Chapter 653: Thrown Out

The blood-robed, sinister-looking man frowned. “This soldier of the Destruction Legion is truly troublesome. The path he’s forged actually creates an entirely separate realm. Though such a ‘path’ is extremely weak in offense, it’s remarkably effective for survival and escape. The Bloodfiend can’t even lay a finger on him!”

How can one win without touching the enemy?

“Is this all you’ve got?” Dongbo Xueying stood there, sneering. “I haven’t even lost a single strand of hair standing here. I thought the Bloodfiend would be more formidable.”

While mocking, he simultaneously observed the Bloodfiend, searching for a way to defeat it.

“You’re just good at hiding,” the Bloodfiend growled, stopping in its tracks with its massive forelimbs hanging at its sides. “Hiding won’t win you this fight! If you can’t defeat me, you’ll be thrown out—probably never getting another chance to enter the Three Demon Halls in this lifetime.”

“Hiding? I was just giving you the first move. Since you can’t touch me, it’s my turn now.” Dongbo Xueying’s words carried provocation, but the Bloodfiend, bred by the Demon Ancestor purely for combat, remained unaffected by taunts.

Whoosh.

Dongbo Xueying vanished without a trace.

Within the Void World, he could choose to be seen or remain hidden at will. Just like the flying dagger artifact, when thrown, it disappeared into thin air.

“He truly entered another realm,” the blood-robed man muttered, watching silently.

In the Void World.

It was like standing on the shore, gazing into the world beneath the water’s surface. Observing the ‘normal world’ from the Void World felt uniquely surreal to Dongbo Xueying.

“The vast cosmos is unfathomably mysterious.”

“The normal world is merely where most life resides. There are countless other special realms beyond its reach—even other universes!” Dongbo Xueying marveled. The higher his cultivation, the more he realized how much remained unknown. He felt like an ant beneath the stars, seeing only fragments of the grand design.

Yet, this journey filled him with joy and excitement.

The more he understood, the more he could control. Now, he had even transcended the normal world, mastering his own ‘Void World.’ He suspected the ‘Primordial Land’ was similar, just on an incomparably higher level—allowing it to summon beings from anywhere in the cosmos or forcibly relocate them.

No force—be it the will of the Material Realm, the Abyss, the Sun Star, the Moon Star, the Heartlake Island, or the Six Paths Heavenly Wheel—could resist the Primordial Land’s teleportation.

Such power left Dongbo Xueying in awe.

From what he knew, the Primordial Ancestor had visited many universes and likely wasn’t a native of the cultivators’ cosmos.

But!

The strongest of their universe across countless epochs, the ‘Heartlake Island Master,’ had discovered the Primordial Land and forced his way in, bypassing all the Primordial Ancestor’s defenses. In terms of strength, even if he wasn’t the Ancestor’s equal, he couldn’t be far behind.

“If the Heartlake Island Master could do it, so can our epoch. And so can I,” Dongbo Xueying smiled. “Perhaps by then, the Mother Goddess Sect will be nothing but a joke to me.”

Cultivation was truly intoxicating.

Strolling through the Void World, Dongbo Xueying watched the Bloodfiend in the normal world, now wary and confused. He chuckled.

“Let’s start with a dagger.” He summoned a flying blade.

Whoosh.

The dagger flashed through the Void World, appearing beside the Bloodfiend before striking into the normal world.

“There!” The Bloodfiend dodged, swiping its claw to smack the dagger away mid-air. The blade tumbled before vanishing back into the Void World.

“What?” Dongbo Xueying retrieved the dagger, stunned. “It sensed and blocked it?”

Back when he fought Sage Ye, before forging his Void Path, his dagger’s attacks from the Void World had been detected—but Sage Ye, weaker and slower, had barely managed a partial block.

This Bloodfiend was different. It reacted faster and was stronger, fully deflecting the strike.

“Again.” Dongbo Xueying refused to believe it. “With my Void Path, it should be even more concealed.”

Swoosh.

Another dagger flew.

