Chapter 548: Ascension to Divinity

Far away in the distant sky, everyone trembled. Some indeed began to retreat, unable to see through Xiao Shi’s mystery, suspecting him of some malevolent force, how could he immobilize three powerful beings who had kindled their divine flames?

But upon hearing his final words, a massive verdant vine trembled in fury, divine flames flickering across its body; to be mocked at such a level was intolerably infuriating.

They naturally could assess that Xiao Shi’s true strength was not enough to confront such high-level adversaries. What exactly gave him such confidence? Did he possess a terrifying divine treasure?

“Could it be a secret treasure, perhaps the ancient Glyph that can immobilize divine beings?” someone whispered.

In the cultivation world, talismans forged by ancient supreme beings had been passed down through ages—like the Immobilizing Glyph or the Sky Sealing Glyph—whose power was boundless and immense.

However, such items were incredibly rare, seldom appearing. Some suspected Xiao Shi might have had a few, using them to seal those three experts.

Thus, though filled with trepidation, some were unwilling to retreat so shamefully and wanted to stay and watch.

But there were also the cautious ones who turned abruptly, flying to the farthest horizon to avoid entanglement and simply observe from afar.

“Chi!”

The grapevine swayed, and a glowing sphere resembling a purple-gold pill flew forth, radiating dazzling Glyphs. It exploded in midair, aiming to annihilate Shi Hao.

Instantly startled, Shi Hao dodged with lightning speed, unleashing the ultimate Kunpeng technique to shift ten thousand feet away. Looking back, he saw purple light surging to the heavens, dispersing clouds.

Such immense power made him inwardly exclaim—he’d only recently kindled his divine flame, just beginning his journey on the divine path, not yet a true deity, yet the power was still terrifying to him.

“Sure enough, you’re a real grapevine. Your attacks are just like grapes!” Shi Hao muttered.

In the distance, someone grinned silently, too afraid to laugh aloud.

The furious vine surged with jade light, radiating Glyphs from its body. Rooted in Void Realm, it absorbed divine power and unleashed divine might to annihilate Shi Hao.

“Stay still!” Shi Hao shouted, pointing his finger.

Everyone startled, hastily retreating, and even the grapevine shivered with cold fear, swiftly fleeing.

Nothing happened, however; no one was immobilized.

All eyes fixed upon him, burning with suspicion. Shi Hao scratched his head, feigning calmness, saying, “Even the best make mistakes. Let’s try again!”

He pointed forward at the grapevine, softly commanding again, “Stay!” Yet, again, nothing changed, but the vine still darted away ten thousand feet in fright.

“One more time!” Shi Hao commanded, this time the grapevine didn’t evade at all, standing coldly in place.

Likewise, other supreme beings from various sects, who had kindled their divine flames, hovered in the skies above, watching coldly.

Shi Hao broke into a sweat, forcing a smile, “I just learned this move, still a bit shaky, let me recall how to use it.”

His joke was too weak, the crowd remained impassive, the killing intent growing as they advanced.

A black sparrow sneered. It opened its beak, spitting out a streak of black lightning, thunderclaps shaking the skies like rumbling dark clouds.

This was one of the spirits following the Black-Gold Sparrow to this realm. Not flesh and blood, but forged from Black-Gold, it had only kindled its divine flame, being far weaker than the Black-Gold Sparrow that had been slain by Willow God.

Yet to Shi Hao, it was a disaster. He raised his arms and transformed into golden Kunpeng wings, soaring into the sky to evade the strike, with cold sweat on his forehead.

“Whoosh!”

A jade vine extended rapidly, growing from afar to near, long enough to coil around a mountain, attempting to entangle Shi Hao.

The grapevine unleashed its might, glowing with Glyphs and emitting surges of divine flame, an unstoppable force for cultivators of his level.

It had descended with the Sun Godvine. After a segment of that golden ancient vine was severed by Willow God, it had fled back to the Immortal Realm, leaving this one behind.

Green vitality surged; leaves rustled across Void Realm as Shi Hao soared upwards. However, from below, an enormous green plant like a mountain surged forth, overshadowing the skies, threatening to swallow Shi Hao whole!

Was this the gap? Once kindling divine flame, standing atop the Divine Ascension Platform, they could look down upon Venerable One-level cultivators with unmatched power.

“Immobilizing Glyph!”

Shi Hao roared, producing a yellowed talisman from his palm. He slapped it downward, immediately igniting fierce flames.

All were startled; even the grapevine trembled as a section of its vine caught fire, sustaining damage.

Yet, it ended there—the talisman burned to ashes without truly damaging the main vine itself, merely setting some leaves ablaze.

Lunar Grace’s main body observed sharply, her jade-like beautiful face revealing a faint smile, her eyes deep and perceptive. She naturally recognized it; it had been hers, lost when Shi Hao had gravely injured her not long ago, all her treasures scattered then.

Auspicious lights flared, a group of experts each manifesting spiritual avatars, rushing forth. Among them were four whose divine flames now blazed, surrounding Shi Hao, their faces cold and filled with killing intent.

“Fellow cultivators, why so hasty? We could talk things over calmly. We’re all cultivators, why resort to violence?” Shi Hao tried to reason.

“You, a mere Array Formation cultivator, dare act so brazenly?” one sneered coldly.

Especially the grapevine, whose emerald divine flame flickered, spoke coldly, “Admittedly talented, but unripened youth is nothing! I shall take your bones!”

“This bone could be a shared treasure. Who among you wishes to extract it? Mind he doesn’t self-destruct,” said the black-gold sparrow.

All were spiritual avatars, not their true forms.

Indeed, though they had cornered Shi Hao, seemingly ready to annihilate him anytime, they were still cautious, prepared for retreat.

