Chapter 759: Ascension to Sovereignty

Before embarking on his dream cultivation, Dongbo Xueying had already pushed the Path of the Virtual Realm and two other paths to their ultimate bottlenecks. Although the direction and insights gained during his dream cultivation differed somewhat, they too reached the same pinnacle bottlenecks. In fact, during his dream cultivation… he had even gained comprehension of the Dominator realm.

When these two sets of insights collided, it was an indescribably wondrous sensation.

Time flowed on. A full one hundred and sixty years passed within the thatched cottage before Dongbo Xueying’s cultivation concluded, while only six days elapsed in the outside world. This was considerably longer than the one or two days he had initially estimated to his master, the Bloodblade Divine Emperor. However, given the current state of the war, a few extra days made little difference. At the critical moment of creating the fourth chapter of *The Ripple of the Dao*, Dongbo Xueying was unwilling to halt. Countless insights continuously merged into his being, immersing him so deeply that the process took far longer than anticipated.

In the Redstone Mountain World, on the Island of Mortal Dust.

“Creak.”

Dressed in white robes, Dongbo Xueying pushed open the courtyard gate and stepped outside. Around him, the leaves of towering trees blazed crimson, and countless fallen leaves carpeted the ground.

“A Dominator… is truly a world apart,” Dongbo Xueying murmured with a faint smile.

He raised his gaze toward the distance.

In an instant, his vision pierced through the entire material world, reaching the distant ruins of the Heartlake Island. There, deep within its core, he saw the nine Dominators seated in meditation—the black-robed Bloodblade Divine Emperor, Pang Yi, Qing Jun, the Abyssal Ancestor, the Netherprison Dominator, Lady Qianhe, the Island Master of Spacetime, the Master of Myriad Palaces, and the Primordial Origin Master. The majority of the cultivator faction’s powerhouses had temporarily relocated to Heartlake Island, with each of these Dominators leaving a clone behind.

The moment Dongbo Xueying’s gaze fell upon them, all nine Dominators sensed it, their expressions shifting to astonishment as they looked back.

“Who is it?”

“Those fools from the Mother Goddess Sect couldn’t possibly have discovered our hiding place!”

The Bloodblade Divine Emperor, the Island Master of Spacetime, Qing Jun, Pang Yi—each followed the sensation to its source.

Soon.

Their gazes locked with Dongbo Xueying’s across the vast expanse of the material world.

“Junior Brother Dongbo?” Qing Jun exclaimed in disbelief.

“Dongbo Xueying?” The Island Master of Spacetime could hardly believe his eyes. “He… he’s become a Dominator?”

The Bloodblade Divine Emperor’s face lit up with joy before he burst into laughter. “Esteemed colleagues, Xueying entered the Demon Mountain Universe, where time flows over three thousand times faster than here. Thus, he has cultivated there for hundreds of millions of years! Given that his strength had already reached the ultimate bottleneck, it’s only natural that he has now taken that final step to Dominator.”

“Natural?” Qing Jun sighed. “I was trapped at the Hegemon realm for how long…”

“I had to forge an entirely new path and create my own cultivation method to break through,” Pang Yi added with a rueful smile. “For Dongbo Xueying to ascend directly to Dominator… his talent is truly extraordinary.”

That single step from the pinnacle of Hegemon to Dominator—though seemingly small—was unimaginably difficult.

Even the Nirvana Emperor remained stuck at that threshold to this day!

“Hahaha! With Xueying as a Dominator, his assistance will be even greater,” the Bloodblade Divine Emperor declared without hesitation. “Xueying, come to us at once.”

“As you command, Master,” Dongbo Xueying replied.

“Dongbo Xueying, I never doubted you would reach the pinnacle of the Creation realm. But to become a Dominator so swiftly… even I must admire you. This is simply unprecedented,” the Primordial Origin Master transmitted, his voice tinged with awe.

The Island Master of Spacetime’s expression twisted sourly.

He had never held Dongbo Xueying in high regard, and now this upstart stood as his equal? Preposterous!

“Hmph. A newly ascended Dominator must still be green,” the Island Master consoled himself inwardly.

Dongbo Xueying could sense the shock his ascension had caused. Yet, becoming a Dominator was no small feat—especially within the Rule-Oblivion system, where breakthroughs were even more arduous.

