Chapter 558: The Master of Yuanchu

After reuniting with his daughter, Monarch Mo Xue was in no hurry to reincarnate. Although his true divine heart was on the verge of collapse, given his realm, he could easily delay it for a million years. He still wanted to make some arrangements before moving on to his next life.

“Follow me,” Dongbo Xueying said, leading Huochong the Venerable, Yu Jingqiu, and Monarch Mo Xue swiftly through the inner caverns of the Heartlake Island.

After flying for nearly half an hour, they finally arrived at a vast hollow within the mountain. Dongbo Xueying first waved his hand, temporarily storing Yu Jingqiu and the others within his inner world.

“Heartlake Island, please send me out,” Dongbo Xueying called out clearly.

Immediately, a surge of power descended.

Whoosh!

Dongbo Xueying was instantly enveloped and hurled out through an invisible passage formed by the island’s rules.

As a soldier of the Destruction Legion, there was no need to laboriously traverse the distant lake waters when heading out for battle. In fact, the Destruction Cavern itself had methods to send them directly out, and within Heartlake Island, there were numerous teleportation points available.

“We’re out.”

Dongbo Xueying gazed at the vast void before him, then turned to see the enormous silver-white sphere of water in the distance behind him—Heartlake Island. It had taken him eleven years to cross the lake waters and reach the island, yet exiting took only an instant.

Swish, swish, swish!

Yu Jingqiu, Monarch Mo Xue, and Huochong the Venerable appeared beside him.

“That’s it? We’re out just like that?” Huochong the Venerable marveled, staring into the distance. “Even for me, entering and exiting requires painstakingly crossing the lake waters. Dongbo, now that you’re one of Heartlake Island’s own, coming and going is much easier.”

“Directly teleported out?” Monarch Mo Xue remarked. “It seems the inner workings of Heartlake Island are still operational.”

“Indeed. Even the destruction of the universe couldn’t annihilate Heartlake Island. Naturally, its inner mechanisms are still functioning,” Dongbo Xueying nodded. From his earlier conversations with the Legion Commander, he knew that Heartlake Island maintained its own order and allowed beings from later cosmic epochs to explore it. If it were forbidden, even the Bloodblade Divine Emperor might not have been able to set foot on the island.

“Shall we head straight to the Bloodblade Divine Court?” Dongbo Xueying asked.

“No rush. My master will arrive shortly,” Huochong the Venerable said.

Dongbo Xueying was startled.

Huochong’s master was none other than the first Supremacy of the Divine Realm and the Abyss.

Just then, the void beside them split open, and an elderly man in simple robes stepped out. He exuded no oppressive aura, appearing as ordinary as a farmer toiling in the fields. His eyes were plain, and his demeanor gentle. Yet, despite his unremarkable appearance, the laws of time and space seemed to hold no sway over him. His movements appeared slow, yet in a single step, he was already before Dongbo Xueying and the others.

Monarch Mo Xue was awestruck and excited, while Yu Jingqiu remained puzzled—she didn’t know who Huochong the Venerable’s master was. But Monarch Mo Xue, having lived far longer, was privy to some secrets.

“Master,” Huochong the Venerable greeted.

“Greetings, Venerable Yuanchu,” Dongbo Xueying suppressed his excitement and bowed respectfully.

Monarch Mo Xue and Yu Jingqiu also hurriedly bowed. “Greetings, Venerable Yuanchu.”

“Dongbo, Huochong owes his escape from the Destruction Cavern to you. If you have the time, feel free to visit my Yuanchu World,” Yuanchu Master said.

Dongbo Xueying quickly assented.

Yuanchu…

From Huochong’s earlier introductions, he knew that Yuanchu was the first to attain the rank of True God Supremacy. Though outwardly serene, he was, at his core, the most aloof figure in the Divine Realm and the Abyss. He rarely deigned to interact with other mighty beings, even skipping gatherings like the Ten Thousand Flowers Banquet. In the earliest days, he had styled himself ‘Daoist Yuanchu’ as the first to establish and master his own Dao.

Later, after creating the Yuanchu World and residing there, he adopted the title ‘Yuanchu Master.’

Regardless, he was an existence of unfathomable power, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Bloodblade Divine Emperor and the Island Lord of Time and Space.

“Who is he?” Yu Jingqiu wondered, though she remained respectfully silent.

