Chapter 580: Shattered Divine Courage

Shi Hao dashed across the land like a faint ethereal shadow, leaping over ranges of colossal mountains in search of a grand and magnificent ancient city. Only a place of such magnitude might possess a sacrificial altar capable of spatial transmission.

The Huang Domain was simply too vast. Even someone as powerful as Shi Hao could not possibly arrive at his destination within several days if he relied solely on flight.

During his journey, he was slightly delayed while searching for a transmission formation and was nearly caught by the Three Deities from behind, suffering grievous injuries. He continuously coughed out blood and nearly perished.

At last, Shi Hao discovered a colossal city in the northern region of the continent. He soon located a sacrificial altar, ascended upon it without hesitation, and immediately activated a golden spatial channel to escape.

“He slipped away again,” murmured Yang Li with a dark expression. After chasing for so long without capturing him, it was an embarrassment for them.

A golden skeleton, a powerful being from the Netherworld, stepped onto the altar and meticulously examined it. By analyzing the residual glyphs, he deduced the direction Shi Hao had fled.

“We must capture him quickly before others get their hands on him,” said the Pangolin, who immediately activated another channel and was the first to leap inside.

Bear in mind, seven deities who had successfully lit their divine fires had descended to this world. The remaining four would likely begin their pursuit shortly. If Shi Hao fell into their hands, it would be disastrous.

Space twisted and blurred, and they emerged from the channel, scanning the new surroundings before resuming their relentless chase.

Shi Hao burned with fierce determination; his speed was extraordinary. Employing the Seventy-Two Transformations, he transformed into a Kun Peng, his speed further enhanced by the Shrinking-Earth Talisman. In the blink of an eye, he vanished into the horizon.

His speed now surpassed that of the Three Deities!

However, their divine senses were keen. They had locked onto him long ago—their perception attuned to his essence. Should Shi Hao halt or pause for even a moment, they would close in immediately.

At this rate, Shi Hao would eventually collapse from exhaustion and die.

“Finally, I’m almost there!” Shi Hao halted some distance away and quickly began to meditate, restoring his vital energy and spiritual essence.

After this brief rest, he took out a handful of brilliant Magic Sunflower Seeds, each gleaming like a black pearl and radiating a multicolored glow. He popped them into his mouth and swallowed them with his blood.

These so-called “sunflower seeds” possessed miraculous healing properties. His coughing ceased, and his wounded body gradually healed. Light radiated from him, glyphs shining across his body, restoring his energy and vitality.

As he was about to enter the fated location, he had to prepare his body and mind to the peak of readiness. Failing to do so might result in his immediate demise due to insufficiency of vital energies.

“You dare to consume Magic Sunflower Seeds? No wonder you’re cursed—they have good reason to kill you!” The Pangolin was the first to arrive, its silver light flashing as it shot forth a bolt of lightning toward Shi Hao.

Indeed, they were astonished. Who would dare eat the seeds of the Garden of the Demon Sunflower like mere pills? If word of this got out, it would provoke an onslaught of retaliation.

Naturally, Shi Hao evaded immediately at the first sign of danger and disappeared at top speed.

After such a prolonged chase, though the Three Deities appeared calm, they had already grown quite displeased. To them, this mere warrior at the Formation Array Stage was not even worth the effort. It was humiliating.

But the truth remained—his speed was simply unmatched. With the Kun Peng form and the Shrinking-Earth Talisman, even deities who had lit their divine fires couldn’t match him.

In the end, the only way the Three Deities could keep up was through sheer endurance and their powerful spiritual sense to lock onto his trail—otherwise, they would have lost him completely.

Shi Hao wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth; in an instant, he had traveled dozens of miles, then with another flap of his wings, hundreds more. He reached an ancient land where the mountains rose and fell endlessly, beyond the horizon.

These peaks were peculiar in form—resembling mounds or colossal graves. One after another, they stretched into an immense and endless range.

Without hesitation, Shi Hao leaped over them and rushed into the depths.

The Three Deities pursued relentlessly, arriving in the blink of an eye like three spectral shadows. A storm accompanied them as they dashed forward, uprooting and shattering vast trees merely with the winds they generated.