“My fusion of insights only allowed the Path of the Virtual Realm to break through, elevating me to Dominator,” Dongbo Xueying reflected silently. “Though I’ve completed the fourth chapter of *The Ripple of the Dao* and deepened my understanding of the Path of Slaughter and the Path of Ripples, further accumulation is needed before those too can naturally reach fruition.”

“Without the dream cultivation, I might have remained at that bottleneck for far longer,” he acknowledged.

“Xueying.”

A voice called from afar.

Dongbo Xueying looked up to see Yu Jingqiu flash toward him, arriving in an instant.

“Father! Father!” Two more figures teleported in—Dongbo Yu and Dongbo Qingyao.

“Xueying, your aura feels… different,” Yu Jingqiu said hesitantly. To her senses, Dongbo Xueying now seemed unfathomably profound.

“My journey to the Demon Mountain Universe bore fruit. I broke through and have now attained Dominator,” Dongbo Xueying announced.

Yu Jingqiu, Dongbo Yu, and Dongbo Qingyao stood frozen.

Dominator?

They had always taken pride in Dongbo Xueying, recognizing his unparalleled genius. But a Dominator? Standing at the very peak of the cosmos, shoulder-to-shoulder with the Bloodblade Divine Emperor, the Island Master of Spacetime, the Abyssal Ancestor, and the Master of Myriad Palaces? The notion was almost too staggering to grasp.

“Time flows far faster in the Demon Mountain Universe. I didn’t cultivate for mere millions of years—but over six hundred million,” Dongbo Xueying explained with a smile. “Once the war concludes, I’ll arrange for you to visit. Their cultivation systems and resources far surpass ours. The Third Prince, Jiao Yunliu, is a friend, and I’ve already discussed this with him.”

“A Dominator…” Dongbo Yu turned to his sister, eyes wide. “Did you hear that? Our father is a Dominator!”

“And so is mine!” Dongbo Qingyao retorted playfully, though her excitement was unmistakable.

Seeing their exhilaration, Dongbo Xueying chuckled. “I must first transcend.”

“Transcend?” The three blinked in confusion.

Dongbo Xueying turned to the empty space beside him, manipulating the void through spacetime.

*Hummmm—*

Like peeling an orange to reveal its fruit, the layers of reality before him were stripped away, exposing a deeper dimension—a vast, boundless river surging endlessly. It had no source, no end, flowing through every corner of the universe.

Within its currents, countless lives struggled—from the lowliest insects to Fourth Heaven Godkings, all drowning in its tides.

“The River of Time…” Dongbo Yu, Dongbo Qingyao, and Yu Jingqiu stared, their hearts heavy with complex emotions. Every cultivator dreamed of one day transcending this very river.

“But that—!”

The trio gasped as their eyes landed on a distant figure.

At the far reaches of the River of Time stood a colossus of unimaginable scale. Its height defied measurement, its legs planted firmly in the river—though the waters only reached its knees. The sheer girth of those legs spanned the entire width of the River of Time!

With a single step, the giant strode onto the riverbank.

Out of the waters. Onto the shore.

This was no ordinary river—it was the River of Time. To step ashore was to become one who had crossed to the other side—a Transcendent.

The white-robed Dongbo Xueying also took a step, arriving at that ethereal shore. As he did, the gargantuan figure rapidly shrank until the family below could finally discern its features: the being whose feet had nearly burst the River of Time apart was none other than Dongbo Xueying himself. Having achieved Dominator in both the Path of the Virtual Realm and as a Voidwalker, his truesoul was incomparably mighty—far surpassing ordinary Dominators—hence his exaggerated manifestation within the River of Time.

The towering giant diminished and merged seamlessly with the white-robed figure.

“Transcendence. Completion.” Dongbo Xueying felt his soul reach new heights of wholeness. “Though true perfection will only come when my true body and avatar reunite.”

To ascend to Void God, one’s true self and clones must become one—only then could life achieve ultimate fulfillment, enabling the leap from True God to Void God. For now, as a Dominator with no immediate need to enter the Chaos Void, Dongbo Xueying saw no urgency in merging his forms.

“Father, I heard transcending involves borrowing the power of cosmic rules to escape the River of Time. But you just… stepped onto the shore? And your size was…” Dongbo Yu stammered, awestruck.

“Haha, no time for details now. I must go,” Dongbo Xueying said, nodding to his wife.

“Be careful,” Yu Jingqiu urged.

With a final smile, Dongbo Xueying vanished—departing the material world to join the Bloodblade Divine Emperor and the others.
