Chapter 88: The Finest Grade

“What is a Fine Jade?” Xiao Bud asked curiously. Everyone felt dizzy with disbelief; how could this little imp know nothing about it? Could he really be a wild kid from an isolated jungle?

“Alright, wait until you dig out the Treasure Bone first.” The old man scowled as black lines ran across his forehead.

“Oh, okay!” Xiao Bud nodded enthusiastically, he came to the Spiritual World Realm precisely for training and learning purposes. From Willlow God, he learned that everything appearing here symbolically aligns with its real counterpart in life. Because he grew up secluded in Da Huang, completely unaware about the outside world, this experience was perfect for him to explore.

“How come he even doesn’t understand Fine Jade?” More onlookers came rushing over upon hearing the word, pointing and gawking at this odd creature as if at an exotic species.

Xiao Bud, rhythmically tapping while squatting atop a colossal green rock that spanned approximately ten feet square, studied several Glyph Bones, deeply focused.

“Top-grade marvel! You can’t be serious about excavating channel treasures?!”

“This boy sure has a knack for riches! Let’s wait and see whether or not this can really be done!”

“Ha! Indeed laughably audacious! Whose child is this running amok?” Watching for the comedy, the crowd was entertained by the audacious yet innocent greed.

An adult, amused, offered with sarcasm, “Hey buddy! Wanna borrow my excavating tool?” Xiao Bud, not lifting his gaze from the glyph study, simply replied, “I’ll take it; give me one twice the weight—twenty thousand jin hammer.”

The surrounding bystanders looked stupefied and muttered among themselves on his absurdity, commenting “He can’t be serious—it’s a hammer, not a house! Who crafts something so heavy to start with? Who even would wield it, especially one of his build? Asking openly for a hammer like a man of confidence, wow!”

“I don’t mind lending you this instead; just consider the one weighing two thousand!” The adult tossed a hammer, the head like a millstone, crashing into their sight and leaving behind a sizable pit.

Xiao Bud shrugged his head not raised, still concentrating, and continued probing the mysterious stones “That might work.” A crowd of onlookers now turned into a stunned gallery; did this boy ever grasp social subtleties?

“Fair point; you take this!” Snapped at but not discouraged by the crowd response Xiao Bud gave his thanks.

“But let me ask: if all tools here mirror spirits, does this hammer represent your spiritual might?”

“Focus on your hammer! Just keep hammering without question,” the irksome adult dismissed.

Oblivous to humor’s ebb Xiao Bod plopped from the rocks grabbing the large hammer while being cautioned by an elder about wielding weapons. However the youth’s eyes were fixed onto an elderly person holding an extravagantly feathered bird resting their shoulders:

“Patriarch? Is this creature an essence of yours? Transformed perhaps?”

“Focus on hammering!” Annoyance now shared by many turned their faces stormy.

Muttering in defeat he wondered aloud, questioning the reluctance in assisting rather than humorously engaging.

When Xiao Bud swung he made a colossal impact that made even the bystanders cringe: a resounding clank followed—then a rhythmic metallic chorus that battered the hearing sense amidst flying sparks.

It was precisely the Spiritual World at play where presence feels tangible; perception indistinguishable from the corporeal.

Suddenly “clang!” followed by dislocation of hammer head from handle marked by an outcry: his strength left many stunned and the donor sour-faced, mourning tool destruction.

“But you insisted: no repay needed,” Xiao Bud reminded with a worried tone at the damage despite the crowd chuckling with amusement.

“You do aim to crack channel treasures don’t you? Or are we simply witnesses?” A voice teased the ambitious attempt.

“I seek insights. First-time explorer, clueless about breaking barriers.” He looked for wisdom in guidance. The query left others stumped; why break this puzzle for which answers eluded all, challenging even mythical beasts.

Yet amid scoffing came a youth who cheered, “Go on boy push with everything, let fate cheer.”

The gentle girl elaborately conveyed wisdom: only legends would defy Spiritual realm laws set by the ancient gods. This realm nurtures potent future prospects where even now unbreakable boundaries may crack, yielding boons under guarded conditions. For instance, this Initial Region restricted any prowess manifestation merely to Blood Moving Realm strength despite many having exceeded far.

“Around here even gods limit power. To surpass means solely testing the bounds!” another emphasized.

Yet undeterred, Xiao Bod lit up upon realizing the possibility, sparking the onlooker’s skepticism. Was such ambition even feasible? How innocent was he?

“I’ll shatter the bounds of sheer velocity, my speed knows none!” He declared before his figure glowed, bone characters forming around—swirling rapidly around engulfing the surrounding space.

Gasping at brilliance, they watched him cloaked from view as dazzling auras overpowered stone and enveloped them. However instead of using a treasure, Xiao Bod relied strictly on his physical prowess against rock.

After a series of forceful hits followed deafening crashes resonating through the atmosphere while fractures began appearing.

“Got ’em! Look!” Xiao Bud rejoiced triumphantly collecting remnants—only to watch the other treasures scatter into flight alongside the rocks.

“Hey, come back here,” grumbled the boy at his incomplete rewards while a shocked mass watched: Could this imp actually challenge odds?

“Impossible!” the audience cried, but his complaints were louder: a single gem while others flew away?

“This is mine! All mine,” Xiao Bud insisted stubbornly. A frustrated response followed: “But is that not achievement enough despite rule-testing actions?

“Wait, does this mean another try will yield more?”

With that, Xiao Bud’s audience could only gawk at the innocent persistence of one audaciously unafraid of the task set before.
