Chapter 803: The Ambush

Gazing at the Little Healer Immortal who suddenly emitted an eerie aura, Xie Biyan’s face darkened. The smug look in his eyes vanished, replaced by a seriousness that defied description. From the eerie aura permeating her body, he sensed a hint of the flavor of death. “The Woe Poison Body, it seems what Elder Iron Guard spoke was indeed correct. You reached this level at such a young age, all because of this…”

Xie Biyan, having seen and heard much, was no stranger to the fearsome reputation of the Woe Poison Body. His face now somber, he spoke in a hiss.

The Little Healer Immortal slowly lifted her head, her eyes displaying a terrifying purity: one purple, the other gray, with no trace of any other colors. It gave an impression of indifference and ruthlessness. Even with Xie Biyan’s strength, he felt a slight jolt in his heart under her unsettling gaze.

Her gray-purple eyes fixed on Xie Biyan, the Little Healer Immortal remained silent. Raising her slender hand, a fierce energy wave surged through the ten-yard space around them. This space then twisted into an invisible cage, and as it deformed, the outside vision became increasingly blurry.

“Heavenly Poison Cage!” With the space morphed into a cage, the Little Healer Immortal glanced indifferently at Xie Biyan, also trapped with no way out. Her fingers moved, and a cold shout issued from her lips.

As the shout fell, a thick, gray-purple mist burst forth from the Little Healer Immortal, quickly spreading. In a few breaths, it enveloped the cage formed by the twisted space. All external views were abruptly blocked.

Inside the spatial cage, Xie Biyan grimly observed the surrounding gray-purple fog. He could feel a poison so lethal that even he would not dare to inhale it lightly. Moreover, this mist seemed to have the effect of hindering one’s speed and agility. Under its influence, he felt his body becoming significantly heavier.

“Such a terrifying poison… It can even contaminate the energy of this sealed space. In battle, I won’t dare absorb any more external energy. But without replenishment, I’ll only consume. If this drags on, the outcome will be grim. Truly, a brutal move. The Woe Poison Body is indeed troublesome…”

Cold eyes sweeping through the gray-purple mist, Xie Biyan muttered in his heart. Then, with a thought, he sealed his pores, enveloping himself in a dense aura, keeping the poisonous mist at bay.

“However, every time the Woe Poison Body fully releases, it brings the user closer to total toxicity. Since you’re willing to gamble, I’ll keep you company!”

With a chilly roar, a surge of blood-red energy erupted from Xie Biyan. His massive pincers swung furiously, his eyes scanning the surroundings, ready for the Little Healer Immortal to make her move from the shadows!

………………………

In the distant sky, a ten-yard-wide gray-purple space appeared out of nowhere. The gray-purple mist hovered at the edge of the twisted space, resembling a transparent glass wall enclosing a world of toxins within.

Blocked by the mist, none could see the ongoing battle. Not even Xiao Yan’s soul perception could penetrate the twisted space. Thus, the outcome of the fight was unknown, and all they could do was wait for the life-or-death struggle to end.

Withdrawing his gaze from the gray-purple space, Xiao Yan’s face, though still grim, was no longer as worried as before. The Little Healer Immortal’s actions suggested she had some kind of boost to her power. Creating a small enclosed space in the sky, she likely had some control. And knowing her, she wouldn’t foolishly risk her life in a meaningless fight.

“Now, we can only wait for the final outcome…”

Sighing inwardly, Xiao Yan’s eyes turned icy, gradually turning to the Scorpion Mountain. “Since the Gate Master is so eager to fight me, I suppose I can’t let you down today.”

Though his words were calm, the killing intent in his voice was unmistakable. Clearly, this repeated obstruction had aroused his anger and purpose.

Hearing Xiao Yan’s words, Scorpion Mountain’s expression changed slightly, and he sneered, “Arrogant boy, having the honor to fight me personally, you should consider yourself lucky.”

“If so, then let the Gate Master present his head!”

Xiao Yan’s face twisted into a vicious grin, and with a stomp, silver light flared, his figure dashing forward. Moments later, he appeared above Scorpion Mountain, hands gripping his heavy scale, and with no fancy moves, he brought it down on the latter’s head.

The heavy scale, whistling with tremendous force, made Scorpion Mountain’s clothes cling to his body.

“Humph!” Scorpion Mountain snorted, swinging his blue staff to collide with the scale.

A sharp sound of metal clashing rang out, sparks flying, powerful energy waves rippling out as both figures recoiled.

Xiao Yan somersaulted in the air, steadying himself with a flap of his fiery wings. Meanwhile, Scorpion Mountain staggered back several steps, his hand trembling.

In terms of physical strength, Xiao Yan far surpassed Scorpion Mountain. Combined with the heavy scale and his tempered body, engaging him in a direct confrontation was sheer folly for Scorpion Mountain.

Steady in the sky, Xiao Yan saw Scorpion Mountain, who, despite stepping back, looked increasingly ferocious. His eyes flashed with a cold light, a blazing green energy surging from him, covering the scale. In moments, the pitch-black scale turned a vibrant green, tendrils of green flame weaving through it.

Feeling the immense energy gathering in the scale, Scorpion Mountain’s expression shifted. Wielding his blue staff, he summoned his mighty energy, pouring it into the staff, which then expanded like a blue pillar. The observers, seeing this, retreated, wary of getting caught in the crossfire.

The scale grew greener, and at a certain moment, Xiao Yan’s eyes sharpened. Gripping the scale, he swung it fiercely at Scorpion Mountain.

“Flame Splitting Wave Scale!”

A vast, green fire radiance shot from the scale, causing the space to tremble. The scorching heat bent the very air around it.

“Earthshaking Staff!”

Seeing the scale beam, Scorpion Mountain gritted his teeth, swinging his blue staff. In a brilliant blue glow, he brought it crashing down on the scale.

An explosion akin to thunder shattered the sky! Intense energy waves and scorching flames surged outward. Scorpion Mountain grunted, his hand smoking, but he held on. He hastily retreated, having suffered a significant blow from the strange flames in the beam.

Seeing him retreat, Xiao Yan sneered. Glancing at a point in space, he flickered, appearing in front of Scorpion Mountain, delivering a hard slap with the scale.

Scorpion Mountain, struggling to expel the burning energy, dodged nimbly. Yet, as he prepared to mock Xiao Yan, a small, agile figure appeared behind him, and a clear, childlike voice echoed.

“Hehe, take this punch!”

Before Scorpion Mountain could react, a small, glowing fist struck his blue staff, breaking it. The fist then connected with his chest, and in his shock, he saw a cute, innocent face and gem-like eyes, filled with innocence.