“Hm?” The golden skeleton from the Netherworld was startled. Though the sun shone brightly here, he distinctly sensed a chilling aura imperceptible to others.

Perhaps it should be called “Grand Yin”—a coldness not felt by ordinary beings. Only someone like him, born of the Netherworld, could perceive it. This was perhaps the most Yin-charged place in existence.

Yet, as the saying goes, when Yin reaches its peak, it transforms into Yang. Now, traces of Yang qi had emerged, a miraculous transformation.

He had no fear, for such a place was practically sacred soil for him. He longed to rush in and let his bones be nourished by it.

In the blink of an eye, they had surged ten miles deeper—and everything before them changed instantly!

The rows of mounds vanished, giving way to a wild, ancient landscape. Towering trees filled the land, while Lofty and majestic mountains pierced the heavens. Fierce beasts and divine birds roamed wild, their presence awe-inspiring.

“ROOOAR!”

A black Zhen Hao, gigantic and mountainous, let out a thunderous roar that shattered a foreign meteorite in space, sending brilliant fragments cascading down.

“WHOOSH!”

A great wind stirred as a golden-winged roc unfurled its wings into the clouds, towering like a golden cloud that suffocated the sky. The pressure of its aura was terrifying.

The Three Deities were stunned at the sight before them, paralyzed with fear.

Though they were powerful, it was all relative. What lay before them were top-tier Heaven-Tier Fierce Beast and Divine Bird. Any one of them could annihilate all three with ease.

“Is this… a Sky Deity?!”

They were utterly shaken. Not long ago, they had been chasing down a minor warrior, and now they were thrown into this scene of divine terror.

Strong as they were, even they would kneel in reverence before true Heaven Gods!

“ROOOAR!”

A titanic Taotie, as massive as an ancient Magicmountain, devoured all as it passed by, making the earth tremble and mountains quiver with its thunderous footsteps.

The Three Deities trembled to their very souls—it was too sudden!

“Something’s wrong—this isn’t real!”

Eventually, as deities who had kindled their divine fires, their eyes, though deceived at first, quickly pierced through the illusion.

“These are immortal spirits—not real Sky Gods or Heavenly Sovereigns,” the Pangolin exhaled in relief.

The golden skeleton from the Netherworld, whose white wings fluttered, spoke solemnly, “They are partially materialized. You must be cautious. Avoid contact at all costs, or it may mean death.”

The other two deities changed expression, sensing it now too, their faces darkening.

They advanced carefully, deeply cautious, and soon found a stone stele with three words inscribed: Xiling Realm!

“Now I understand—the meaning is clear!” Yang Li nodded, silvery hair flowing, his deep eyes gleaming.

They were no ordinary men; they instantly comprehended everything.

At this moment, their blood surged with excitement—this place, which had begun to evolve into its own realm, was likely to give birth to supreme treasures!

Especially the golden-boned skeleton from the Netherworld, though lacking blood, burned with intense light in his skull—the unmistakable sign of his excitement, for he knew even more than the others.

“This may become the Underworld, the supreme holy land of the Nether race, an eternal kingdom!” he whispered inwardly, trembling in anticipation.

As a deity of the Nether race, cultivation here would be far more effective. This place was a paradise, and the treasures here would surely be his first.

They had already locked onto Shi Hao and naturally hadn’t lost him. When they discovered he too was rushing toward the heart of this place, they couldn’t help but be alarmed.

Each of the three left behind a lingering afterimage before dashing forward, using their divine senses to avoid all sorts of semi-materialized beings— Taotie, Ying Long, Phoenix Finch, and other Heaven-Tier ancient Fierce Beast and Divine Bird.

“Ah! There he is!”

As the Three Deities raced into the depths, they not only spotted Shi Hao but also a sacrificial altar.

This altar was eerie, entirely black, constructed from massive stones. Scattered all around were countless gigantic bones— Exuding an aura of boundless malevolence even formidable deities who had ignited their divine fires felt dread.

There were no ordinary bones here—all were of Heaven God caliber!

Yet, their bone glyphs had long since faded, no longer radiant.

“Boy, what are you planning to do?!”

