Chapter 759: The Serpent Moon Charm

With a slight hint of surprise, she gazed at the young face that bore a warm smile. For some reason, Yue Mei always found it somewhat familiar, but she couldn’t recall if she had ever seen it before. “Are you from the Jia Ma Empire?” Her snake-like eyes scanned the black-robed youth in front of her, and with a tinge of wariness, she asked.

Seeing Yue Mei’s cautious demeanor, Xiao Yan couldn’t help but smile. He nodded slightly and said, “Don’t worry, I am from the Jia Ma Empire.”

Hearing this, Yue Mei let out a sigh of relief. She was about to struggle to get up when a feeling of numbness and weakness in her body prevented her. She could only sigh in frustration. At that moment, a round pill emitting a faint fragrance appeared in front of her, followed by a voice, “If you’re not afraid it might be poison, you can try swallowing it.”

A bit hesitant, she took the pill, and after a moment of internal struggle, gritted her teeth and swallowed it. As soon as the pill entered her stomach, a warm medicinal force spread through her limbs, driving away much of the weakness in her body.

Feeling the changes in her body, Yue Mei finally felt completely at ease. She raised her head and gave the black-robed youth a grateful smile, saying, “Thank you. I am from the Snake People Tribe, Yue Mei.”

Seeing the fierce beauty snake who had once wanted to take him back as a male slave now giving such a gentle smile, Xiao Yan couldn’t help but find it amusing. He then turned his gaze to the two middle-aged men who had been unusually sinister ever since he appeared.

“Be careful, these two are strong warriors from the Golden Wild Geese Sect of the Luoyan Empire, and both are at the Dou Wang level. They are not to be underestimated,” Yue Mei warned, her snake-like tail moving as she regained some strength. Her icy gaze fixed on the two men across from her.

“Golden Wild Geese Sect?” Xiao Yan raised an eyebrow and silently nodded.

“Friend, the road is wide, and each travels their own way. I advise you not to meddle, or you may lose your life,” the middle-aged man with the grim expression stared at Xiao Yan and spoke slowly.

Having advanced to the Battle Emperor level, these two could not detect Xiao Yan’s true strength. However, they had already seen that he was no weakling after he deflected their combined attack. Thus, they were somewhat wary and did not immediately attack.

Xiao Yan smiled, standing in front of Yue Mei without moving. Though he said nothing, his actions clearly communicated his intentions to the two members of the Golden Wild Geese Sect.

“Hehe, people from the Jia Ma Empire are really kind-hearted. I am in awe, but since you insist on interfering, it’s your bad luck!” A cold sneer spread across the face of the middle-aged man, who claimed to be Jin Zheng. He shook his head and then turned to his companion, commanding, “Attack together and kill him!”

The companion nodded with a sinister grin. With their strength, even within the Luoyan Empire, they could be considered local strongmen. During the battles against the Jia Ma Empire, perhaps due to good fortune, they had seldom encountered opponents, so they held a slight contempt for the Jia Ma Empire.

As they finished speaking, brilliant golden light burst from their bodies, swirling around them and leaving deep, scar-like marks on the ground.

Yue Mei, standing behind Xiao Yan, saw their actions and her expression changed slightly. Although she suspected that the young man in front of her might be quite strong, she feared that facing two well-coordinated Dou Wangs would be dangerous.

“Let me handle one of them later. If you can defeat the other, do so quickly. I can only hold out for a short time,” Yue Mei said after a brief pause, biting her silvery teeth and speaking earnestly to Xiao Yan.

Xiao Yan hesitated, then shook his head with a smile. “Your injuries are too severe; you should rest. Leave them to me.”

Seeing Xiao Yan willing to fight two-on-one, Yue Mei was surprised. She looked closely at the smiling young face and murmured, “Don’t push yourself.”

“Pride or not, today, we will add one more head to our list of worthy foes,” Jin Zheng sneered, clenching his hand to reveal a peculiar weapon. This weapon resembled a golden hoop, covered with sharp spines tinged with a faint purple glow, indicating it was coated with deadly poison.

After Jin Zheng took out his weapon, his companion also produced a similar one.

“Be careful, this is the unique weapon of the Golden Wild Geese Sect, the Crane Feather Ring. It is very cunning and poisonous, and when used with their techniques, it is even more powerful,” Yue Mei’s face turned pale, and she hastily warned.

“Heh, didn’t know you knew so much about our Golden Wild Geese Sect? But it won’t save you,” Jin Zheng chuckled, signaling to his companion. The two abruptly split, one attacking Xiao Yan, the other heading for Yue Mei behind him.

Looking calmly at the two men darting towards him, Xiao Yan slowly shook his head. Two Dou Wangs were no match for him, even before he became a Battle Emperor, let alone now.

Yue Mei, seeing the Golden Wild Geese warrior approaching, her eyes turned cold. She grabbed a sharp sword, but before she could move, a hand suddenly gripped her wrist.

Startled, Yue Mei was pulled by Xiao Yan, and looking up, she saw a cold smile on his young face.

Seeing Xiao Yan protect Yue Mei, Jin Zheng and his companion sneered, their speed increasing. The Golden Wild Geese Rings in their hands glowed with a chilling light under the golden hue.

“Explosive Fire Ring!” Just as the two figures neared Xiao Yan, he spoke coldly, and a green fire ring spread out from him, hitting the two men with a loud explosion.

The two figures stiffened, and then, in a very embarrassed posture, flew backwards. After skidding several meters, they finally stopped, spitting blood. They looked up, horrified, at the smiling young man in black robes, unable to believe that they had been defeated so easily with just one strike.

Their shocked gazes interlocked, their foreheads drenched in cold sweat, their hoarse voices filled with disbelief: “Battle Emperor?”

Though both Jin Zheng and his companion thought it absurd that this young man, who looked no older than twenty, could be a Battle Emperor, the energy contained in the fire ring was undeniably that of a Battle Emperor!

“When did the Jia Ma Empire produce such a young Battle Emperor? Why have we never heard of this?” As Jin Zheng and his companion reeled in shock, Yue Mei, her mouth open in astonishment, also found it hard to believe that the young man beside her was a Battle Emperor. His cultivation talent was simply too terrifying.

Just as Yue Mei was stunned, two muffled sounds echoed. Raising her head, she saw Jin Zheng and his companion fleeing in different directions.

“Quick, stop them, don’t let them escape!” Yue Mei shouted, but her words had barely left her mouth when she realized Xiao Yan had already disappeared.

“This speed…” Yue Mei wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, feeling a shiver. Luckily, he was a strong man from the Jia Ma Empire; otherwise, no one except the queen herself could match him.

As Yue Mei wiped her sweat, two figures descended from the sky and were thrown roughly onto the ground. Seeing the two corpses, Xiao Yan casually kicked them, saying, “You ran pretty fast…”

Yue Mei, staring at the two who had tried to escape in different directions but still met this fate, and then at Xiao Yan strolling leisurely towards her, her forehead dripped with cold sweat. His strength was definitely greater than the peak Battle Emperors of the Flame Alliance!

“What is your name, sir?” Finally, she asked cautiously.

Seeing her cautious demeanor, Xiao Yan couldn’t help but smile, a teasing look on his face. “Commander Yue Mei, don’t you remember that little lecher who accidentally peeked at you bathing in the desert and was chased for thousands of miles?”

These words made a past scene in the desert flash in Yue Mei’s mind. Looking at the somewhat familiar young face, her seductive snake-like eyes widened in shock.

“You?!”
