Chapter 2010: The Ultimate Ancient Land

That was an astonishing force, mighty and unparalleled, transforming into symbols that surged with the wind and waves, crashing against the embankment from behind!

“Woo…”

A terrifying, otherworldly howl arose, like the weeping of demons—a hurricane formed from the runes of the Great Dao, rapidly expanding and sweeping across the myriad realms of the heavens.

The grandeur of its power was vast and unstoppable.

Even within the Immortal Domain, all trembled in fear.

“Crack!”

The heavens and earth shattered, breaking apart.

The sight was horrifying. The Immortal Domain, already fragmented, now faced such a catastrophe that it sent chills down everyone’s spine, leaving them utterly shocked.

“Amanda, go back!”

Shi Hao stood up, sending Amanda away, along with the Divine Striking Stone, the Imperial Butterfly, and dozens of veteran soldiers, escorting them out of the ruins of the Heavenly Court and toward the sealed lands.

This force was too violent, ravaging the greater world.

“Boom!”

The Immortal Domain truly disintegrated, shattering into hundreds and thousands of fragments that drifted apart, scattered into the distance—utterly dismembered.

Then, the hurricane of runes surged, gradually spreading until, with a deafening crash, it pierced through the boundary walls and swept toward the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths.

Moreover, the runes also spread toward the Burial Grounds and other regions.

“Thud!”

Shi Hao took action. No matter what, he could not allow these terrifying Great Dao runes to invade the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths—his true homeland.

He clenched his fist and struck against the storm.

Standing defiantly in the void, his body radiated boundless light, growing ever larger like a titan, blocking the path of the terrifying tempest.

With a resonant hum, Shi Hao summoned several Quasi-Immortal Emperor weapons—the Spear of the Feather Emperor, the Purple Lightning Hammer of the Undying Elder, and the armaments of four other mighty beings, all now his trophies.

Now, the void trembled as Shi Hao deployed these weapons to suppress the storm.

Towering between heaven and earth, he strode forward, standing atop the embankment, using the artifacts to force the storm back toward the Boundary Sea.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, endless spiritual essence and boundless vitality surged from the shattered remnants of the Immortal Domain, flowing toward the other side of the Boundary Sea.

The same phenomenon occurred in the Burial Grounds and the Foreign Lands—they, too, were disintegrating.

This was truly a vast and terrifying force!

Clearly, the losses across all realms were severe. The splitting of the greater world into hundreds of fragments would bring calamity.

The sight was shocking. Just this one surge had already drained much of the world’s vitality. If this continued, all realms would descend into an era of withered magic.

Bang!

The Immortal Domain trembled once more.

Now divided into thousands of fragments, drifting ever farther apart, it was a far cry from its former glory.

Eventually, many fragments vanished into the void, scattered across the cosmos.

The fragment bordering the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, separated by the boundary walls, had shrunk drastically.

This was a cataclysmic transformation!

Just as the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths had once split into nine layers of heavens and ten continents, the Immortal Domain had now shattered even more thoroughly—into hundreds of pieces.

Yet, the fragments of the Immortal Domain were far larger.

Originally formed from the fusion of countless universes, where a single Immortal King once ruled an entire cosmos, even now, any single fragment remained vast beyond measure.

Prosperity fades into decline!

Shi Hao could only sigh. The Immortal Domain had shattered, reduced to this state.

In the distance, three beings watched—the White-Clad Empress, the figure with the great cauldron hovering above his head, and Wu Shi. They lamented, for this was how the future Immortal Domain had collapsed.

In their time, they had only glimpsed a corner of the Immortal Domain.

Deep within the Boundary Sea, the Great Dao hurricane came swiftly and receded just as fast, carrying away vast amounts of spiritual essence, leaving the myriad realms dimmer than before.

Shi Hao focused, sensing that the force earlier had been at least at the Quasi-Immortal Emperor level. The other side of the Boundary Sea indeed held many mysteries.

Panic spread across the Immortal Domain and the Burial Grounds. Even the mightiest were shaken.

In this era, Immortal Kings were nearly extinct, with only a handful remaining—the Butcher, the Burial Master, and a few others.

Even True Immortals, powerful as they were, could not sense where the drifting fragments of the Immortal Domain had gone.

In truth, once shattered, these fragments drifted ever farther apart. Some True Immortals would never see each other again.

Each fragment of the Immortal Domain emitted immortal light, sealing itself off with protective barriers.

Shi Hao watched but did not intervene. Perhaps this was for the best. If another catastrophe struck, some ancient lands might yet survive.

“Does reincarnation exist in this world?”

Shi Hao murmured, for he wished to see his fallen comrades live again.