The Three Deities could no longer remain calm, realizing that Shi Hao was eyeing the supreme treasure upon the altar, attempting to seize it before they could.

In such a sacred place, such divine offerings usually required the utmost care to retrieve—if disturbed, a catastrophe could unfold, and naturally, they were deeply concerned.

To them, Shi Hao appeared uncertain, hesitating and turning toward one side of the altar, contemplating action with visible anxiety.

“All treasures!”

The Three Deities, possessing vast knowledge, immediately recognized the three items on the altar as exuding unimaginable power.

A golden hand bone, a crystal skull, and a blood-stained eye, each radiating enigmatic energy and strange force.

“Step aside, boy, and await your fate!” The Three Deities, each harboring ambitions, swiftly arrived at the altar. To them, the treasures on this ancient altar were far more important than Shi Hao himself.

“You pitiful false gods!” Shi Hao sneered coldly. He had been waiting for them. Now there was nothing left to fear.

“You dare defy the gods! You ask for death!” Yang Li and the Pangolin both glared at him with eyes as sharp as blades, certain of their control over the situation.

However, the moment they spoke, their bodies stiffened, their scales and hairs bristling, their bodies turning cold. Deep within their souls, a great fear surged.

The deity of the Nether race nearly cried out in alarm. His golden bones trembled, creaking loudly.

They had ignited divine flames and sensed the danger instantly, far more Perceptive than Shi Hao or the Dark Tortoise. They realized they had stepped into a death trap!

“Do you even know what this place is?!” the Pangolin exclaimed in terror, turning to Shi Hao, his massive body trembling uncontrollably.

“In this place, you are nothing but three insects. Come on—show off your divine might, flaunt your power, be arrogant and violent!” Shi Hao scorned.

“Silence!” the Nether deity hissed lowly. He dared not move, dared not wield divine power, not even for a moment—if not for this restraint, he would have incinerated Shi Hao instantly to silence him.

One must not make noise here. He felt an overwhelming authority, a terrifying fluctuation. The items upon the altar likely contained immortal spiritual consciousness!

“Silence, insect! If you value your life, do not speak!” Yang Li’s face twisted with fury. Panic gripped his heart—only at this level could one fully comprehend the horror of the situation.

At this moment, the Three Deities felt far more intense terror than Shi Hao had before—because they had ignited divine fires and understood the scale of the peril they were in.

“Fear? Are you afraid?” Shi Hao remained calm and surveyed the three with disdain. “Here, you are but insects too. What posture? If you wish to live, kneel before this altar and prostrate yourself!”

Yang Li’s silver hair thrashed wildly. His face turned pale green. If not for the fear of provoking catastrophe, he would have incinerated Shi Hao into ashes on the spot.

As for the Pangolin and the Nether deity, they nearly collapsed to their knees in submission—but hearing Shi Hao’s words, they could not act upon that urge.

“Don’t force me to kill you and offer you as a sacrifice to this ancient altar!” Yang Li threatened in a whisper.

“Then let’s all die together!” Shi Hao replied with calm ease.

“Don’t!!” The Three Deities shrieked in terror, their souls quaking.

Shi Hao had already lifted his foot and now stomped heavily upon the altar, shaking its foundations as if it might collapse entirely.

Yang Li’s hairs stood upright, his scalp tingling. Feet barely touching the ground, he strained his body with fear and propelled himself backward, his face pale beyond color.

The Pangolin did the same. Its massive frame had already shrunk to just ten feet long, and it darted away desperately.

The golden skeleton trembled violently, nearly disintegrating as it too struggled to escape.

But it was futile. The eyeball had already turned, locking onto the group just as they had locked onto Shi Hao before.

“Finished!”

At this moment, the three mighty beings trembled with terror. They knew escape was useless. They would be annihilated.

Moreover, they couldn’t possibly flee this place!

At their level, they deeply understood—what they faced was an incomprehensibly terrifying power, one that might reduce their existence to living hell.

The Three Deities’ hearts quaked, their courage shattered, and despair surged within them!

Indeed, it had come—the overwhelming force, terrifying and vast, surged forth to imprison them, approaching swiftly!
