Chapter 1177: Emperor Jun’s Rampage

The homeland, the Primordial Void.

Yet here, it was far more tranquil than the Heartworld Continent—though this was the eerie calm before the storm!

The supreme powerhouse of the entire Primordial Void, the Sacred Master, devoted himself entirely to cultivation, absorbing the faith of countless denizens from the vast Ancient Sacred Realm and converting it into primal power through his sacred avatars. In other sacred realms and chaotic lands, innumerable followers also continuously offered their faith to him. The Sacred Master had been amassing strength, preparing for the final ‘assault’ when the Great Destruction descended, attempting to seize control of the Supreme Laws in this era and ascend as a Primordial Lifeform. If he failed, he would have to wait for the next epoch.

As for the other Cosmic Deities, like Dongbo Xueying and the rest, they too were immersed in deep cultivation.

Without reaching the Ultimate realm, none could withstand the destruction and rebirth of a Source World.

Meanwhile, in the Labyrinth Corridor.

Within a sealed space, a black flower floated, its petals tightly closed.

After an age, the black flower slowly bloomed, revealing a sinister, gaunt figure seated cross-legged within—a long, scaled tail coiled behind him. This was a Destruction Fiend, the current leader of all such beings in the Labyrinth Corridor—Emperor Jun.

Jun slowly opened his eyes, his pupils shimmering with an eerie light.

“The Ultimate realm—I’ve finally attained it!” Jun could barely contain his exhilaration. He gazed at the space before him, where countless threads of power intertwined, all now under his absolute control. With effortless ease, he commanded this supreme force.

“Having reached the Ultimate realm, at the very least, I can endure the Great Destruction of this Source World and survive into the next epoch.” Jun narrowed his eyes in contemplation. “According to my predecessors, this Source World harbors two other Ultimates—the Stone Sage and the Sacred Master. The latter was once a Destruction Fiend from an ancient era. But in the end, only one can seize the Supreme Laws. Both are my rivals.”

Now that he had attained the Ultimate, Jun was already scheming to break free from his shackles and ascend as a Primordial Lifeform.

To become a Primordial Lifeform…

The most common path was to dominate an entire Source World, harnessing its colossal power to elevate oneself to a higher state of existence.

The alternative was to defy the heavens through sheer strength—cultivating oneself to forcibly transcend these constraints. Once achieved, one could effortlessly command a Source World.

“The Stone Sage and the Sacred Master have been Ultimates for eons. Their foundations are far deeper than mine.”

“I must seize my chance. In this epoch, I was born of the Supreme Laws themselves, destined for destruction. The more I annihilate, the greater the boons the Supreme Laws will bestow.” Jun’s thoughts darkened. “When I strike, I must leave no room for the Sacred Master or the Stone Sage to interfere. I must hasten the Great Destruction of this Source World.”

Once the Great Destruction came…

All non-Ultimates would perish—even the Destruction Fiends would be obliterated.

But Jun cared not.

His sole concern was the Supreme Laws’ grand reward. His path of destruction aligned with their will.

Yet for countless cultivators like Dongbo Xueying, surrender was not an option. All living beings clung to survival, fighting tooth and nail to preserve this epoch.

“First, I shall consolidate my strength.”

“When the time comes, I will strike.” A cold smile curled Jun’s lips. “Though the Sacred Master and the Stone Sage are my equals, they cannot threaten or hinder me.”

Merely tens of thousands of years later, Jun deemed his power fully consolidated.

“It is time.”

Jun grinned savagely.

*Riiip—* The void around him twisted violently, forming a black hole. With a single step, Jun vanished into its depths.

He reappeared above the Eternal Sacred Realm.

“The Eternal Sacred Realm.”

Emerging from the black hole, Jun gazed down upon the vast wilderness below, where a distant tribe thrived. Farther still loomed a colossal city.

*Heh.*

Jun sneered, his segmented, scaled tail flicking ominously.

Then, he raised his clawed hand.

