Xueying arrived, he had already used his Rule Domain to forcibly sever all karmic transmissions and messages. Within his Rule Domain, he could dictate the laws—his word was absolute! Unless another Ruler resisted with their own Rule Domain, but everyone understood Dongbo Xueying’s purpose and saw no reason to oppose him now. Even the Island Master of Spacetime couldn’t warn the Black Fiend Ancestor.

“Island Master,” the Black Fiend Ancestor immediately spotted the Island Master of Spacetime, then noticed the group of Rulers surrounding him—and finally, the white-robed Dongbo Xueying. His heart trembled, but since his other avatar had fortuitously entered another universe, he managed to remain composed.

“Black Fiend Ancestor,” Dongbo Xueying spoke.

His voice seemed to drift and distort, and the Black Fiend Ancestor felt the world before him twist unnaturally.

The other Rulers noticed the Black Fiend Ancestor’s vacant stare and instantly realized he had fallen under an illusion.

“Dongbo Xueying!” The Black Fiend Ancestor suddenly seemed to regain clarity, pointing at the void beside him and roaring, “You want to kill me? Too bad! By sheer luck, my other avatar isn’t even in this universe. You can’t possibly kill me. As for this body of mine—ha! Kill it if you want.”

“HAHAHA—”

“BOOM!”

Amidst his laughter, the Black Fiend Ancestor suddenly exploded.

“Impressive,” the Lord of Purgatory remarked. “To make the Black Fiend commit suicide across universes.”

“The Black Fiend’s avatar killed itself first, followed by his true form,” the Yuanchu Master said, nodding in admiration. “Truly remarkable.”

Meanwhile, the Island Master of Spacetime’s expression grew even darker.

“Just a simple illusion,” Dongbo Xueying said.

His Void Path had reached the Ruler level. In terms of illusion manipulation, he was unmatched in the cultivators’ universe. Against an ordinary Great Being, a single glance was enough—Dongbo Xueying plunged him into an illusion, linking the memories of both his true form and avatar. Effortlessly, he guided the Black Fiend Ancestor to suicide, first the avatar, then the true form. Once the avatar perished, the true form’s soul became singular, allowing the Yuanchu Master to discern the sequence of events through secret arts.

“Let’s go. Time to leave,” the Island Master of Spacetime said coldly.

“Agreed.”

Pang Yi nodded.

Whoosh!

In an instant, they teleported out of the Lakeheart Island ruins, emerging into the vast starry sky. There, Pang Yi began transferring countless cultivators from the pocket-dimension treasure—Venerables, Great Beings, numerous World Gods, and even talented young prodigies. The very elite of the entire cultivators’ universe were all brought forth.

“Proceed with the relocation as planned,” Pang Yi commanded.

“Yes,” the assembled Venerables and Great Beings responded in unison. Hundreds of them were responsible for overseeing the migration in batches. Yet, their gazes inevitably drifted toward Dongbo Xueying. They could sense it—Dongbo Xueying, one of the Three Ancestors of the Bloodblade Divine Court, now stood among the Rulers, his aura no less imposing. This realization left them awestruck.

They could hardly believe that Dongbo Xueying, whose cultivation span was so brief, had become a Ruler. But the scene before them left no room for doubt.

“Indeed, Lord Dongbo has ascended to Ruler status. Without him, the war against the Mother Goddess Sect would not have ended so swiftly,” Pang Yi declared.

Qing Jun and the Yuanchu Master nodded in agreement.

A heavy silence fell.

Among the gathered crowd—comprising not just the Great Beings but nearly all the World Gods of the cultivators’ universe, along with numerous young talents—everyone heard it clearly. The legendary Lord Dongbo had reached the Ruler realm. To them, he was nothing short of a myth.

With the war concluded, everyone began returning to their respective domains. The cultivators’ universe settled back into tranquility. The highest echelons of Great Beings now knew that, in addition to Lord Dongbo’s ascension to Ruler, the Bloodblade Divine Emperor—the undisputed strongest existence in the Divine Realm and the Abyss—had transcended to an even higher realm. This revelation left many Great Beings utterly stunned.

Senior Brother Huiming and Patriarch Redflame, upon learning of the Black Fiend Ancestor’s demise, felt a weight lift from their hearts. Compared to Dongbo Xueying, their bond with the Reddust Sacred Master ran far deeper.

Dongbo Xueying’s connection to the Reddust Sacred Master had always been tenuous. His decision to kill the Black Fiend Ancestor stemmed partly from gratitude, but also from the latter’s heinous deeds, which had provoked his wrath.

“Now that I’ve become a Ruler, it’s time to accomplish the many things I’ve long wished to do,” Dongbo Xueying mused to himself. “Though I suspect the Island Master of Spacetime will put up quite a fight.”
