Chapter 1777: Encounter

“The Barbecue Cult Leader? How savage must one be?” If anyone else had said this, Lunar Grace would have rolled her eyes in disdain. But coming from Shi Hao, her heart pounded violently. She didn’t doubt it for a second—that lawless troublemaker was absolutely capable of such a thing.

“Heh heh, hahaha…” Cao Yusheng rubbed his hands together, his expression lecherous, his eagerness palpable, his excitement bordering on shamelessness. He couldn’t wait to witness Shi Hao in action, to be part of this grand spectacle.

True to form, Lunar Grace rolled her eyes hard at the two of them, utterly speechless.

“Let’s go! Lead the way—we’re having a picnic!” Shi Hao waved his hand, ordering Fatty Cao to guide them. They were about to embark on a massacre, a grand barbecue feast.

“Uh… this is the Void God Realm. Can we even eat here?” Fatty Cao hesitated, skeptical. This wasn’t the real world, and though the experience felt real, he wasn’t so carried away by excitement that he lost his head.

“Relax. It tastes the same—edible, delicious, absolutely scrumptious.” Shi Hao patted him on the shoulder.

Hearing this, Fatty Cao immediately understood. This guy had definitely done this before—no first-timer, but a seasoned offender. His chubby face creased into a grin, his eyes narrowing into slits, gleaming with excitement. At his core, he was a troublemaker, thriving on chaos. Now that Shi Hao was back, he couldn’t wait to drag this peerless fighter into stirring up trouble.

Lunar Grace sighed inwardly, convinced these two were a match made in villainy—utterly untrustworthy.

“Let’s go, go, go!” Cao Yusheng led the way, charging into the swamp. Though they hadn’t found an exit, within a certain range, he wasn’t completely lost. After all, those from the Upper Realm were still clustered in one area, not yet fully scattered.

“Hey, brother! Over here!” Along the way, they spotted the Heavenly Horned Ant in the distance, radiating resentment.

Shi Hao laughed heartily. After dozens of days apart, reuniting here brought him joy. But his smile vanished instantly when the Heavenly Horned Ant’s next words nearly made his nose twist in anger.

“Who’s this ugly freak? Why are you walking with him? I’m ashamed to be associated with you.” The golden Heavenly Horned Ant was in a foul mood, having just clashed with people from the Immortal Domain. The near-death conflict left him seething, and upon seeing Shi Hao’s broad, fanged face, he lashed out with sarcasm.

*Bam!*

Without a word, Shi Hao struck, their palms colliding with a thunderous impact.

“Such strength?!” The Heavenly Horned Ant was stunned. Now in human form—a golden-haired youth—he shook his arm, grimacing. The Heavenly Horned Ant lineage was renowned for supreme physical power, unmatched among all races.

“You’re… Shi Hao!” Realization dawned. Such strength, hailing from the Lower Realm, accompanied by Cao Yusheng and Lunar Grace—it could only be him. Few in existence dared to match his brute force, making the identification obvious.

Once he recognized Shi Hao, the Heavenly Horned Ant grew excited. Learning of their plans, his temper flared even fiercer than Shi Hao’s. He vehemently suggested roasting and devouring the Immortal Domain intruders as well.

“Oh, right! Earlier, I spotted a dragon—a pure-blooded Crimson Dragon. Too bad it vanished before I could catch it.” The Heavenly Horned Ant proposed adding it to the menu. Their lineage had once rivaled the True Dragons for supremacy, leaving them acutely sensitive to each other’s presence.

“Don’t eat that one. It’s my disciple,” Shi Hao said.

The group exchanged stunned glances. In such a short time, he’d taken a True Dragon as a disciple? The Lower Realm was truly bizarre.

Blood mist drifted, steaming from the swamp. The area was eerily crimson, its depths sparsely dotted with ancient trees—towering like mountains. The horrifying sight of long-dead corpses hanging from the branches sent chills down their spines.

“What is this place?” Upper Realm denizens huddled together, strategizing their escape.

“A bloody ancient land in the spiritual realm… puzzling that such a place exists permanently,” mused the Vice Sect Master of the Heavenly Nation, sensitive to the aura of blood as a master assassin.

“This is a battlefield of supreme beings. Legendary experts once waged spiritual wars here, many perishing,” said a being from the Immortal Palace, its second-in-command. Their sect boasted an ancient, still-living Supreme Being, with this individual ranking next in power.

“Immortal Dao consciousness lingers here—fallen True Immortals, remnants of indestructible will,” another added.

Shi Hao’s group spotted them from afar. Along the way, they reunited with Princess Yao Yue, Chang Gongyan, and even Crimson Dragon Ge Gu.

“Are there others from the Lower Realm?” Shi Hao inquired. After confirming, he muttered, “Old Birds, Old Man, are you listening? I’ll describe a few more faces—look out for them.” Fearing the swamp’s dangers might trap his allies, he sought the guardians’ protection.

“Wait here. I’ll go alone.” Shi Hao halted the group, not wanting his identity exposed prematurely. He preferred to remain hidden, preserving his future peace.

As he advanced, he overheard their conversation.

“This Lower Realm is truly bizarre. How do we escape?”

“Disappointing. We came to confirm if the Great Omen was Shi Hao, only to land ourselves in trouble.”

“Ha! No need to wonder. Shi Hao is surely crippled. Who could defy an Immortal’s power? This is the fate of defying our Immortal Palace,” sneered a servant beside the Immortal Palace’s second-in-command. Recent doubts about Shi Hao’s condition had circulated, but this news reassured them.

“Old fool, what are you laughing at?” Shi Hao glared.

“How dare you address me like that? A defeated has-been, daring to disrespect us? We’re the ones who crippled him!” the servant retorted.

“Esteemed friend, join us. We have questions,” invited a member of the Wang Family from the Nine Heavens. Notably, Wang Shi was absent.

*Boom!*

Without hesitation, Shi Hao struck. The Immortal Palace servant exploded, only his head rolling in the bloody muck, howling in agony.

Everyone froze, stunned by his sudden violence.

“Insult me?” Shi Hao dusted off his hands, striding forward calmly.

“Who are you?!” demanded the Heavenly Nation’s Vice Sect Master.

“The Great Omen you speak of. Though Shi Hao’s rival, I’ve no love for you either. That Yi Hai you mentioned? I crushed him.” His words sent chills down their spines.

*Whoosh!*

The Vice Sect Master vanished—a master assassin blending into the mist. But Shi Hao was faster, his fist distorting space as it connected.

*Bam!* Half the Vice Sect Master’s body exploded, blood spraying as he crashed into the swamp.

Gasps echoed. In this realm, where laws and Dao were suppressed, this fanged monstrosity’s strength defied reason.
