Chapter 592: The Curtain Falls

“Child, do you truly believe you can kill me? Are these just the reckless words of youth?” Huang Yu said with a faint smile, holding a golden small hammer, with lightning crackling in the air.

Shi Hao sighed and gazed into the sky, looking toward the distant horizon—the direction of Shi Village. After this battle, would he still be able to return? Would he still see those dear ones again?

Then, he looked into the void, as though attempting to pierce through the fabric of heaven and earth to see his parents at the Immortal Mountain, wanting to speak to them just a few words.

He fell silent, feeling a deep sorrow and many reluctant feelings. He had been forced to this point—after this battle, would there still be a “Little Shi” in this world?

“You are so young, yet your talent is extraordinary. To die is such a waste. I can truly grant you life, as long as you serve me for a hundred years,” Huang Yu said with a faint smirk curling his lips.

“Today, it is either your death or mine!” Shi Hao declared, his voice like ringing bronze, his eyes ablaze.

“Stubborn fool. Pitiful! Since you insist on dying, I shall grant your wish!” Huang Yu mocked, his tone filled with contempt.

In the next moment, he charged forward, unleashing every means at his disposal. Though calm on the surface, he was actually extremely cautious, fearing that Shi Hao might indeed possess some unique technique.

Huang Yu was a man of great caution. Though his cultivation was profound and his power immense, he refused to let his guard down, even against a junior like Shi Hao.

Countless bolts of lightning tore across the sky, dense and numerous, covering the entire mountain range above as the golden hammer smashed down!

“Crash!”

In an instant, countless mountains below were shattered into ruins. Boulders pierced the skies, mountains crumbled, turning into ash and powder.

The infinite lightning intertwined, forming an ocean of electricity. The sound shook the entire Fire Nation, a shocking and terrifying sight!

But this was not all. Huang Yu activated various great divine techniques, transformed into his true form—a golden immortal crane flapping its wings. Countless golden feathers rained down from the sky, transforming into divine arrows aimed at Shi Hao’s physical body.

“Boom!”

At the same time, countless golden pillars shot into the sky—manifestations of the Golden Dao principles. Each pillar burned with divine flames, covered with endless mystical glyphs.

Shi Hao let out a long roar and summoned all of his divine weapons, clashing against his opponent. In an instant, the battlefield erupted with power.

The two warriors engaged in a cataclysmic battle, so fierce that the heavens and earth paled, and terrifying omens filled the skies. From hundreds of miles away, people could see the skies blaze with incomparable brilliance, overshadowing even the sun and moon.

“Boom!”

A golden bird talon tore through space, nearly ripping open Shi Hao’s neck, leaving behind several dreadful wounds, blood gushing from them.

The “Golden Immortal Body Armor,” which wrapped around his body, lacked coverage near his face—an area so small, yet Huang Yu seized the opportunity, nearly killing Little Shi instantly.

Shi Hao’s eyes flared with fury as he activated his divine sword, clashing repeatedly with the golden talons. Each collision echoed like thunder.

In the distance, many powerful cultivators were drawn by the commotion, arriving near the battlefield. Seeing the terrifying divine energy fluctuations and the boiling heavens, they were all stunned into silence, trembling with fear.

“Little Shi has come to our Fire Nation to fight the last remaining god. I truly hope he can win.”

“The situation isn’t looking good. He is at a disadvantage and in grave danger!”

All were shaken, realizing that this ancient deity was too powerful. After igniting his divine flame, his entire body radiated brilliance. With a single wave of his hand, the heavens and earth resonated with him—how could anyone hope to oppose such might?

“Boom!”

Huang Yu flapped his wings and collided with Shi Hao, causing blood to pour from his mouth, nose, ears, and eyes.

The situation was dire. Shi Hao did his utmost but ultimately couldn’t match the opponent.

“Hand over your life!” Huang Yu roared. In his hand appeared another weapon—a golden fan woven from feathers. With a fierce swing, a hurricane erupted.