*RIIIP—*

The boundless void before him warped violently. The earth itself twisted and shattered, revealing the chaotic void beneath the Eternal Sacred Realm. The distortion spread in all directions—the tribe vanished instantly, and the distant city was consumed just as swiftly.

Countless lives within, including a Chaos Realm city lord, were erased without resistance—as though wiped from a canvas.

Jun’s assault was merciless. Slaughter was not his aim; his true goal was the annihilation of the entire Eternal Sacred Realm. Built painstakingly over eons by the Witch Ancestor and Realm Ancestor, even an Ultimate would need time to dismantle it completely.

In the Ancient Sacred Realm.

The Sacred Master, as an Ultimate, sensed Jun’s unrestrained power the moment it was unleashed.

Clad in black gauze, his gaze pierced the void, locking onto the devastation in the Eternal Sacred Realm.

“He’s reached the Ultimate?” The Sacred Master’s expression twisted in shock.

Though both were Destruction Fiends, he felt no joy—only fury.

“You seek to hasten destruction for the Supreme Laws’ favor? To strengthen your claim over them?” Cold light flashed in the Sacred Master’s eyes as he vanished.

Even the Stone Sage, who had chosen the path of defiance through strength, thwarted the Sacred Master at every turn. If the Sacred Master ever seized the Supreme Laws, the Stone Sage’s fate would be his to command.

And Jun? He would almost certainly not take the arduous path of defiance.

The Stone Sage, a body-refining cultivator, had no choice but to defy the heavens through strength.

Thus…

Jun would be the Sacred Master’s greater rival.

*Hmm?*

Slumbering within the Primal Sun, the Stone Sage’s senses remained razor-sharp.

The eruption of that terrifying power—distinct from the Sacred Master’s—jolted him awake.

His massive form rose from the sun’s core.

“A new Ultimate? And a Destruction Fiend?” The wizened old man stepped forward, vanishing from the Primal Sun. He, too, would not allow another Ultimate to claim the Supreme Laws’ boon so easily.

“How could this be?”

“We must seek our master’s aid.” The Realm Ancestor and Witch Ancestor, leaders of the Eternal Sacred Realm, sensed the calamity immediately. But against Jun’s rampage, they were powerless.

Unlike the Sacred Master, who sought faith rather than annihilation, Jun cared only for destruction.

Even if the two ancestors intervened, Jun would unleash devastation on a scale they could never shield the weak from.

“Cease!” A frigid roar echoed—the Sacred Master had arrived.

“This Source World nears its Great Destruction. Why hasten its demise?” The Stone Sage appeared as well.

Together, they struck.

“Sacred Master, the great demon of the Primordial Void, now playing savior?” Jun laughed, teleporting halfway across the Eternal Sacred Realm to wreak havoc elsewhere.

*BOOM.*

The Stone Sage materialized beside Jun, his fist crashing down.

Jun merely smirked. The space around him twisted, dispersing most of the force. The remnants he dodged with ghostly grace.

*CRACK—*

Grey thunder descended as the Sacred Master lunged with his spear, intent on stopping Jun.

“Hahaha—”

Jun’s laughter rang out as he weaved through space, defending and evading without a scratch.

As fellow Ultimates, their survival skills were peerless. If Jun chose to flee, neither the Sacred Master nor the Stone Sage could easily harm him.

*RIIP—*

Yet Jun continued his onslaught. Each strike warped vast swathes of the void. His attacks dwarfed the Sacred Master’s thunder and the Stone Sage’s close combat prowess. For now, they could only watch as Jun ravaged the realm.

*Sshink.*

A sword light flashed—unexpected, unstoppable.

It pierced Jun’s back and emerged through his chest.

Jun stared in disbelief at the blade protruding from his body before turning to face its wielder—a white-haired man.

“Sword Master?” Jun hissed.

“Sword Master?” The Stone Sage and Sacred Master, who had been helpless against Jun, gaped at the scene. That silent, lethal strike had gone unnoticed until it struck.

The threat radiating from the Sword Master eclipsed even Jun’s.
