Chapter 1378: Finally Attaining Hunyuan (Part 1)

Dongbo Xueying’s mastery of the soul had already been unparalleled in the boundless Hunyuan Space. Now, his Path of the Illusory Realm of the Void had reached the Ultimate level! Moreover, he was the first among all living beings to cultivate a soul-related path to its Ultimate form!

Any path that reaches the Ultimate level grants its wielder myriad techniques. Ordinary cultivators who attain the Ultimate realm, for instance, can completely conceal their auras, obscure their karma, and greatly enhance their escape methods, among other abilities.

But a path related to the soul…

Reaching the Ultimate level had never been achieved before.

Dongbo Xueying was the first. Upon his breakthrough, his soul effortlessly merged with the world’s origin. As long as the world’s origin remained unbroken, his soul would never perish. With a single thought, he could manifest a physical body anywhere in this world! By channeling a portion of the world’s origin power into himself, his every movement could harness the full might of the world’s energy, causing his combat prowess to skyrocket.

His strength was determined by the world itself.

The stronger the world, the greater the power he could unleash! And this was merely one of the formidable aspects of achieving the Ultimate in the soul path. There were other dimensions yet to be explored, as Dongbo Xueying had immediately rushed to rescue others after his breakthrough, leaving him little time to delve deeper.

With one hand, Dongbo Xueying gripped a spear, condensed from the world’s origin power and shrouded in the world’s energy, radiating immense might.

With his other hand, he continuously plucked cultivators from danger!

While manipulating the world’s energy to envelop tens of thousands of cultivators, drastically increasing their escape speed, he also diligently gathered them into his palm, preventing the Abyssal Sea Master from crushing them beneath his feet.

“Damn it!”

The Abyssal Sea Master seethed with fury.

He sought to slaughter the cultivators, but the speed of this Flying Snow Divine Emperor far surpassed his own, effortlessly rescuing them.

Even when he unleashed countless tentacles in a frenzied attempt to slaughter the remaining cultivators… the Flying Snow Divine Emperor would instantly appear to save them.

“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…” Ever since Dongbo Xueying adopted a cautious approach, maintaining a controlled distance from the Abyssal Sea Master, he could always intervene in time to rescue the cultivators before the monstrous being could strike.

“Have the guts to fight me!” the Abyssal Sea Master roared in rage. “Stop running away! Face me! Come at me if you dare!”

Whoosh.

Under the flailing tentacles, the white-robed youth’s figure blurred, evading every strike with ease.

His speed was simply too fast!

“Damn it, damn these chains!” The Abyssal Sea Master thrashed all his tentacles, but the taut chains binding him severely hindered his movements. Not only did they drastically weaken his strength, but they also crippled his speed. In his current state, even a newly ascended High-Level Hunyuan Lifeform could easily toy with him.

Filled with bitter resentment, he watched as Dongbo Xueying flitted like a ghost, effortlessly rescuing cultivators while he blindly chased after them, unable to kill a single one.

“How did it come to this?” The Abyssal Sea Master couldn’t comprehend it.

With the world’s energy enveloping the cultivators, their escape speed increased dramatically. Finally, some began to break free from the Abyssal Sea Master’s domain of rules.

The moment they crossed the boundary—

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…

One by one, the cultivators vanished without a trace.

Dongbo Xueying cast a distant glance and smiled faintly. It was he who had used the world’s energy to teleport them away! Although the rules of this sacred cultivation world suppressed teleportation for outsiders, as a wielder of the world’s power, he was exempt from such restrictions. As a World Emissary capable of harnessing a portion of the origin energy, this feat was trivial for him.

“Hmm?” The Abyssal Sea Master also noticed, observing in bewilderment as the cultivators who escaped his domain disappeared into thin air.

“They got away?” The Abyssal Sea Master immediately moved, attempting to extend his domain to recapture them.

However, the cultivators were fleeing in all directions.

If he pursued one group, the others would swiftly escape beyond his domain’s reach.

“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…” One after another, the cultivators crossed the boundary and were teleported away. The Abyssal Sea Master was powerless to stop it. His domain of rules clashed with the sacred world’s own laws, limiting its expansion.

Dongbo Xueying rescued more and more.

With one hand, he gathered nearly two thousand cultivators, while the rest were safely teleported away after escaping the domain with the aid of the world’s energy.

“The last one.” Dongbo Xueying plucked the final cultivator into his palm, then glanced back at the infuriated Abyssal Sea Master, who had ceased his pursuit.

“I’ll return for you shortly.” With that, Dongbo Xueying transformed into a streak of light, darting into the distance.

At full speed, he was far swifter.

The moment he exited the Abyssal Sea Master’s domain, he teleported away.

He reappeared before an ancient palace, standing alone amidst twisted space.

This was the “Reception Palace,” the most enigmatic location in the sacred cultivation world.

Every cultivator sent to this world arrived here first, before being dispatched to one of the five gathering points. Yet, once they left, despite roaming the world to hunt, none could ever find the Reception Palace again.