This time, he noticed: the moment the dagger entered the black ripples around the Bloodfiend, it was detected.

“Those ripples threaten me greatly. Not only do they defend against the normal world, they even sense the Void World.” Dongbo Xueying was impressed. “The Demon Ancestor is formidable. A mere combat construct can counter my moves. Luckily, the ripples only span ten zhang.”

He wasn’t surprised. The ‘Ancient Demons’ of the lower three domains were at the Paramount level, while those of the upper three were even stronger—enough to humble experts like the Bloodblade God Emperor and the Spacetime Island Lord, both at the Eternal level.

Clearly, their unique abilities, though impressive, were trivial to the Demon Ancestor.

“All you do is throw daggers?” the Bloodfiend growled, scanning its surroundings.

“Then try my spear.” Dongbo Xueying’s voice echoed as he closed in, staying just outside the ten-zhang ripple range.

Whoosh.

The Bloodsnake Spear extended over ten zhang, striking from the Void World into the normal realm.

Spears and daggers were fundamentally different.

Daggers relied on stealth; spears embodied technique—unpredictable and far more powerful. Though it channeled only one path, the Eternal-level ‘Slaughter Path,’ its might was immense, laced with the insidious ‘Bloodsnake Venom.’ While slightly less concealed, the spear surpassed the dagger in every other aspect. With Dongbo Xueying’s Void Path mastery, its stealth was still formidable—enough that the Bloodfiend couldn’t sense it until it entered the ripples.

Hum.

The spear shaft twisted, carrying terrifying rotational force like a serpent striking the Bloodfiend.

The beast barely blocked in time. Ten zhang was negligible at their level. Against a straightforward dagger, it could defend easily—but the spear’s fluid techniques overwhelmed it. As a construct, its raw power and defense were enhanced, but combat finesse lagged.

The first thrust slipped between its claws, piercing its left chest, leaving a fist-sized hole.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The spear became a blur, attacking relentlessly.

The Bloodfiend roared, struggling to defend. The spear struck from the Void World, too close to evade fully. Its claws enlarged desperately, yet the weapon still found angles from behind.

Thud!

Occasionally, a claw struck the spear.

In the Void World, Dongbo Xueying staggered. “The force transmitted through the weapon into this realm—barely weakened. Incredibly concentrated.”

“It’s slightly stronger than me, but far from injuring me.”

He remained unharmed and unfazed.

“With his separate realm, his offense should be weak. The Bloodfiend’s scales are tough,” the blood-robed man mused from afar. Then he saw the fist-sized wound and blinked. “His attack is stronger than expected, but the Bloodfiend’s regeneration will heal it.”

But soon, he gaped.

The wounds healed sluggishly. More holes appeared, worsening the damage.

“How?!” the man exclaimed. “Bloodfiend, what’s wrong?”

“This soldier’s attacks carry a strange destructive force,” the Bloodfiend rumbled. “His weapon is also laced with a vicious poison.”

“This…”

The blood-robed man stared, dumbfounded.

The battle raged on, but the outcome was clear.

The Bloodfiend couldn’t touch Dongbo Xueying, while each strike added injuries that healed too slowly. Accumulated, they spelled inevitable defeat.

After over an hour of assault, the Bloodfiend’s body finally collapsed, condensing into a weakened drop of black blood.

The blood-robed man waved, making it vanish.

“You win,” he said coldly.

Dongbo Xueying materialized in the hall.

“Here’s the Three Demon Hall token.” The man tossed it dismissively. As Dongbo Xueying caught it—

“Now get out.”

A bubble enveloped him, forcibly ejecting him.

Alone in the hall, the blood-robed man grumbled, “To think a Destruction Legion soldier got the token. The Demon Ancestor is too lenient, even giving them chances.”

Whoosh.

The moment Dongbo Xueying grasped the token, his body shattered and reformed.

“Where—?” He spotted the slumbering Ancient Demon nearby.

“Back here already.” Smiling, he extended his Void World senses, instantly detecting the four hidden Mother Goddess Sect Guardians. They perked up, eyes gleaming with excitement.
