Chapter 520: A Major Event (Part 1)

Time flowed on.

Dongbo Xueying’s prestige within the Xueying Domain grew ever stronger. Everyone knew that within the domain, the two most influential families were the ‘Long Clan,’ representing the Pavilion Master of Longshan Pavilion, and the ‘Dongbo Clan.’ Even Dongbo Yu and Dongbo Qingyao now wielded considerable influence and power within the domain. At Dongbo Xueying’s level, many factions found it difficult to even secure an audience with him.

Thus, they settled for the next best option—befriending Dongbo Yu and Dongbo Qingyao.

As for this, Dongbo Xueying and his wife did not impose harsh demands on their children. They merely devoted more effort to guiding them in cultivation. As for their character, having endured thousands of years in the ‘Redstone Mountain World,’ their temperaments were already firmly set, so there was no fear of them becoming spoiled brats. However, one thing frustrated Jing Qiu—Dongbo Yu and Dongbo Qingyao didn’t always listen to her.

Perhaps because they believed their mother was merely a peak Deity, just like them, why should they heed her guidance? Even if they pretended to listen out of respect, deep down, they harbored doubts. They didn’t dare fully follow her cultivation advice, fearing they might stray from the right path. Instead, they idolized Dongbo Xueying and trusted his guidance without question.

To this, Dongbo Xueying could only sigh inwardly. *You two little fools have no idea your mother is actually a Four Heavens Realm God! Her insights surpass even mine! Moreover, as a Four Heavens Realm God, she has begun to grasp the interconnectedness of the Heavenly Daos, comprehending the divine hearts of various laws. Such guidance is something others would beg for, yet you two refuse to listen.*

But this truth couldn’t be spoken. Jing Qiu could only swallow her grievances, still worrying about her children. She often shared her thoughts on their cultivation with Dongbo Xueying, letting him, as their father, relay them instead.

In the underground hall of the Inspector’s estate, Dongbo Xueying sat cross-legged.

Before him hovered a massive dark array diagram, exuding an aura of profound mystery as countless intricacies intertwined.

“Dark World?” Dongbo Xueying murmured softly.

Around him, flowers bloomed, grasses sprouted, sunlight shone, winds whispered, grains of sand danced, rivers rippled, and mountains rose and fell…

“The world is vibrant and all-encompassing, capable of embracing everything. Yet my current understanding is shallow, and my utilization of the laws is still rudimentary. Compared to the *Blackworm Sutra* and *Taihao*, the gap is immense.” Dongbo Xueying pondered silently. Over the years, he had meticulously studied the array diagrams, absorbing their insights to refine his own techniques.

The more he improved, the more he realized the vastness of the disparity. He couldn’t help but feel deep reverence for the predecessors who had created the *Blackworm Sutra* and *Taihao*.

“Prison.”

With a thought, countless white chains surged forth, undulating like gentle water, filling the entire hall. Back when he was a Two Heavens Realm God, his ‘World Prison’ had been a tangled, oppressive force. Now, this ‘World Prison’ was as soft as water, seemingly unassuming.

Only those truly trapped within would understand its terror!

“I’m improving. Jing Qiu, after breaking through to the Four Heavens Realm and obtaining a Bloodforged Divine Weapon, is also advancing.” Dongbo Xueying mused. “Now, I can only barely hold my own against my wife.”

How pitiful.

Even now, he was still suppressed by her!

Though two years ago, he had reached the Third Revolution of *Taihao*’s third chapter, greatly enhancing his strength, Jing Qiu’s Bloodforged Divine Weapon was a massive sword that could split into nine slender blades. These nine blades, when wielded with techniques from the fragmented *Heartsword Diagram*, unleashed devastating power. Clearly, the numerous array diagrams from the *Blackworm Sutra* had greatly aided her comprehension of the *Heartsword Diagram*.

Among Four Heavens Realm Gods, Dongbo Xueying was already formidable, yet he could only defend himself. Still, the fact that he could hold his ground meant their strengths were now comparable.

In the starry void, a desolate, icy planet loomed.

This planet was entirely composed of frozen ice, radiating endless cold. Its gravitational pull was immense, making it uninhabitable for ordinary transcendent beings.

*Whoosh.*

A white-haired, white-bearded elder clad in black robes appeared abruptly in the depths of a vast canyon on this frozen world. In his hand materialized a crystalline grain of sand. With a thought, its appearance shifted, transforming into an ordinary shard of ice. He tossed it, and the grain vanished into the icy layers beneath his feet, utterly inconspicuous.

*Swoosh!*

With a single step, he vanished, reappearing in the distant void.

Gazing at the dark planet far away, the black-robed elder with flowing white beard smirked coldly. “I, Mo Xue, am on the verge of my divine heart collapsing, already preparing for reincarnation. What do I care for your threats? Hmph! If I can use this old life of mine—this life already nearing its end—to secure a future for my daughter, it’s worth it! My daughter’s husband is Dongbo Xueying, after all. Hah!”

“My daughter has already reached the Four Heavens Realm. With her talent, becoming a Paragon is possible, though difficult. But with my help and her husband’s, she will surely succeed.”

Mo Xue, the former ruler of a kingdom, felt exhilarated.

Moments ago, another of his avatars had accomplished something he deemed ‘glorious.’

*RUMBLE—*

Suddenly, an enormous black array diagram manifested across the vast void, spanning trillions of miles. The surrounding stars were mere specks within its expanse. Under the diagram’s oppressive force, space itself seemed to freeze, making even Mo Xue’s movements sluggish.

“Mo Xue, you cannot escape.”

*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*

Five figures materialized at different points of the colossal black array.

Their auras were overwhelming. Among them was a massive black serpent, its head raised high; an elderly woman leaning on a wooden cane, her hair extending for millions of miles like gnarled roots anchoring into the void; and a cold-faced youth. These three were Paragons.

The other two were a seductive woman in red robes and a towering rock giant wreathed in flames—both Four Heavens Realm Gods, yet their might rivaled that of the Paragons.

“Mo Xue, your divine heart is collapsing. You have no hope of Transcendence. Why fight us for the True Divine Artifact?” roared the flaming rock giant, his body ablaze.

“Mo Xue!” the colossal black serpent hissed. “Surrender the artifact, and you may still reincarnate. Otherwise, even that chance will be lost!”

“I truly don’t understand where you found the courage to deceive me,” the cold-faced youth said, eyes burning with fury. “Mo Xue, submit now, and I will still treat you fairly.”

Surrounded by these five terrifying figures, Mo Xue only laughed. “Threats? I, Mo Xue, have roamed the Divine Realm for over a billion years. Now, with my divine heart on the verge of collapse, what do I have left to fear?”

“Resist, and even reincarnation will be denied to you,” the cold-faced youth snarled.

“Reincarnation? How many Four Heavens Realm Gods succeed in that?” Mo Xue sneered. “Spare me your empty threats.”

Back in the underground hall of the Inspector’s estate…

“Xueying! Xueying!”

Dongbo Xueying, deep in cultivation, heard Jing Qiu’s urgent voice from a connected chamber.

“Hm?” He opened his eyes as the door to the adjacent chamber slid open. Jing Qiu rushed in, her face pale with distress.

“What’s wrong? Why so flustered?” Dongbo Xueying asked, studying his wife.

Jing Qiu trembled with anxiety. “Xueying… my father is in trouble.”