Now, however, the area around the Reception Palace bustled with cultivators.

“The Reception Palace!”

“We’ve actually returned to the Reception Palace!”

The cultivators marveled at their surroundings.

“Did the Flying Snow Divine Emperor send us here? I thought teleportation was impossible in this world. How were we moved?”

“What level of power has the Flying Snow Divine Emperor reached now?”

“He’s unbelievably strong—able to confront a World-Class Hunyuan Lifeform head-on! Even weakened, this is astounding. I doubt even the Nine-Headed Serpent Ancestor, after ascending to High-Level Hunyuan, could withstand such a foe.”

Discussions buzzed among them.

Having witnessed the birth of a World-Class Hunyuan Lifeform, endured its rampage, and narrowly escaped death, their hearts surged with emotion. But what truly baffled them was the Flying Snow Divine Emperor. They had seen him crushed to death—only for him to return, stronger than ever!

“The Flying Snow Divine Emperor’s strength is beyond our comprehension.”

“He must have undergone a tremendous breakthrough. Perhaps if we attain Hunyuan, we might grasp a fraction of his power.” They conversed, unaware that even as Hunyuan beings, they might never fully understand.

Whoosh—

A towering white-robed figure, eight thousand miles tall, appeared beside them. Gently uncurling his left hand, he revealed nearly two thousand cultivators in his palm. After a moment of confusion, they bowed deeply in gratitude.

“We thank the Flying Snow Divine Emperor for saving our lives!”

“Our deepest gratitude for your mercy, Flying Snow Divine Emperor!”

They spoke in unison.

Even the ten thousand cultivators previously teleported here bowed in reverence. The newly rescued stepped out of Dongbo Xueying’s palm, and he retracted his hand, shrinking back to normal size, matching the others.

Whoosh.

A tall, lean man in black robes appeared, his eyes gleaming as he studied Dongbo Xueying.

“Have you attained Hunyuan?” the black-robed man couldn’t help but ask.

“Not yet,” Dongbo Xueying replied.

The black-robed man’s expression flickered with disappointment and confusion.

“I’ve brought all the cultivators here. You may send them away for now,” Dongbo Xueying said.

“Leave it to me,” the black-robed man declared confidently. Now that they were at the Reception Palace, he had no doubts.

Dongbo Xueying nodded slightly. “I’ll return to deal with that Abyssal Sea Master.”

“Be careful,” the black-robed man cautioned. Though he couldn’t fathom Dongbo Xueying’s current state or power, he recognized the undeniable reality of his strength. This Flying Snow Divine Emperor was destined to become a supreme existence in the boundless Hunyuan Space. “He’s still a World-Class Hunyuan Lifeform, capable of terrifying techniques. You’ve only exchanged a single blow with him—don’t let your guard down.”

“Don’t worry.” Dongbo Xueying smiled.

Fear had never been in his nature.

As long as the world’s origin endured, he was immortal within this realm.

His gaze swept over the assembled cultivators, lingering briefly on familiar faces like Fengyun Yiye. Silently, he lamented the loss of thousands among their ranks.

“Let’s go.” With a thought, he teleported away.

In the desolate wilderness.

The Abyssal Sea Master sat motionless, chains burrowing into his flesh. He waited—for rescue, for vengeance.

“I couldn’t even exterminate those weak insects. But how did the Flying Snow Divine Emperor gain such power?” He pondered, still unable to grasp the truth.

Whoosh.

In the distance, the towering white-robed figure reappeared.

“You’ve come.” The Abyssal Sea Master rose abruptly, his eyes brimming with killing intent.

“Indeed. I had to save them earlier—apologies for disappointing you.” Dongbo Xueying smiled faintly. “Now, we can fight to our hearts’ content!”

A battle with a World-Class Hunyuan Lifeform was a rare opportunity, one he wouldn’t waste.

Though the foe was weakened by the sealing array, this was fortuitous. Were the Abyssal Sea Master at full strength, Dongbo Xueying’s partial control over the world’s origin power would likely be insufficient to oppose him.

“Fine. You saved most of those ants, but it matters little. Killing you would be worth more than slaughtering countless of them.” The Abyssal Sea Master’s cold eyes gleamed with malice.

“Come at me.” Dongbo Xueying raised his spear.

In his home, the Chaos Void.

Dongbo Xueying stood alone amidst the boundless void. Though he had rushed to the rescue in the sacred cultivation world without time to explore his newly attained Ultimate Path of the Illusory Realm of the Void, his avatars in both the Heart Realm Continent and the Chaos Void were meticulously studying it, seeking new applications.

“The Illusory Realm of the Void.”

He extended a finger, upon which a radiant sphere materialized. Within it, a world took shape, evolving rapidly, birthing countless lives at a pace far exceeding the outside flow of time.

“How can I wield this? What advantages does it grant me? How can it aid in combat? What enhancements can it provide to my physical form?”

Thoughts whirled in his mind.

Sparks of inspiration flickered endlessly.
