The moment the colossal beast appeared, a faintly displeased, thunderous voice resounded across the lake. Gamma, standing by the lake, looked up at the creature with a smile. “You old geezer, I’m not disturbing you. Gamma nodded, smiling, and turned his gaze to Xiao Yan on the shore, saying, “Mr. Xiao Yan, I leave it in your hands…”
Xiao Yan nodded slightly, his shoulders trembling, and a pair of emerald fire wings emerged from his back. The wings flapped, carrying him slowly through the air until he hovered above the massive head of the beast.
“Who are you?” The giant eyes of the beast focused on the small figure before it. The mist surrounding its body suddenly diminished, and after a moment, it bellowed, “Boy, your fire essence is too strong. Stay away!”
Seeing the beast’s dramatic reaction, everyone was taken aback. Xiao Yan quickly recovered, glancing at his emerald fire wings, realizing that the beast, a water elemental, would naturally be wary of flame, and his unique inner flame, a fusion of two, was especially fearsome.
Just as the beast was becoming more agitated, a sound broke the air as Gally and Zi Yan, her face full of curiosity, soared up to Xiao Yan’s side.

“Stupid worm, who do you think is looking for trouble?!” Dazed by the roar, the young Zi Yan stood up, glaring at the beast, and her gem-like eyes glinted with a purple light.
The beast’s eyes, glaring at Zi Yan, noticed the strange, purple glow. It felt an inexplicable pressure spreading from its very soul, and its large body sunk, as if pushed by some tremendous force.
Although its body steadied after a moment, the beast was shaken. Its eyes, filled with shock, recognized Zi Yan’s strength at the level of a Dou Wang, but the oppressive energy clearly came from within her. Such a sense of pressure usually came from a much stronger power or, possibly, from bloodline.
For the second, the beast concluded Zi Yan’s bloodline exerted a suppressive effect, akin to the dominance of a superior over an inferior.
“Is this little girl a magical beast? What kind of ancient bloodline does she possess?” Staring at Zi Yan, the beast let out a low, compliant sound, filled with a subtle submission.
Gamma, noticing the change in the beast’s tone, was stunned. He glanced at Zi Yan, amazed. The beast, considered a rare and powerful species, was intimidated by this girl. Who was she?
Seeing the beast’s submission, Zi Yan puffed out her chest, making a face at Xiao Yan with a proud hum.
Xiao Yan smiled, ruffling Zi Yan’s hair, his curiosity growing. “Alright, let’s not waste any more time.”
Gamma smiled, and Xiao Yan summoned the Essence Bone-Shaping Pill. “Are you ready? It might hurt a bit…”
“Thank you, sir.” The beast, despite its ferocity, was subdued by the scene. Observing Xiao Yan and Zi Yan’s familiarity, it was polite to the former.
Xiao Yan, with a smile, channeled a thread of emerald flame, enveloping the pill. Flicking his fingers, the flames carried the pill over to the beast’s head. The green light persisted for an hour, and the pill, now reduced in size, had dispelled most of its medicine. After another half hour, the light began to dim, and with a final, low thud, the Essence Bone-Shaping Pill turned to ashes, and the light vanished.
Xiao Yan, relieved, retracted his soul power, and clapped his hands, turning to Gamma. “Most of its injuries are healed. With some rest, it will be back to peak condition.”
“Thank you, Mr. Xiao Yan. If you ever need help, just come to me. I’ll do my best to assist you,” Gamma said excitedly.
Xiao Yan waved his hand, replying, “No need for help. Just make sure the Royal Family gives their all in the upcoming battle.”
“Of course!” Gamma replied firmly.
As the two spoke, the beast’s eyes snapped open, and a fierce aura surged from it, startling the wildlife. Feeling the beast’s formidable presence, Xiao Yan nodded, pleased. Its strength was indeed worth the effort. Though the beast’s recovery boosted the royal family’s power, he hoped they wouldn’t overestimate themselves. He could heal, and he could also take away their strength…