One by one, his old friends had perished, leaving him in profound loneliness. He longed for their laughter to return.

If reincarnation existed, he would reshape the heavens and earth, restoring those lost souls to the world of the living.

“It is time for me to move.”

Shi Hao’s gaze hardened.

He would cross the Boundary Sea to seek the truth. If reincarnation existed, he would mend the cosmos and reset the cycle.

In truth, he had no choice now. Faintly, he sensed something on the other side of the Boundary Sea—something watching him.

This time, Shi Hao traversed the sea swiftly, for he had once seized and suppressed several Guiding Ancient Temples. These temples held strange pathways connected to the Dark Land, allowing rapid passage to the other side.

“The Heavenly Emperor Shi Hao has set forth again!”

Someone in the Immortal Domain sighed, both hopeful and anxious.

When Shi Hao acted, he was unstoppable—but could he truly resolve the mysteries beyond the Boundary Sea?

The White-Clad Empress, Wu Shi, and the being with the great cauldron wished to follow, but they found the world rejecting them. The river of time manifested around them.

“We can go no further. The ultimate land beyond the Boundary Sea holds great karma. If we force our way, we will suffer backlash.”

They sighed and withdrew, unable to reach the final ancient land.

Upon reaching the other side, Shi Hao entered the Dark Land, passing through it toward the ultimate destination.

Along the way, he longed to summon back the Great Elder, Huo Ling’er, and the charred stump of the Willow God—but he hesitated.

He feared that even if he brought them back, sending them to the Immortal Domain might not guarantee their safety if the final battle erupted.

“Wait for me. I will first explore the ultimate ancient land!” Shi Hao whispered.

Even if he never returned, the Great Elder and Huo Ling’er could live safely in their own time.

The darkness faded, but what lay beyond was not brilliance—it was more like a blood-stained dusk.

Shi Hao arrived at the ultimate ancient land, covering vast distances with each step.

Soon, he halted, for he saw structures ahead—sacred and radiant Guiding Ancient Temples, densely scattered across the land.

Hum!

Here, something on Shi Hao’s person began to glow and tremble.

“The Rotten Wooden Box!”

He was stunned. Did the box have a connection to this place?

Alert, Shi Hao placed the box on the ground. It quivered violently before flying toward the grandest of the ancient temples.

Boom!

The box crashed into the temple and then fell still.

Shi Hao’s expression shifted. This was already deep within the ultimate ancient land—what secrets lay here?

He circled the temple but found nothing unusual. After a moment, he pressed onward.

He left the box behind, storing it there.

Not far ahead lay the deepest part of the ultimate ancient land.

In the distance, a jade-white stele gleamed, pristine and sacred.

This marked the end of the Guiding Ancient Temples. Beyond it, an eerie power pulsed.

“This is…”

Shi Hao’s eyes widened in shock. He recognized the material—it was identical to the bone scripture of the Primordial True Explanation. The so-called jade stele was actually made of bone.

Upon it were deeply engraved runes.

“The final chapter of the Primordial True Explanation!”

Silently inscribed on the bone stele.

Shi Hao studied it carefully, confirming it was indeed the last part, connected to the previous two—the ultimate chapter.

After comprehending it, he closed his eyes, lost in thought. This final chapter was suited for Quasi-Immortal Emperors, but it went no further.

It did not touch upon the true realm of the Immortal Emperor.

“I have already reached the Quasi-Immortal Emperor level. Learning this now holds little meaning—only reference value.”

Yet soon, his eyes gleamed with realization.

“Those who learn from me shall live; those who imitate me shall die!”

Shi Hao sighed. One could draw inspiration from it, sensing the wonders of the Quasi-Immortal Emperor realm—but blind imitation would forever bind one to its limits.

“Is this the difference between forging one’s own path and following another’s?” he murmured, then startled.

“The legacy I leave for future generations must be selective—a seed of guidance, but they must transcend it, creating their own methods to continue the journey.”

To leave a Quasi-Immortal Emperor’s scripture here was no small feat.

At the same time, from the deepest part of the ultimate ancient land, black mist rose like storm clouds veiling the heavens, accompanied by an overwhelming, dreadful aura.

Shi Hao stared intently. There, amid the ruins, stood a broken stele bearing ancient characters formed from Great Dao runes—legible to any being of sufficient power, regardless of era.

“The key to becoming an Emperor…”

Shi Hao recited, his pupils contracting as he fixed his gaze upon it.

“Go. Leave this place at once!”

Suddenly, a divine voice echoed behind him, urging him to depart.

Shi Hao whirled around, looking toward the grandest ancient temple—where the Rotten Wooden Box now rested, enshrined within.