This wind was terrifying, golden in color. With one sweep, dozens of mountains below turned to dust. Anyone caught within would be turned into ash.

It sent chills down people’s spines.

Shi Hao was struck as if by a lightning bolt. Though protected by divine artifacts, he was still thrown violently through the air. His body shook violently, and blood gushed from his mouth. This time, he was caught in the hurricane and flung an unknown distance away.

“Ha! So you want to escape? Then die here!” Huang Yu shouted, his gaze icy, overflowing with murderous intent. There was no need for any more pretense.

Indeed, Shi Hao was trying to escape. He wished to get closer to the Shi Kingdom, even hoping to catch a glimpse of Shi Village once more. There were so many cherished memories there—each recollection bringing a warm glow to his heart.

Yet, he knew he couldn’t get close. If Huang Yu discovered Shi Village, disaster would surely follow!

Even protected by Willow God’s formation, if Huang Yu learned of its existence, he would certainly act cautiously, surrounding the village from the outside and starving its inhabitants, carefully plotting against that sacred land.

This fierce bird was cunning and excessively cautious, a truly difficult opponent.

“Do you intend to die in the Shi Kingdom?” Huang Yu sneered, having read Shi Hao’s intentions. He saw Shi Hao fleeing while coughing up blood, attempting to enter Shi Kingdom’s borders.

Shi Hao ignored him, eventually bleeding even more severely, his injuries worsening.

Finally, he found a massive city. He stepped onto an altar, activated a passage, and vanished from Fire Nation.

“Little Shi is in a great battle, spanning two nations. Now at the most critical moment, who can lend him aid?!” News spread from Fire Nation, causing a massive storm across the world.

People knew that when the two were found again, the battle would likely already be over.

“Boom!”

Shi Hao appeared on Shi Kingdom’s soil, bleeding along the way, retreating while still fighting.

Huang Yu’s expression carried a cold smirk. He actually hoped Shi Hao would keep fleeing until he collapsed from exhaustion. That would save him effort. He was naturally suspicious, wary that Shi Hao might have some secret means to turn the tide.

“Three Lives Mountain… I’ve arrived here,” Shi Hao whispered softly. His entire body was soaked in blood. Unexpectedly, he had returned to this mountain range where he once secluded himself for some time.

He gazed in the direction of Shi Village, lost in thought. Then he murmured, “Father, Mother, I wonder if we will ever meet again.”

Finally, he looked into the sky and said, “I have yet to fight my way into the Upper Realm, to face those Divine Heirs and Heavenly Talents, to contend with them all. I truly cannot accept this!”

At this moment, Huang Yu arrived, having pursued him closely. He sneered coldly and said, “It’s time for you to depart.”

“You depart first!” Shi Hao snapped, his voice sharp and unyielding.

At that moment, suddenly, a surge of boundless flames burst forth from Shi Hao’s body, as if he had ignited the heavens themselves, a brilliance so great that it dimmed the sun and moon.

A powerful and mysterious energy wave burst forth, sweeping in all directions.

Shi Hao lunged toward Huang Yu. Around him, ten Celestial Cavities burned together, forming a sinister and terrifying aura.

“Living Sacrifice!” He uttered this softly, like thunder rolling in the ears.

With no other options left, he would gamble with his own life. During his escape, he had been gathering strength and momentum for this single decisive moment.

The “Living Sacrifice” was a concept Shi Hao had explored before, during the awakening of his ten Celestial Cavities. Back then, even the Willow God had been moved, saying it defied the balance of Heaven itself.

But how easy was it to perform a Living Sacrifice on a deity, especially one as mighty as Huang Yu?

He would sacrifice himself as firewood, to ignite and consume his enemy.

Shi Hao charged toward the old servant of the Immortal Hall. Behind him, the wings of the Kun Peng flapped violently, pushing his speed to the peak of his life.