Monarch Mo Xue quickly sent a mental message to his daughter. Though Yuanchu Master could easily intercept such communications if he wished, someone of his stature would never stoop to such pettiness.

“What? An existence on par with the Bloodblade Divine Emperor and the Island Lord of Time and Space?” Yu Jingqiu was stunned. In her past life, she had only been a Three Heavens Skygod, and her knowledge of the Divine Realm and the Abyss was limited.

“Look at the mess you’ve made,” Yuanchu Master chided Huochong the Venerable, shaking his head. “You already lost one clone trapped in Heartlake Island, yet you still sent your true body to rescue a friend. Had your true body perished, you’d have been stuck there forever. Fortunately, Dongbo here saved you. Otherwise, you’d have been trapped until the universe’s destruction.”

Huochong the Venerable nodded sheepishly.

“Here’s your True God artifact,” Yuanchu Master tossed over a massive, blazing axe—the very weapon Huochong had lost when his true body fell. Yuanchu Master had retrieved it for his disciple.

“I got lucky running into my brother Dongbo,” Huochong the Venerable grinned.

“One of your clones remains imprisoned in the Destruction Cavern, unable to die. With only this clone left to act, don’t be so reckless in the future,” Yuanchu Master warned.

“No worries. If this clone dies, I’ll just have Brother Dongbo fetch my other one from the Destruction Cavern,” Huochong the Venerable said, turning to Dongbo Xueying. “You wouldn’t refuse, would you, brother?”

“Of course not,” Dongbo Xueying replied.

Yuanchu Master sighed lightly. “Let’s go to the Bloodblade Divine Court.”

It was almost pitiable.

Despite being the first Supremacy of the Divine Realm and the Abyss, he had only one Venerable under his command—Huochong the Venerable. But then again, his aloof nature made him disinclined to gather followers.

Whoosh!

Yuanchu Master enveloped Dongbo Xueying and the others in a hazy passage. In less than a breath, they emerged from the distorted tunnel to find themselves before the floating landmass of the Bloodblade Divine Court in the starry void.

“Dongbo, Huochong, come with me to see Bloodblade,” Yuanchu Master said calmly.

“Yes,” Dongbo Xueying replied promptly, then turned to his wife and father-in-law. “Jingqiu, take Father to my residence at Yinshi Villa.” This had been prearranged. Given the immense value of True God artifacts—enough to drive even Four Heavens Skygods and mighty beings to desperate measures—it was safest to remain within the Bloodblade Divine Court.

Here, they could study the artifact in peace, free from any threat of theft.

Swish, swish!

Yu Jingqiu and Monarch Mo Xue flew off toward the distant landmass, soon descending upon it.

Meanwhile, Yuanchu Master, Dongbo Xueying, and Huochong the Venerable took a single step, crossing the sky to arrive at the core of the Bloodblade Divine Court.

“What is this?” Dongbo Xueying stared in surprise at the scene before him.

An ancient wooden hut stood before them. Outside, the Bloodblade Divine Emperor, clad in dark-red robes, awaited his guests, the black bird perched on his shoulder.

Whoosh!

The plainly robed Yuanchu Master entered through the wooden gate of the small courtyard, followed by Dongbo Xueying and Huochong the Venerable.

“Xueying, come here,” the Bloodblade Divine Emperor commanded.

“Yes, Master.” Dongbo Xueying hurried to his master’s side.

The Bloodblade Divine Emperor glanced at him, a trace of unconcealed satisfaction on his face. “To join the Destruction Legion of Heartlake Island as a Three Heavens Skygod, and with such a short cultivation time—impressive. But venturing into Heartlake Island with your current strength was reckless. Pushing beyond your limits isn’t tempering; it’s suicide.”

Dongbo Xueying remained silent.

“Young friend Dongbo is quite remarkable. Thanks to him, Huochong was rescued,” Yuanchu Master interjected.

The Bloodblade Divine Emperor turned his gaze.

Here stood the two pinnacle existences of the Divine Realm and the Abyss.

One, the most ancient, the first to attain Supremacy.

The other, currently the most formidable.

“Shall we visit the ancient cave abode together?” The Bloodblade Divine Emperor smiled faintly. This was indeed an unexpected windfall.

Yuanchu Master snorted lightly. “You should thank your disciple.”

“No need for you to concern yourself with that,” the Bloodblade Divine Emperor replied, his smile widening.
