Chapter 1193: Golden Blood

Under the night sky, the creature advanced step by step, its figure tall and slender, yet its true visage remained unseen, entirely shrouded in armor as dark as black jade.

The cold metallic battle attire shimmered with a crystalline luster, its obsidian glow flickering ominously. This being exuded an eerie and otherworldly aura.

The mystery deepened with its concealed face, and its origin from a foreign realm only heightened the strangeness. It was impossible not to draw attention. As it approached the Celestial Academy, all eyes turned toward it.

As it moved, the dark immortal-metal armor on its body began to glow, with grand Dao symbols igniting one after another, probing the various laws of this world.

“Are you provoking us? Gathering intelligence here to take back and better wage war against us?” one of the Celestial Academy’s elders demanded.

“It is merely a messenger, delivering a letter. You overthink,” came the reply.

Above the vast sacrificial altar in the void, the colossal Three-Headed King spoke. Its form was truly immense, eclipsing the stars and moon, its sheer size overwhelming.

Even its voice rumbled like thunder, shaking the hearts of all who heard it.

“Bring forth the letter!” an elder commanded.

Upon learning that the Three-Headed King was merely a projection and not its true form, the elders exhaled in relief. Otherwise, who knew how many lives would be lost.

The dark immortal-metal armor shimmered with iridescent light as the figure coldly stepped forward. With a metallic *clang*, a jade slip flew from its armor and landed in an elder’s hand.

Several elders of the Celestial Academy gathered to read the letter, their brows furrowing instantly, anger flashing across their faces.

“Urging us to surrender? Why not just tell us to commit suicide outright?” the Fourth Elder sneered.

“The letter states that you shall be granted immortality!” From the distant sky, golden light swirled as the massive spider-like form twisted, appearing utterly grotesque and terrifying.

The golden Three-Headed King exuded an oppressive aura. Even as a projection, it was not something ordinary beings could oppose or face.

“Ridiculous! Such pretty words—granting us immortality? How many beings in this world can truly defy death? How many of your ancestors who crossed realms still remain? Can they withstand the passage of time?” the Fifth Elder of the academy retorted sharply.

“They all still live. The heroic ancestors who came to conquer this world have not aged. How could time harm them? They are immortal!” the golden Three-Headed King corrected sternly.

Hearing these words, those present gasped, a sense of helplessness rising in their hearts. Perhaps resistance was futile—the outcome already predetermined.

“Do not lose heart. If they were truly powerful enough, they would have come long ago instead of resorting to persuasion,” the long-silent Second Elder spoke up, rallying the academy’s disciples.

“True enough. How many of them could have survived? This is merely intimidation,” Cao Yusheng shouted, and the crowd echoed his sentiment.

“We wish to establish a divine kingdom where all may transcend and achieve immortality, aiding every being in this world!” the Three-Headed King declared.

“Words sweeter than song!” the Second Elder mocked.

“All we have to say is written in the letter, including our plan for universal immortality. Study it carefully,” the Three-Headed King replied.

“Universal immortality? Are you dreaming?” an elder couldn’t help but laugh. This was beyond absurd.

“Perhaps some in this world misunderstand us, spreading rumors of our wickedness and atrocities. But these are untrue,” the golden Three-Headed King said.

The crowd was stunned. What kind of letter had it delivered to the elders? Was it claiming that beings from the foreign realm were benevolent? This was ludicrous.

In everyone’s memory, the foreign realm’s beings were recorded in bone texts as utterly irredeemable. Yet now, the Three-Headed King was advocating such nonsense.

“Enough nonsense! You merely seek to probe the state of this world. Why bother with these absurdities?”

The Third Elder glared sternly at the envoy standing before him, but no matter how he scrutinized, he couldn’t discern anything—age, gender—nothing was clear.

*Boom!*

The Fifth Elder of the Celestial Academy struck out, summoning the black-armored being, intending to restrain its soul to prevent suicide.

He held nothing back. Were it not for the dark immortal-metal armor, enhanced by a peerless expert with mysterious inscriptions, the envoy would have been doomed.

*Clang!*

Yet even so, this did not mean the being escaped unscathed!

The Fifth Elder’s strike grazed the black armor, producing a crisp metallic ring. The immortal metal resonated, absorbing the divine force, sending shockwaves through the mind.

“Do you seek to kill it?” the golden Three-Headed King’s voice echoed.

“Do not think I don’t know your scheme—using this being to probe the laws and restrictions of this world. Cease your delusions!” the Fifth Elder roared.

This time, he truly unleashed his cultivation, channeling divine power to capture and slay the being clad in dark immortal-metal armor.

“You dismiss immortality, yet fail to recognize the extraordinary being before you. Or have you forgotten entirely?” the Three-Headed King said.

The crowd was puzzled. What was it implying? And in that moment, the Three-Headed King struck first.

*Whoosh!*

Silk threads cascaded like a waterfall from the starry sky, translucent and gleaming, a sight both mesmerizing and terrifying—a giant spider, mutated yet still spinning webs.

Despite its three heads, something had gone awry.

The silk restrained the envoy and blocked the Fifth Elder. Though merely a projection, the Three-Headed King could still act, sending forth a divine light.

Amidst metallic clashes, the Three-Headed King chanted incantations. Parts of the dark immortal-metal armor glowed, then parted with a soft *puff*—the envoy was wounded.

“Why would it harm its own? Madness!” someone cried.

“Wait—what are those golden droplets scattered around the envoy?”

Something strange was happening, drawing the attention of many.

“That’s blood—golden blood! Heavens, what kind of being is this?”

The blood was too sacred, too beautiful, devoid of gore, exuding an indescribable aura.

This caused an uproar. While some races had golden-tinged blood, none matched this—so divine and resplendent.

For mere blood to captivate so intensely was no small matter.

“Why does it bleed golden divine blood? What is its origin? The Three-Headed King’s words were cryptic—what is happening?”

The academy’s disciples were baffled, suspicion clouding their faces.

But the academy’s most powerful elders, including the Fifth Elder, paled and ceased their aggression.

“That blood—it’s unmistakable!”

“To think this lineage still exists after all these years! This is joyous news indeed!”

The elders trembled with excitement, their fingers twitching, their expressions alight with awe.

“Ah, so some still remember those with such blood in this world,” the Three-Headed King laughed.

“Elder, what is the meaning of this?” someone from the academy asked.

“He is a descendant of the Guardians—the only lineage whose blood is golden and sacred,” the Second Elder answered.

Gasps filled the air. A Guardian’s descendant?

“From which era?” Though they could guess, they sought confirmation.

“The Immortal Ancient Era. They fought tirelessly to protect this realm, though few in number, until the entire lineage perished in battle.”

Sworn to defend this world, they achieved unparalleled feats. Though their numbers never exceeded a handful, their mark was unmistakable—golden blood when wounded, pure and sacred.

Their lineage stretched back to the most ancient of times!

All had believed them extinct, the last few fallen in battle, leaving no descendants. Yet now, the Three-Headed King had brought forth one with golden blood.

It was said their strength stemmed from this very blood, granting them invincible power.

“A Guardian’s descendant—how did it end up in your world?” Even the Grand Elder was roused, unable to remain seated.

The Guardians could not be allowed to vanish—their contributions were too great, their legacy too vital.

“What is your meaning?” the Fourth Elder demanded, unable to fathom why the Three-Headed King would bring forth such a crucial figure.

For this world, the Guardians had sacrificed everything.

“We studied long. Even the so-called invincible bloodline can change. We brought this back for you to see.”

None present believed the Three-Headed King. Why would it simply return one with golden blood?