“You…” Huang Yu was horrified. The ten burning Celestial Cavities seemed to ignite everything, resonating with his own. They intended to drag him into the sacrificial ritual, forcing him to retreat.

The ten Celestial Cavities, connected as one, became even more terrifying after the Living Sacrifice. They transformed into a domain-like prison, merging together with the old servant and trapping him within, like a quagmire.

And that was Huang Yu. Had it been anyone else, they would have been trapped already, unable to move.

“Roar!” Huang Yu howled, his silver-white hair flying violently as he struggled desperately. He had no desire to be dragged into this Living Sacrifice with Shi Hao.

The ten connected Celestial Cavities burned furiously, like life itself boiling. With the enhancement of the Immortal Golden Armor, this sacrificial power reached an extreme level—one capable of igniting even a god’s Celestial Cavities!

“Seal it!” Huang Yu roared, finally panicking, for a portion of his own Celestial Cavities had involuntarily emerged, about to be sacrificed alongside Shi Hao.

Around him, the golden hammer, the golden fan, even the ring on his finger all appeared, glowing brightly, attempting to suppress Shi Hao.

“Rise!” Shi Hao roared in response. His broken sword, national guardian deity, beast hide, and other divine artifacts emerged as well, clashing against Huang Yu’s treasures. Shi Hao sacrificed himself, determined to drag Huang Yu down with him.

This act was essentially a gamble of nine deaths for one life, almost impossible to survive.

Only a single thread of hope remained, and even that might slip through his fingers. After all, he was facing a god—without sacrificing himself, how could he possibly destroy such an enemy?

Huang Yu, now in great alarm, began chanting incantations. Finally, he cried out, “The Immortal Hall Descends!”

A hazy phantom materialized from his body, exuding a mighty force as it pressed toward Shi Hao, threatening to tear him apart, his flames nearly extinguished.

This power was terrifying beyond measure!

“What… is this?” Shi Hao was stunned.

The shadow gradually became more solid—a colossal bronze Immortal Hall, immense and majestic, radiating an oppressive power as though the might of Immortal Dao was cascading upon them.

“This is a phantom of the Immortal Hall. A high-ranking master once infused it into my body. I never imagined it would actually serve a purpose in the end,” Huang Yu said darkly, his face pale.

Shi Hao was astonished. Was this the true Immortal Hall? It wasn’t merely a name for an organization—it had a physical counterpart in the Upper Realm. Though this was a hazy projection, it exuded a boundless and awe-inspiring aura.

Moreover, there were many other phantom halls floating around it, though smaller and less clear.

“Boom!”

Shi Hao not only spat blood from his mouth but blood also poured from his pores. Blood flowed from every orifice, his whole body on the verge of disintegration.

“Originally, it was nine deaths with a ten percent chance of survival. But now, that last hope is vanishing,” Shi Hao murmured to himself.

“Die in peace. It’s no shame to fall beneath the projection of the Immortal Hall—it is a treasure of the Immortal Dao!” Huang Yu sneered coldly, having regained his composure.

“Just a mere projection, and you dare to suppress me. You truly underestimate me. If I survive, one day I shall go to the Upper Realm and shatter that Bronze Immortal Hall!” Shi Hao declared.

Huang Yu’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “You? You cannot. And you’ll never get that chance. Your life ends here.”

“Then I shall face certain death…” Shi Hao paused, then raised his voice, shaking the heavens with his final roar, “But I will bring you with me!”

“You’re just dreaming!” Huang Yu’s heart skipped a beat. He was wary, preparing to retreat.

“Imperial Bone, open!” Shi Hao roared. In this final moment, his entire body radiated brilliance. Especially his chest, which exploded with light, drowning everything in radiant energy.

In the final moments of destruction, Shi Hao remained calm, softly murmuring to himself, “Shi Village, how I long to return, to see all of you once more. But I cannot. And Father, Mother, we just reunited, yet now I must leave again… I cannot bear it.”
