Chapter 1308: Chaos

In the pitch-black, silent void, streams of light suddenly appeared, and after a moment, they slowly halted outside Ancient Dragon Island, their radiance fading to reveal a series of formidable figures. Most of these people wore dark golden armor, adorned with dragon-shaped patterns. The dragons on the armor seemed to undulate, as if alive, exuding a powerful and vast dragon’s aura. Besides those wearing the dark golden armor, there were also figures with bare upper bodies, whose forms were exceptionally robust, giving a strong visual impact.

“They are from the Western Dragon Island and Southern Dragon Island!” Upon seeing these figures, voices filled with anger resounded from Ancient Dragon Island.

“Xia Ao, you dare to lead an army into our Eastern Dragon Island! You have quite some nerve!”

In the sky, the space twisted, and figures began to appear. At the forefront was Elder Qiyu, who had spoken with Elder Zhubi that day. His face, which usually did not wear a smile, now looked particularly stern, emanating an aura of authority even in repose.

“Haha, Elder Qiyu, don’t get mad at me. I am only following orders. I’m here to invite the person with royal blood to come to the Western Dragon Island for a visit.”

From beyond the void, a man in dark golden armor with thick eyebrows stepped forward. As he moved, the empty space seemed to tremble, and he turned to look at Elder Qiyu within the barrier, laughing heartily.

“I suppose the Western Dragon King wants to confine the one with royal blood on his island, huh? Hmph, he is just a minor branch of the royal bloodline, yet he dares to call himself a dragon king. He should be wary of overstepping!”

Elder Qiyu growled coldly.

The man named Xia Ao said indifferently, “Now that the Ancient Dragons are split into four, the Western Dragon King still possesses royal blood, so his influence surpasses the regular bloodlines. In fact, your Eastern Dragon Island truly shouldn’t exist; among the four islands, you are the only one without a true dragon king, and such an existence cannot be acknowledged.”

“Whether it’s acknowledged or not isn’t up to the other three great dragon kings to decide. There is no such thing as eastern, southern, western, or northern dragon kings—there was once only the Dragon Emperor. The rest do not have the right to enforce clan laws.”

Elder Qiyu raised his gaze and stated.

“Hehe, I don’t want to waste words with you, old man. I have orders to follow, so hand over the person with royal blood. Otherwise, this won’t end well,” Xia Ao sneered.

“Just with you?” Elder Qiyu’s expression turned cold, his hands clenching as a terrifying surge of energy rapidly condensed.

“Heh, in terms of combat, your Eastern Dragon Island is the weakest among the four. If my Western Dragon Armor troops attack in full force, your island won’t last long.”

Seeing Elder Qiyu preparing to take action, Xia Ao waved his hand, and the armored figures behind him stepped forward, their overwhelming auras coalescing and spreading towards Ancient Dragon Island.

As the auras enveloped, Elder Zhubi in the depths of the island became increasingly grim. Glancing at Xiao Yan seated before the giant cauldron, he said sternly, “Protect Mr. Xiao Yan. Make sure he remains unharmed, no matter what!”

“Yes!” Low, determined voices echoed from the surrounding mountain peaks in response to Elder Zhubi.

Nodding, Elder Zhubi vanished, reappearing in front of Elder Qiyu. Raising his head, he looked at the floating figures in the void, finally setting his gaze on the shirtless, muscular figures.

“The Western Dragon Armor troops, and the Southern Dragons’ Brutish Dragon Army…both sides’ elite forces have been dispatched. But I wonder who leads the Brutish Dragon Army now?”

“Ha, no surprise it’s Elder Zhubi. You found me even though I was hiding,” a voice drawled, and in the dark void, a figure wrapped in crude leather emerged. The old man, his skin a pale white, greeted Elder Zhubi with a smirk.

“Oh, it’s Elder Manyan!” Elder Zhubi glanced at the elder, maintaining his calm, “Elder Zhubi, hand over the person. We too follow orders. The Ancient Dragons are already like this, and unifying them will be extremely difficult. The three great dragon kings will never allow it.”

Looking at Elder Zhubi, Manyan sighed, “Hand over the person. Don’t pretend you can resist us. If not for your Great Elder and Second Elder being in seclusion, we wouldn’t dare to challenge your Eastern Dragon Island.”

A figure suddenly shot into the sky, undeterred by the overwhelming presence of the Western Dragon soldiers, roaring fiercely, “Hei Qing, you still have that same brash temper.”

Xia Ao glanced at Hei Qing, turning back to Manyan, saying, “We have no time to waste. Let’s start.” With his words, the dark golden dragon armor on Xia Ao erupted in a brilliant golden light, a formidable energy bursting forth like a storm, accompanied by a deep, rumbling dragon’s roar.

“Dragon Armor troops, move out! Capture the person with royal blood and bring them back!”

Under Xia Ao’s command, the many armored figures roared in unison, releasing a ferocious aura as they turned into streaks of light, charging towards Ancient Dragon Island.

“Alas, let’s begin,” sighed Manyan. At his order, the shirtless figures nodded, their hands transforming into scales and claws, then charging into the fray.

“Stop them!” Seeing the numerous attackers, Elder Zhubi ordered sternly.

“Yes!” On his command, more hazy figures surged forth from Ancient Dragon Island, their powerful auras filling the sky. The sounds of fierce physical clashes and exploding energy reverberated, ceaseless.

Hei Qing, his face darkened, struck a bare-chested, claw-armed opponent, sending him flying. Just as he was about to strike again, Elder Zhubi appeared before him, “Hei Qing, protect Xiao Yan. Do not let him come to any harm. We’ll take care of this.”

Though reluctant to leave, Hei Qing understood Xiao Yan’s importance. Clenching his teeth, he rapidly retreated, vanishing into the heart of the island.

“Elder Zhubi, let me be your opponent,” Manyan’s skin turned to a greyish hue, covered with deep purple dragon scales, his arms changing into sharp claws. Transforming into a semi-dragon, he released a fierce, domineering aura, warping the surrounding space.

“Long time no see. I wonder if you’ve finally reached the level of a Fighting Venerate,” Manyan, his eyes dark purple from the transformation, laughed and leaped, instantly appearing before Elder Zhubi, swiping his claw.

BOOM!

Explosive sounds erupted across Ancient Dragon Island, battles breaking out in the skies, the originally peaceful atmosphere shattered. Though both Western and Southern Islands sent their elite forces, capable of devastating any powerful faction in Central Region, the Eastern Island’s warriors managed to stabilize after the initial panic due to their own formidable fighters.

Amid the fierce battle, the center of the island remained relatively calm, the volcanic crater radiating terrifying heat. Inside the giant cauldron, Zi Yan’s hard body gradually softened, exuding a boundless, frightening energy.

WHISTLE!

Above the cauldron, Hei Qing watched intently, until whistling sounds came from afar. Turning, he saw a dozen powerful figures rushing in.

“Stop them, do not let them disturb Xiao Yan!”

At Hei Qing’s shout, lightning-fast figures intercepted the attackers, sparks flying as another skirmish broke out.

Though the new arrivals were blocked, Hei Qing’s mood did not improve, knowing that the Northern Dragon Island would soon act. With just enough power to withstand two fronts, a third intervention would spell real danger.

Glancing at the young, slender figure meditating before the giant cauldron, Hei Qing clenched his fists, muttering, “Xiao Yan, hurry up…”