After all, he had immobilized three divine-flame cultivators from the start.

“I’ll break his bones!” the grapevine extended a vine to pierce Shi Hao’s chest.

“I shall assist,” the black-gold sparrow said, radiating brilliance. Though a spiritual avatar, its might remained formidable. It didn’t trust the grapevine entirely and insisted on supervising.

Far away, Lan Yu, Bi Gu, Hong Feng, and the like were astonished—the situation changed too swiftly; how had it escalated to this extent?

“Do you take me for a soft persimmon, to be pressed at will, believing me easily Deceptionable?” Shi Hao spoke calmly, while secretly transmitting his voice, “Elder Immortal, are you asleep?”

“Just spacing out,” came a voice from the shadows, emotionless, like a deep well.

Shi Hao was momentarily exasperated, then shouted in all directions, “Stay! Stay! Stay! Stay!”

The spiritual avatars of the four great experts were immobilized, but their true forms, still ablaze with divine fire, all activated their Divine Ascension Platforms, fleeing into the sky in an instant.

Such escape methods could even outmaneuver a God King.

Unexpectedly, however, while the divine-flame cultivators were astonished, they were seized, their souls quivering with fear.

Not only them, but everyone trembled in terror. In that moment, Heaven and Earth trembled, golden light boiled, as if an invincible devil lord had revived, shaking the entire world.

A gigantic golden hand, larger than clouds and filling the skies, exuding immortal Glyphs with golden mist, tore through the heavens to seize those people.

The sight shocked the world; everyone’s souls quaked, compelled to bow down and worship.

It wasn’t just the four—those two who had hidden in the far distance earlier and others of lesser strength were also captured, their escapes fruitless.

Indeed, one had already activated a Spatial Rift Glyph and flown tens of thousands of miles away, yet still was dragged back, struggling in the golden hand.

The golden hand descended, and all the divine-flame cultivators plummeted, eventually being immobilized side by side with the skeleton, Demon Sunflower, and others in Void Realm.

Everyone shuddered, looking up in horror, as the Immortal Being, surrounded by chaotic mist and golden light, stood tall with golden wings, gazing down at the world.

Everyone’s scalp tingled—how could anyone oppose such might?

“The Immortal…” the immortal from Deathless Mountain trembled, bitterly.

This expert possessed an undying body, nearly invincible, standing at the peak of power; with his intervention, who could resist?

“From today onward, there shall be no gods in the lower world.” The Immortal spoke calmly, unleashing a terrifying ripple, golden mist spreading, submerging heaven and earth.

He inhaled deeply, and the skeleton from the Netherworld, the divine-flame cultivator from Deathless Mountain, Demon Sunflower, Black-Gold Sparrow, and the rest vanished into his mouth.

Only points of divine fire bloomed at his lips, along with screams filled with terror echoing through the sky…

Shi Hao screamed in agony, howling, “Grape! My grape!”

While all trembled in fear, they also were stunned, especially Shui Yue, Ying Ying, and others who thought him heartless—wanting to laugh but unable to.

Of course, others like Xuan Ming and Lan Yu held a different view; this fellow was too dangerous, close enough to the Immortal Being itself!

Shi Hao didn’t rest. He stepped forward, his arms glowing like golden wings, releasing divine radiance over dozens of feet in slashing strikes, the sounds of slaughter resounding.

The Immortal had only devoured those who had just kindled divine flame, others still existed, now all slain by Shi Hao.

Then, with a wave of his hand, the Demon Sunflower, transformed from the Netherworld figure and the black-clothed woman, was beheaded.

“Your life is spared,” Shi Hao finally released the young man from Deathless Mountain, considering his origins from the Upper Realm and fearing some blood connection to his mother.

Mainly, this individual’s words recently hadn’t greatly displeased him.

Silence reigned until that towering golden form gradually dissipated; only then did the pressure ease slightly, making everyone feel relieved.

Shi Hao seemed to recall something, pointing at Lunar Grace’s main form, saying, “Stay!”

Again, no effect—the Lunar Grace’s main form remained as beautiful as ever, gently brushing strands of hair from her forehead with her fair hand.

Shi Hao secretly called for the Immortal Being but received only one reply: “I go to Divine Ascend!”

That Supreme Supreme Emperor, too lofty in cultivation, might only have eyes for gods, regarding all others as dust.

On the peak, the breeze rustled the pines, and none spoke.

After a long while, Shi Hao chuckled, “Just a joke.”

“Not amusing at all!” Lunar Grace’s main form replied coldly.

Everyone: “…”

Especially Bi Gu and others frowned, originally admiring Lunar Grace, even apologizing to Shi Hao for misunderstanding her, but now they were speechless.

Nonetheless, all were stunned—others summoned divine flame beings, yet Xiao Shi had summoned an invincible Supreme Supreme Emperor. What a contrast! The gap was enormous!

Everyone looked at him, eyes full of disbelief—this fellow had an incredibly strong background, even able to summon an Immortal Being.

Not only Lan Yu, Hong Feng, Xuan Ming, but even Demoness and Lunar Grace herself, were deeply shaken—this fellow was becoming more terrifying!

On that day, a figure towering among worlds, surrounded by chaotic mist and golden aura, began to truly seal divinity across various regions, shocking the heavens and earth.

The Immortal Being appeared at the Sky Mending Sect. With a single wave of his hand, chaotic mist surged, capturing several figures. Then he reached into the distance, transforming a stone mountain into a divine being to hold in his grasp.

Then he appeared outside the Western Sect, inhaling deeply, capturing several golden forms into the air before consuming them.

This was a stunning upheaval, shaking the world, Heaven and Earth trembling in response!
